This is a local gem. I love coffee and dislike Starbucks. I hate how Starbucks killed all the local coffee places. Due to its higher price than Starbucks prices, I believe it can survive only a community like Barrington, but the price you pay for it was so worth the taste of the coffee. I did only drive through, but I can tell that the barista crafted my capuccino, not just whipped it out following the manual. I live in Buffalo Grove, but if I have any excuse to go to Barrington, I always stop by Pepper Park and get a hand crafted espresso drink.

Excellent coffee spot. The staff is as great as others have noted, and they work very well together. They help make it a great experience. The cappuccino was top tier quality and artfully presented. Additionally, its a beautiful space. Seating ranges from your "pretending to work" spots to tables for 4+, there are nice, clean leather chairs and couches as well. Good group area in the back and some games for kids and books for adults.

The only reason Im giving this 2 stars is because the staff was nice. The coffee here is habitually burnt. They offer no light roast coffees and Im not sure if they use the same arabica type beans Starbucks uses but it has a horrid aftertaste very similar to something that has been sitting for hours. If you go here, just dont get coffee.

A good place to go for a coffee drink if youre in the Fox River Grove - Barrington area. The staff was friendly and the coffee was good. Its especially nice and convenient that they are near the Antique and Vintage stores a few blocks away. You can grab a cup and head on over to the stores.

Coffee was great, nice quiet place to host business meetings or catch up with friends. Ill have to update if I get to try the food next time! I had a great experience and have also heard nothing but great things from everyone who has been. The drive thru is an added bonus.

The Seattle blend coffee was quite acidic and took most of the afternoon to finish. The egg sandwiches were tasty and satisfying but a bit dry. The steamers were very good and a good size for the price. I will likely be back to try their espresso.

Wonderful atmosphere - great coffee drinks, the staff are so engaging and lovely. The music is nice. Lots of room - even a conference room you can reserve. Solid WiFi. The food - sandwiches, breakfast fare is good - tasty. Good job, PPC!
