Dinner was great had breakfast all around except 1 for a table of 10. 6 children ages 14 months-10 years old. Waiting for grandma to finish eating my 14 month old was going around a nearby table with me standing there keeping her out of the way. Some older guy said you need a play place. I asked what? And he informed me I needed to get my daughter. He said it in such a manner that made me wish Id stayed home. My boyfriend asked the waitress his problem and she informed us he didnt like loud noises. So leaving he told the guy sorry were so loud we only have like 6 kids. The man then followed us out and when my boyfriend tried to shut the door he started yelling at us. No one had complained about my daughter or anything. If they had i would of done things differently. She wasnt even all over the store just around 1 table and back to her seat and then again. We thought it was a family restaurant. Instead my boyfriends daughter went home in tears over some man screaming at her dad. We will not be going back .

Hands down the best country-cooking diner around. There are daily specials during the week and a large breakfast selection, all at competitive prices. The staff is AMAZING!!! The other local restaurants could take a few lessons from these ladies! The food is quick and you are usually too full to try one of there awesome slices of pie. You wont find fancy here just fantastic food with a friendly face. LOVE!

Stopped in for breakfast while passing through town. The food was good and a good value but the service is what sets this place apart. An elderly gentleman who was obviously a regular came and the waitress pulled a chair out and helped him sit down. She then took his walker and put it out of the way and.made sure he was comfortable. Thats service you wont see in a big chain restaurant.

We love their home cooking! Everything is good! Breakfast, veggie omelet and oatmeal! Quiche! Lunch, sumptuous catfish, garden salad and the best tartar sauce! Their portions are ginormous and their prices are low. The seats are comfy and the atmosphere is charming. The wait staff are helpful, attentive and friendly.

This blast from the past shines with amazing staff and genuine old school country cooking. Nothing here is fancy -- and they like it that way. Portions are big and prices are very reasonable. Great selection of all the classics, from Fried Chicken to Meatloaf to Beef Manhattans. Stop in and feel like family.

My family visited the Village Inn in Bloomington last Saturday evening (Feb. 23, 2016) and I want to say it was great. The building was beautiful. Love the view from the room we were seated in. The food was magnificent. Please dont change a thing...food, service, and the price. I will be back.

I havent found a place since I have left the east coast that serves a better beef Manhattan!!! Outstanding!!! And real mashed potatoes!!!! Home cooking at its best!!! Also the wait staff is the friendliest I have found anywhere in the Midwest!! I will be back often!!!

The food is prestige. Full of flavor, not that bland powder taste. That so many places, like to pass off as food. Service is where it needs to be, friendly and courteous. Your not going to find a better diner, in ellettsville.

The Village Inn is the best! They have the best fried chicken you have ever put in your mouth. Same for their cole slaw. Go there on Thursday. Its all you can eat fried chicken.

It would have been nice to have bacon and mayo on the BLT. What tiny bit was on there was cold and hard, tiny bit of mayo. Wont be back. The service was great on the plus side.
