A trendy bakery with free wi-fi making it a perfect place to hang out with friends or get some work done. Rainbow Bakery has an entire case devoted to gluten free options and is a baked-good haven for vegans and non-vegans alike. Personal favourites include their gluten-free oatmeal cookie cream pie, pumpkin ginger muffin, sea salt chocolate chip cookie, the breakfast pastie and cheese and potato pastie (eager to try their chicken leak pastie, which Im told is the best!) and all of their cupcakes. The single best thing I have ever bought from Rainbow was a custom order of salted caramel filled chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel chocolate icing (pictured). It seems their custom orders are currently unavailable, but I believe they plan to bring it back in the near future. Price is not cheap, but affordable - most items sit between $2-$4. Additionally, I will say that I am always a tad disappointed with the consistency and flavour of their well-loved donuts, but maybe thats just me! This place is a gem, regardless, and will be one of the things I miss most about Bloomington when I leave!

I was in town to visit a friend, and we stopped in at Rainbow Bakery. The bakery has a charming atmosphere. Its colorful and the wall is filled with local artwork. The selection of treats offers a combination of unique flavors and classic tastes. The experience was charming overall, and if youre looking for your morning fix of coffee and sugar, I recommend you stop in.

Really delicious vegan and gluten free donuts, cookies, and pastries for a really great price! Quite possibly the best donut place in Bloomington, even if you arent vegan. Cashiers are friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great. Order the Laura Palmer if you get the chance!

Fantastic vegan baked goods! You have to try their oatmeal cream pies and banana chocolate chip muffins! It is a little pricier than other bakeries but worth it for their unique offerings. Also a great place to hangout and work or study with reliable WiFi.

Rainbow Bakery is great. Donuts, pasties, cupcakes, muffins, cookies... all vegan, all superb!! The coffee is really wonderful, too. And the decor is very retro, very cute. Everything about Rainbow is awesome. Go see for yourself!

I was unable to pick up a special order before 7:00pm and the owners graciously stayed late to meet me. The cookies and oatmeal pies were nicely boxed and waiting as I made a quick run in and out. Thank you!

Sweet smell, great treats, best vibe. Its a community hangout that never feels crowded or pretentious, and you dont ever feel cheated by the veganity of Rainbows goods. Simple and lovely!
