I will start by saying the food is fantastic. That certainly helps when going out for a nice meal and prices starting at high teens ending in high thirties for a plate. Apps are all reasonably priced but my main issue here (again, the food is on point and I recommend going for that alone) is the layout of the space. Its open and thus everyone is on top of each other. The two tops we got assigned to border the bar and have patrons standing on top of you while drinking/waiting at the bar. Combine this w/the last spot and we got the entire traffic flow coming and going from the main point of entry to the front section. It was like eating on a highway...people literally didnt stop coming next to our table for one second. My other issue is the fact that they must have informed the people who distribute water if a glass remains anything but 100% full for more than 10 seconds they are fired. I literally had the same arm cross my plate 100 times...to keep topping my water off. There is a difference between knowing when someone needs water and water boarding their cup. It was not pleasant. I am not usually one to write disparaging remarks but again, when I pay $160 for 2 people I expect to be sat in a room where I am not in traffic, be able to hold some form of conversation w/out yelling and maybe even enjoy my water until its almost done w/out having it quickly filled. Again, the food is excellent and this ambiance is superb, I could take some amazing HDR photos here and make this place look amazing but when you get into the dining aspect of things, I think a couple less tables and a little more room to breathe and speak is what Guildhall needs. Great food but needs work on a couple other things...try a drink there first to get the idea and kudos to Glencoe for stepping up their restaurant game, I would expect to find this place in the city but w/a little less packed commotion.

Definitely overdressed for my birthday dinner here. It is a casual and quaint establishment. Absolutely love the French provincial architecture, especially the wonderful chandelier in the back room. The food was relatively simple – I had the lamb chops and though not too impressed by the chops, the vegetables were cooked excellently. The tarte was good too, although a bit on the dry side – as though it had sat for 15 mins out in the open before arriving at our table. Tried both of the ciders, as a big fan, and definitely prefer the Vander Mill. It was not the least bit busy but I assume it is on the weekend, so I would recommend it for a casual get together on the weekends.

I have to admit that being from the south I expect people to be polite. However, the staff at Guildhall were so snobby (07.29.16) and degrading as we spoke to them I became truely offended. Im not sure if it was our tank top or our country accents but they shewed us away in an instant. We wanted to snag a cocktail before our train to Chicago so we went to the District across the street(Amazing Staff). Do NOT try this establishment!

Well this is a first for Glencoe. Guildhall is a very nice restaurant with great food. The place is surprisingly lively. Seems like its the new place for Glenconians to gather for drinks. You will most certainly need a reservation Thursdsay-Saturday as its quite busy. Absolutely worth a try if you havent been yet.

The service is ok. The mixed drinks are quite good. The food is ok. All of it could use some greater variety in the flavor profiles. But it is nice to have a restaurant with a little atmosphere in town and I am grateful for that!

Probably my favorite restaurant in Glencoe. Their food is fantastic and their drink selection is even better. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation.
