Really hard to find a Breakfast place in this town. I was visiting from Wisconsin for a History Reenactment at the local Gun Range. I found this restaurant on the internet. The location is rather hidden inside an old factory building. I really like the train theme idea but it could use more realistics and black and white photos. I dined on early Sunday Morning after have a VERY DIFFICULT TIME FINDING A Breakfast restaurant in town (this place is ONLY OPEN 8AM-1PM Sat. & Sun. and Mon.-Fri 7AM-2PM). I ordered Eggs Your Style, hash browns, sausage and toast. They do not have Multi-Grain OR Whole Wheat toast here. My eggs came prepared wrong; not poached (with hard yolks) but Hard Fried Eggs My waitress offered to take them back but I was hungry and wanted to eat now after finally finding a place to get breakfast in this town. I ordered patty sausage that was under spiced and I think undercooked (NO Browning on the meat surface at all and pale in color). I wish I would have asked what "goetta" was and tried that. The hash browns were a very skimpy portion and again not much browning on the potatoes and tasted of too much butter flavor. The wheat toast was bland and had too much butter on it. My meal was $7.50 (with the 3 egg option ,2 eggs would have been $6.50. I believe this meal is over priced, I needed a larger portion of hash browns AND WHOLE GRAIN BREAD for toast.

Ive made two visits to Big Four and both have been mostly exceptional. The service is excellent, the food always fresh/hot, and most importantly something that would be served on your moms table instead of a distant reminder of what breakfast should be (like real pattied sausage, and actual chopped hash browns). Its also one of the few places to get a good (copious amounts) cup of coffee in Batesville, and they DO have an espresso machine. Theyll make you a real hot pretty drink in a glass mug! Only complaint is that they sat me on my second visit when I was by myself at a 4 top in the middle of the dining room when I wanted to camp a bit to write a blog on my laptop. There were better options and I felt a bit uncomfortable more so when the place started filling up. Ive been told I need to have the burger and I most certainly will soon!

This restaurant is simply glorious. If something is not on the menu, it never hurts to ask if they can make it or tweek a dish to your specific liking. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and Adam himself is top notch and goes above and beyond for their customers. I moved away from the area for work, and I miss being able to pop in for my quesadillas and tomato soup. ;) My folks still go very regularly, and when I visit a lunch at Big Four is a must. Be prepared that the weekends can be very busy and slower than weekdays. Just a side effect of their popularity and great quality! Keep up the wonderful work! Miss you guys!

Words cannot do justice to the wonderful experiences we have encountered in the years that we have been using Izzy’s Catering for our corporate events. Everything is very easy when booking an event - no matter how large or small, the food is always amazing, the staff is flexible and they never cease to exceed our expectations. The pricing is very reasonable, their catering staff is exceptional and I would recommend Izzys for all of your catering needs.

This Place is Great, food was great and well priced. It was a bit busy but it was easter morning. Seems to cater to more of an older crowd, but in Batesville that who seems to have the money. If i had to recommendation i would say, get rid of the pub tables no one wants to get stuff on eggs and bacon and be off balance the entire time.

Very impressed with everything Ive had here. The menu isnt huge, but theres plenty of good stuff to choose from! Well, let me rephrase...the burger menu is huge, but the rest has a bit fewer options. Lunch from here is actually something I look forward to when visiting Batesville for work!

They would not accept my $5 gift card I received at Christmas for purchasing a $25 gift certificate. Also it was noisy and the order of goetta I received was no bigger than a sausage patty. Not worth the trip or money. Will not go back or purchase any more gift certificates.

Roomy industrial vibe. Good food and friendly service. I love when these old buildings are repurposed. They have so much character and history. The Big Four has a good start on making more of that great history.

We stopped in during a road trip and was pretty impressed with the food and atmosphere. The theme is railroad oriented. "The Big 4" was a railroad company that served the Batesville area. It was pretty cool!
