Ive been to Upstairs multiple times with different people, and its not worth it. If youre anyone other than a 21 year old female wearing skimpy clothes, be prepared to wait 10 min. for your drinks while the bartenders serve the girls first and flirt with them. Dont bother with the jukebox; the bartenders hook up their iPods to the sound system and WILL NOT refund any money you put into it (mostly cause theyre too busy tending to the girls). The womens restroom is always out of order and gross. They have pool tables and darts, but its so crowded that you cant really play either (or sit down anywhere, for that matter). And the crowd there is a bunch of people who dont realize theyre as overrated as the bar itself. Sure, theres AMFs, but theyre about the same alcohol content as a Long Island iced tea, so whats the point? If youre going to go, I recommend having 1 AMF, then leaving and going to some place thats actually fun.

I went to the Upstairs last night and stood at the small and barren bar for five to ten minutes while the douchebag tending bar poured three shots and flirted with some sorostitutes. When I finally interrupted him the guy was a dick, basically telling me that i should have just waited another five to ten minutes for him to do his job. I offered to take my money elsewhere, and he said I should do that. Recap: If youre a sorostitute wearing a shirt that shows what you have, and you want a meathead douchebag of a man to hit on you at the bar, go to the Upstairs. If that does not describe you, dont.

I go every Tuesday after work. I love it because all the drinks are two dollars (beer, shots, mixed drinks, etc), there is a nice patio overlooking Kirkwood, Drew (the bartender on Tuesday afternoon) plays really good tunes and it isnt busy til late. Best place in town for after work pints on Tuesday. One star off because the have without a shadow of a doubt the worst restroom outside of Bonnaroo.

One of my absolute favorite bars in bloomington. Somewhat hidden above Jimmy Johns and beside Dunkirks. I always start my night at the upstairs pub before I go to any other bars. YOU HAVE TO GO TO UPSTAIRS AND ORDER AN "AMF" it will change your life.

Not a bad spot at all, albeit a little messy, but - as far as I can tell - theres no way to get in touch with them. The phone just rings forever and their email bounces. In my opinion, a business should be responsive to their customers.
