This was my first experience with Thai food, and I had a social media coupon for this restaurant. When I arrived at True Thai, all the lights in the dining area were turned off. It was a little creepy. I was the only customer. The lady who took my order was not overly friendly, but I wouldnt label her as "rude", either. I found out when I got there that they dont take credit cards for orders under $10. I wish that info was posted on their facebook page or other websites, because I had to order more food and two overpriced bottles of soda in order to meet that criteria (my coupon was for $16 worth of food.) I then sat in the dark and waited a little less than 15 minutes for my carry-out order. Some of the food my family and I tried was great. The satay was fabulous, as was the cucumber sauce that came with it. It was amazing! We also ordered some spring rolls, which were great (but very small). The cashew chicken was tasty, but the ginger chicken was very spicy. I cant tolerate a lot of spice, so I was unable to eat most of my meal. Im a fan of ginger chicken and Ive never tasted a dish so hot. Also, I paid for crab rangoon (since I had to spend more money so I could use my credit card) and I never received it. That really bothered me, because I would have had more to eat if Id received all of my order. As it was, my portion of the satay, the thumb-sized spring roll and what I could eat of the ginger chicken wasnt really enough for a meal. If youre a fan of Thai food and all the cuisine it includes, I suppose I could recommend this place. Some of what we ate was quite good. However, if I were to go back, Id double check my order to ensure I received everything I paid for, Id stick to appetizers for my actual meal, and Id bring cash! Id also hope the lights would be on, as my experience here was pretty creepy.

I LOVE this little place! Im a very picky Thai food critic... Thai food is my favorite food. Ive traveled a lot & have had some of the best Thai food in California & other places, but the food here is excellent with great flavor! We got the beef fried rice & chicken pad Thai. Im a bit picky about pad Thai because I have grown to love the more authentic traditional kind (which is not so sweet), but I actually enjoyed my dish. Service was great & the place was clean. I have lived in Louisville a year now, but I wont go to any of the Thai restaurants here bc I havent found one worth returning to until I found this place!!!!

I tried Sala Thai for my first Thai food experience and I was instantly in love. Their Yellow Curry Chicken and Pad Thai Gai (Chicken Pad Thai) were two of the very first menu items I had the pleasure of tasting, and the moment was bittersweet. For in that moment I had at the same time discovered an instant favorite, but also realized just how long I had been deprived of this delicious cuisine. You owe it to yourself to pay Sala Thai a visit - your taste buds will thank you.

Very kind staff with great customer service. Yummy, fresh food with fabulous favor and fair pricing. Small inside, but warm and inviting atmosphere. All around a great place. Very willing to make customizations for you. I eat plant based and plenty of the menu to choice from. Fried Spring Rolls and Fried Tofu are delicious enough to eat as just your meal.

Fairly tasty. They offer all entrees in gluten free, which is huge for me. Ive only sampled one item, the Pad Thai. It was fresh and well prepared, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The location was clean, the staff friendly, and service was fairly quick. Ill be going back.

This was my first time and everything was excellent. Out of the items my family and I ate my favorite was their black rice pudding and the spring rolls. The sauce that came with the spring rolls was great. If I lived in the area I would definitely patronize this place. Folks give it a try.

If youve been to Mais in Jeffersonville and only have a taste for their Thai, youre safe to eat here too. Theyre family and use the same recipes. Simply put, the best Thai food youll find anywhere around here. Period!

I Travel and eat Thai frequently. I am from out of town and found this place on google maps. I ordered the Panang Curry. Service was great, the food came very fast, and the Panang was as good as any I have had.

Sala Thai is literally the only Thai place Ill eat at. Ive tried other places, but none of it compares to Sala Thai. I probably eat here every other weekend.. the red curry is my favorite and highly addicting.

Best taste, friendly service, quick delivery of hot food, and just a lot more Bang for your buck. Also note: as spicy as you want it, or perfect original recipient.

Oh my gosh. Perfect thai food the way I like it. No fish sauce. Just really really good flavor. I prefer the Thai basil fried rice with chicken. Boom.
