After performing at a concert at the nearby Skokie Theatre, Bounding Main and forty of our closest friends descended upon Curragh in Skokie. The staff was very friendly, friends who ate there before the show said the food was excellent and our late-nite service was prompt and friendly. The facility is intimate and warm. I should point out that the kitchen staff went out of their way to stay open a few minutes longer to prepare a spread of appetisers for our group, for which we were very grateful. The brew selections were very satisfying and the bartender didnt bat an eye when I asked for Harp with an inch of lime juice (you used to be able to request Lager and Lime and people would know what you meant at Anglo/Celtic establishments). Excellent place - we would certainly stop by before or after the next show!

I love Curragh for so many reasons. First off, it is nice to have a place that is comfortable and welcoming. So many places in the neighborhood are dark and the customers and staff are standoffish. This is definitely not the case here. Curragh is a great place to go for a quick bite or a drink, but also is very welcoming to families. My wife and I love the outdoor patio which they keep open all season. This is especially nice when we go out with our two children (now 2 and 4). They have literally been coming to Curragh since they were born, and will continue to go there in the years to come.

A cozy, traditional Irish pub and restaurant, The Curragh has a very friendly staff. They offer boxties, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, etc. and its all good. Their homemade mozzarella sticks are awesome! As is the bread pudding. They have a nice selection of beers including a beer menu that had local beers on it. You can eat inside, which has a bar feel to it, or you can eat on the patio, which has an inside and an outside. The inside patio is open year round, its heated in the winter. Definitely worth the money!

The great Irish/English fare her from Bangers to Curry Fries to Guinness Stew and so much more are all delicious and hearty. The atmosphere and staff are just as good and give the place a feel that is almost homey. The Groupon coupon make this one too good to pass up so do yourself a favor and stop in for some Shepards Pie, Fish and Chips and a burger for the kids!

I wouldnt call the food the most accurate Irish food around but they are a pub after all. The curry of the Curry chicken was a bit watery in the sauce. so I was a bit disappointed. It still tasted good. I notice the sauces in any of the meals tend to be on the runny side. Drinks good. Staff Great. Would recommend. Its got a good vibe.

Ive been there twice and the service is good. Unfortunately, I had the Cobb salad during my last visit and I came down with food poisoning about 9 hours later. I had such severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and nausea that I went to the ER for treatment (cant wait to see the bill). Ill never step foot in this place again.

Used to go many times a week here, staff has turned over, a bit rough on the edges. Last time there will be the last. I got food poisoning from the burger there. Only food I had all day, so kind of sure it happened from their food. The Glenview location is much larger inside and might be a better option

Enjoyed the fish and chips - it was a HUGE portion! Drinks were refilled in a timely manner and the servers were very nice and attentive. There is a nice outside area. Parking seemed to be the only issue with our large group of 10, which the pub handled very well. Would definitely recommend this place!

We love the Curragh, and consider it an extension of our living room, since we live next door to it. Great Guinness (We were told they have the best Guinness in the area because they are so meticulous about cleaning and refrigerating their beer lines). The Cobb Salad is awesome.

Meh! Didnt really spark my plugs! Guy that served us looked like he just got out of prison and acted like it to! Corned beef was dry and barely edible. Dont be fooled! The Curraugh is a theme restaurant owned by Greeks and has a zero Irish pedigree. Who are they fooling?

We loved this place. The fish and chips and the corned beef were both great. The corned beef was the real stand out here. We loved the beer more choices than just Guiness. I love Guiness, but it was nice to have other good choices.

Comfortable outdoor seating, good service, nice selection of draught craft brews, and very good food: corned beef, veggie burger, and a uniquely delicious salmon sandwich w/pesto. Will return if in the vicinity.

Nice outdoor seating area, wait staff is nice but every time weve come, no matter who was bar tending, they seemed bothered by our existence though we came to spend money on food and drink...so we wont be back

We enjoyed a dinner with friends and our group of 4 children. The heated patio was perfect (a bit loud) for all of us. The food was Meh. Lacked much flavor. The beer was delicious and the servers very nice.

Veggie burger with a side of coleslaw. Amazingly delicious. One of the best veggie burgers Ive ever had. Bartender friendly. Crowd is pretty dead, but it is a Sunday evening, so who knows?

A nice place with good food. Background music a little too loud on the patio. Very good corned beef and cabbage. Will make another trip and sit at the bar.

Nothing outstanding about this place, but nothing wrong with it either. Good for watching sports and having a pint if youre in the hood.
