Long story short, I ended up hanging out here for a couple hours. I grabbed dinner and a few drinks. The blended beer is really good and only $4 on Wednesdays! I also had the magners Bellini mixed drink and claddagh coffee which was both excellent, I highly recommend those. I got the shamrock wings and they were sweet with a slight kick of spiciness. It was kind of dry, but I got extra sauce on the side. The service was amazing! I got a free shot invented from the bartender too! Overall it was a good experience. P.s. I only took off one star because of the dry wings, but the bartender suggested extra sauce so that made it a lot better.

We have been long time customers to Claddagh and it is not a restaurant that you go to if you want quick service. We kept coming back because we enjoyed the food especially the fish and chips. We also eat early to beat the rush in hopes of not having to wait an hour or longer for our food. Today we arrived before 5:30 and by 5:40 nobody had been to our table to get our drink orders while 3 tables of guests who arrived after us already received their drinks. I understand servers have bad days but the service is progressively getting worse everytime we eat at Claddagh. We ended up leaving without ordering. The place we ended up going was fabulous.

Wow. It took 20 minutes to get a dessert...20 of them which came out as some premade junk cheesecake. The bartender gave us a voucher but ugh, we inquired about it the length of the time before it came out to which we got a disgruntled "the kitchen is slammed". This is our third time here trying it out, mostly for late drinks and apps, but honestly im done with the place. Slow service, staff seems miserable. If im gonna drop $60+ again on booze, food, and sweets, ill be going elsewhere. I imagine this is a management issue and a staff not prepared to serve high volume needs.

Not too impressed with this outfit. A bit overpriced and low quality. I got the special (fish & chips)...which I should have known better, NOT to get the "special". Anyway the for about $12+ tip I got a couple small institutional-grade fried mystery-fish pieces and some rather crappy potato wedges with some nasty seasoning to cover up the bad-grease-flavor from the fryer. I thought real fish & chips were supposed to be Cod and fresh-cut naked fries??? Anyway...I might try something else before I give up on this place, but Im not to eager to return anytime soon.

Our server Keri was the best! I was actually in the process of recruiting her to come and work with us at American Income Life but she is going away to school. Fried pickles and Shamrock wings were great. My wife had the fish and chips....no complaints. The Banana dessert was incredible!!! Bonus...they played "It feels good to be a Gangsta" by the Ghetto boys.... after close...great way to end my wifes 33rd birthday!

First impressions are of course important, and this place took that to another level instantly greeted by satisfied customers leaving and kind and forward hostess to sit me. Good menu all around. Beer menu good menu. All good. And the taste was excellent. Very pleased overall and satisfied with the place. Great place for dinner before a night out after a long day of work. Lots of pretty girls and friendly faces.

The missus and I had dinner here tonight. I had the fish and chips, a traditional Ireland fare, and she had the pork sliders. I lived in the UK for 3 years so I know how my dish should look and taste. That was not the case tonight. My meal tasted like deep fried boiled feet. The batter was wrong but at least they got the fish correct. Where in Ireland do they sell pulled pork sliders again?

Back in Plainfield on company business and found this place doing a search and decided to check it out. Very spacious and a great atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The fish and chips was the best Ive had in a long time, better than the usual you get at most places. Good beer and good service. Ill be going back before leaving town, and will drop by again next time Im in town.

I like their beer selection and the place has a nice atmosphere. Ive always liked the bartenders there. The fish and chips are always pretty good. However, the appetizers are overpriced and weak. Dont get the chicken wings. I cant say when I have ever been more disappointed. The bread sticks were good, but the cheese dip could use some real help and this was way over priced.

Great atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service. Claddagh has a wonderful Irish menu, as one would expect, and their more continental options are done with the same amount of excellence and flavor as well. Food and drink specials can keep you coming back for meal after meal. But also be on the lookout for unannounced special events (such as Bushmills Irish Whiskey tastings)!

Food is subpar, "Irish Pub" is a joke, and prices are outrageously inflated for the sad excuse for food and beverage you get. Went on "Trivia night" and were required to pay a 21% gratuity(which was explained AFTER we ordered) for inattentive service. I will never return and I would recommend you skip this horrible service and terrible food.

Came to Claddaughs in Plainfield tonight. Havent been here in a long time. Ordered corn beef and cabbage. ...this is what I got. Very little cabbage. ..lots of under cooked carrots. .potatoes. Corn beef was inedible...more fat than meat. All swimming in grease! Wont be back! Wish I could include the picture of what it looked like!!!

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Claddaugh last night. When we got home, we both started feeling awful and are still feeling sick. We had completely different dishes, too, which makes me wonder if its a food handling problem. At 6 months pregnant, food poisoning was NOT what I needed!

The kitchen is hit or miss here. Sometimes the food is really good, and sometimes its terrible. The pub chips fried in coconut oil are horrible. But the place is clean, comfortable, decorative, and the beer is cold. The service is above average too.

Wait staff wearing headphones, no one at the door to greet customers (I waited 5 minutes before I went to the bar), soda had no syrup (flavoring), and a staff that clearly doesnt want to be here. This is the worst location in this chain, by far!

Decent food. A little pricey, and lacking the pub feel (pop music?? and only a couple TVs playing games). Waitress was great though in contrast to the host (maybe new). Will likely try again, but not the instant positive we hoped for.

This is the place where my wife and I had our first date. Its where I proposed, and where we return each year on the anniversary of that day. We always get the table by the fireplace, and the service and food are always wonderful!

This place was good when it was new. Also, we show up at 11:15pm and the jerks had the doors locked, but let someone else in through the patio door just because she knew someone that works there. That is not how you do business.
