Often times Im disappointed with artisan coffeehouses. More often than not they have a pretentious air and are characteristically decorated, but the drinks are abhorrent. However, Calibre is all the hype and more! I love love love Calibre. Staff is personable, and there is so much comfortable and proper seating. Think heavy wood tables and leather chairs and couches, unlike your flimsy, cheap chain coffee store seating. Great to set up shop here and work on schoolwork/emails for a few hours. Their signature drinks (iced Leanna especially) are a guaranteed hit, so refreshing. There is substance to the show here, and so Id definitely come again.

Was excited to try this place as I am new to Illinois! The service was very slow and two of the baristas were very rude - rolling their eyes at each other. The wait was lengthy and I was not even acknowledged when I was ready to order but rather blurted a "what do you want?" Parul however, was by far the friendliest and most accommodating. He remade my drink and smiled the entire time he was taking my order, when he took over the register. That guy needs a raise!

Local friends do NOT patronize Calibre Coffee in The Arboretum of South Barrington. Im more patient and forgiving than most but the staff at Calibre informed me and the person I was meeting that "we arent a library" when we opted to order drinks at the end of our meeting rather than the beginning. I had to speak up diplomatically about this and the rudeness, sarcasm and arrogance continued. Such a shame as I was happy to find an independent coffee shop.

If you are looking to get a cheap cup of coffee this is not the place for you. However this is a high-quality Cafe with a large variety of drinks both traditional and not. They have a good variety of tasty pastries as well, but they do not have any Savory options. I had a white mocha lavender latte which was tasty. And their apple fritters were also quite good, especially heated. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

The staff is almost always friendly, and the drinks are great! Their mochas are creamy, their signatures are unique and tasty, plus they have all kinds of international coffee drinks. Been makes the best pour over coffees, theyre never bitter. The food selection could be better I guess, but its absolutely nothing to complain about.

Over priced. I got a $5 cold brew that tasted average at best and an $8 breakfast sandwich that tasted like it was frozen and microwaved in the back. Id give the atmosphere 4 stars for cleanliness and service, but the poor food and drink quality that was priced like a premium product was not worth it.

Nice to have something other than Starbucks in the western burbs. Younger crowd hanging out at the coffee bar this morning gives it a lively feel. Coffee was functional and there is a nice changing variety of beans. Plenty of space to spread out the remote office. Overall good

It was a very nice coffee shop and it definitely worth driving for 20 mins. I ordered a banana nut muffin with my latte. The muffin was warmed up without me asking for it and another staff did a latte art for me. Excellent customer service! Will come back often!! ;)

A city-like coffee experience in the suburbs. Metropolis, Intelligentsia, pastries, and a cozy interior with plenty of seating. They also have a patio which makes it feel very suburban downtown. Will definitely be coming here again.

The best café I had in the northwest. Menu includes Express, Cortado and cappuccino served in properly sized china cups. If you are after beans try the Black Cat. Pastries are excellent too
