The only reason this got 1 star instead of 0 is because the food was pretty good. Went here for the first (and last) time a couple of weeks ago. Visited for lunch on a week day. Wasnt busy and I walked right up to the counter. I stood there for at least 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or took my order. Ordered the 2 piece meal - pretty straight forward. After 15 minutes (yes 15) my food came out, but it was incorrect and they game me some sort of chicken finger basket. It took another 15 minutes to get the correct food. 15 minutes to get two pieces of chicken at a chicken restaurant. Im a pretty patient person when it comes to fast food type service - they cant always be fast. However, this was different, it took forever and the folks working didnt seem to care. There was no apology, no communication while I was waiting letting me know what the hold up was or anything. This is just flat out poor customer service - beyond poor honestly. My experience wasnt that unique as others who came in were waiting insane amounts of time as well. And to top it all off there was a malfunction with the fountain drink unit and it was literally spilling liquid onto the floor. There was no clean up while I sat there and ate, so again, really poor and indifferent customer service. I couldnt imagine what this place is like when it is actually busy. No way this place stays in business or is profitable for another year. Just drive a bit north and go to Jaggers, or Zaxbys for that matter. I wont be back.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Went to the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in 9403 Ambleside Drive, Fishers Indiana to order for the family. There was one car behind me and nobody in front. I ordered a 12 piece family meal for all 6 of us and asked for it to be all mild dark meat. I was rudely told that I can get what they have or wait 15 minutes because it is a custom order. I went inside and noticed that there was all kinds of mild chicken ready but was told that it was not for custom orders and I would have to wait. Spoke to the manager and was told the same thing. Ridiculous that I have to wait 15 minutes for chicken that is already done. There were no patrons inside so they could have given me that chicken and cook more for the "standby" rack. All I wanted was dark meat (which is cheaper than white meat by the way yet its the same price). This is the second time I have had issues with this store. Last time there was no chicken available AT ALL! Nevertheless, I went to KFC and they had my order in a few minutes with no hassle, no rudeness, and exactly what I wanted. Some serious changes or training needs to be done in this store because other customers have also left bad reviews on the google recommendations. Then again, the manager might not care.

Popeyes Chicken has amazing food. Chicken, biscuits and sides -- all amazing. But this stores customer service is horrible. Compels me to apply for the store manager position and run this store right. Its located in a high traffic, mid income area. No reason for bad service. My cust serv exp: I wait at the counter for 2 minutes, just standing there staring at employees on the other side waiting for service. A manager was there, too. Thats a cherry on top. He doesnt acknowledge me till hes bending under the counter to just say "well be with you in a minute". Uh, OK. Then I order to-go. They serve my food on a tray. Ok, no problem, easy fix. But then I have to wait another 2 minutes just to watch an employee move in slow motion as she packs the food into a to-go box. Again, left me standing there behind the counter staring because this location is OBLIVIOUS to customer interaction or good service. I never rant. But I had to for this experience.

I really want to love Popeyes Chicken. I do love their food. It is delicious. What I cant get over is the TERRIBLE service and management at many of their locations. On this visit I saw two other patrons walk out due to the wait to have their order taken. Employees in the back talking on cell phones and yelling and arguing with each other. No sign of any semblance of management. Skimpy portions. I ordered a side of Cajun rice which is already small for the price and the cup was only half full. When the server handed me my food she said "i think I made your sandwich right." She did indeed make it right and it tasted great but she should know how to properly prepare the food. Perhaps she had to do the job of the guy in back who was too busy on his cell phone. I have had the rare good service at some locations but not this one. Plusses were good food and clean restuaruant minuses were TERRIBLE service and long waits.

I bought an 8 piece box of spicy chicken today and when I got home with it, every piece was dark brown and burnt. I called them to tell them, and they knew it was like that, but they were in the process of filtering their oil. My comment is, dont filter it, throw it out! If you produce a batch of burnt chicken, throw it away and try again. You can only filter new oil, it doesnt rejuvenate old oil. I keep seeing executive management in this store, retraining the employees. If they are willing to let burnt, bad chicken be handed to a customer, they are all wasting their time. Close the store and find something else to do. It starts and ends with the quality of the chicken.

8/15/2015 Poorly ran. Employees completely unsanitary and apathetic. Touching their heads and faces while boxing food. Removing their hats over opened food containers. "Threatening" to walk out on the job. Manager was meek and completely non effective. Actually sweeping the booths while all the chaos is going on in the kitchen and serving area. Observed all this in the 10-15 minutes I waited for our meal. If you decide to go here, make sure you watch how they prep and bag your food. Dare not go through the drive thru. I was completely disgusted and refused the 50% of next visit coupon. Got a refund and not looking back.

Very poor service. Last night around 5:30pm I waited inside for over 30 minutes then ask why it was taking too long and they said they were out of spice chicken (what I ordered) and I had to wait another 12 minutes! I tried to add an apply pie to the order and was told they were out and had to wait 7 minutes! This is not a sit down restaurant, but fast food. The staff at this location are incompetent and had a bad attitude. No sorry, no please let me do something to make it better...nothing. Many others were in the same position I was in, waiting forever...I will never go here again.

I used to work at this location and I have come back a couple times since I left. Many of the workers, with the exception of a few, are apathetic and do not care one way or another whether you are a satisfied customer or not. This includes how long you wait, how fresh the chicken is, and the quality of the service you receive. As a former employee who tried my best to give each customer the best possible service, this is disappointing. Management needs to weed out those who are dragging this place down and start over with people who actually care about the people they are serving.
