Where to begin? Severely dissapointed. I hardly write restaurant review. I intended to go to Shanghai Restaurant but I thought Hong Kong was the one (I know, stupid me). First I noticed the server wearing stripped track pants, no big deal. She wasnt very friendly. Then I noticed the empty dinning room (5PM), OK, less people to fight with. I headed to the restrooms to cleanup, it was dirty but tolerable. EVERYTHING I touched was sticky- the plates, the bowls, the utensils, the counter tops, the silverware, salt/pepper/soy sauce bottles... you get the point. The food... - Soup- Hot and Sour was hot and tasty (though I couldnt find any crispy fried wonton to go with the soups). Didnt eat the egg drop because the top was all crusty. Also didnt eat the wonton soup because the wonton were pretty much disintegrated. Miso soup, big chunk of tofu? No thank you. - "Seafood"- there were crawfish, baked salmon, mussell, baked crabmeat (so so, old)... Alright, Ill just sum it up... The sushi was OLD and crunchy, the staple chicken dishes werent too bad. The chicken broccoli seemed to be old (tried the broccoli, old). Other dishes seemed to have been there for a while. The fried rice was so-so. Crab rangoon wasnt too bad, sweet and sour chicken was as expected, other fried stuff was stale. THE lo-mein noodle smelled like it was rotten (have you smelled rotten rice?). I took a bite and spit it out. I can go on and on and on... Please know that I usually finish 4-5 plates at other buffet. However, I barely finished 2 full plates. There was a lot of leftover. OK, here the finale. The female server was taking care of a girl (daughter)? Not sure what happened, but the server was irritated by the girl the whole time I was there. She yelled at the girl constantly. Im sure the girl had been there ALL DAY and there wasnt anything for her to do. The server raised her voice several times (unprofessional). I didnt tip the server much. The girl brought out a takeout order for another customer as I was paying for my meal. I handed the girl $2 and the server shouted "Give it to me." I told the girl to keep the money but she seemed obligated to give it to the server. I shouldve left and gone to Shanghai instead. This is my once-a-month treat and Im still dissapointed (4.5 hours later). Please note that Im not critical of restaurants and usually would tolerate things. But for $11.xx (with tax), that was the WORST experience at a Chinese buffet ever. Please read other reviews before deciding to go there. Dont waste your time and money. -

Second visit: I was in the area for work again. Decided to give this place another look. 12:15 when I went in. Most of the food seemed fairly fresh. However, they like to mix the leftovers from the previous tray in with the new food. Also, they only have a B rating and a score of 88/100 from the health department. Honey chicken, rice noodles, jalapeno chicken, fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, imitation crab puffs, pork egg rolls, and spinach/cream cheese in puff pastry dough folded up(dont remember what they called em, but they were probably the best tasting thing I had) were all pretty decent. Green beans had good flavor but were very cold. Black pepper chicken was just ok. Anything shrimp tasted and looked a little sketchy. General tso chicken looked gross, but I dont normally go for that dish anyway. . First visit: Rating solely on appearance of food. I didnt dare eat here because everything looked old and nasty. It was 6:30pm so you would think the dishes would be fresh for dinner time.

My husband and I stopped there at 4:30 local time with our 5 week old baby. The waitress and her daughter (about 9 years old) were very friendly. Refilled drinks promptly. Our booth was sticky, taped together and broken- it lifted where I sat my baby in the car seat when I sat down. The glass partitions had sauce splatters on it. The plates were all sticky. Food was hot, but not good. We had vegetable lo mein, general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, green beans, chicken and broccoli, egg roll, fruit, jello, and tiramisu. Total was just over $24 with a water and lemonade, plus tip on the table. One fortune cookie was good, the other was very stale. The glass doors on the way out were covered in greasy fingerprints and handprints. My husband is now vomiting on the side of the interstate, 30 miles down the road. We will not be eating there again.

We try this place about once a year to see if it gets any better. Since they changed mgmt it went down hill. Last time we ate there the food was old and the place was empty. Im not sure how they stay in business. As we were leaving I told my wife not to look at the glass divider wall but she looked anyway and saw what I did. Roaches crawling around. If there are roaches in the dining room, you can guess where they are coming from. Disgusting. We vowed to never go back. Please reconsider going to this place. Ever.

The place was almost empty when myself and a friend went in. Ordered water. Then checked out the food on the bar. We both came back to the table and talked it over. We walked out. Food was crusty from being out too long, not stirred or kept fresh and the floor around the entire buffet was slick and nasty. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! They just need to close up shop and do something else in their life because food is not it!

Under new management... omg... horrific food. As we walked in, employees were cleaning fish tank and emptying the dirty fish water outside front door into parking lot. Food was greasy, very salty, and old. My partner called to let them know it was the worst meal we have ever eaten there, and they replied "Thank you" and hung up on him. This business should be closed by the Health Department. Very disgusting and it should be boycotted by all.

I like the food. Its clearly ran by a small family, the owner is almost always there working. The food isnt amazing, its about what you expect from a cheaper place, but I go there fairly often and I enjoy it. Nothing about it makes me sick or anything (All of it is well cooked and plentiful). My only real complaint is that they could refresh the food a bit more often, but theyre not busy enough to easily do that.

Had an A rating on the door. Some people have complained in the past I see but when you are going to ANY buffet type place in a small town its best to go when its crowded to get the best food. We usually do carryout and everything is fixed fresh to order with huge portions we love the Mongolian Chicken and Hot spicy Chicken.

The food was dripping with grease, meat was dried out, and food actually looked like it had been sitting under light for hours. It was 80 outside with no fans or A/C on inside. Wow I used to love this place, it was cheap with good food and now I Ill find someplace else and definitely pay more money for better. Yuck....

This place is awful! For two on a Monday night, it was $20.30! No food was hot, it was mildly warm at best. Every table was dirty and disgusting! It was dead and the food was getting low in certain dishes. This place is awful and I would not recommend it to anyone! Overpriced, dirty, and bad food!
