As usual, we have children, teens, and entitled millenials posting negative reviews because the hard-working staff didnt hold their hands or treat them like royalty. This is an Italian deli for cryin out loud - view the menu on the wall, walk up to the counter, and place your order. Its not a French restaurant overlooking the Seine where a maitre d walks you to a table and the waiter presents you with a menu and tells you about the vichyssoise. The quality and taste of the food and cleanliness of the establishment are whats important. I had a sub, my friend had the chicken parm, and we both had soup. Both sandwiches were excellent - fresh ingredients, good portions, and excellent bread. Best sub Ive ever had and my friend said the same about his chix parm. The soup was delicious and clearly homemade with plenty of good-sized diced vegetables and chunks of tender white meat chicken. It was so good I bought a large to go for my girlfriend which earned me big points! All in all a great deli and one I will recommend to all my friends, family, and colleagues.

I am not in the habit of down rating a business, but in this case, Ill make an exception. After reading this, ask yourself "is this the kind of place you want to do business with"? Never having used this deli before, I decided to call to see if they had bulk meatballs for sale, for a Christmas party. The lady that answered told me that the meatballs were $2.10 each, which I thought was a bit expensive. I asked how big they were, or how much do they weigh? She said "hold on a minute". Then a man got on the phone and asked somewhat abruptly, "what do you need"? Again I asked " how big are the meatballs, or how much do they weigh"? The answer was, "pretty big; - - Ill bet they are bigger than yours". I sat there in astonishment for a moment and before I could speak again, he said " Im busy - - dont have time to talk, and "HUNG UP" on me. Even if these were the best meatballs in the world, I sure wouldnt "darken their doorstep." I cant believe anyone could be that crude or rude to a potential customer they didnt know. Guess it takes all kinds !!

Here is the deal, service has never been that great. The food however is fantastic. Today I put an order in for my entire office costing 97 and change. I call to see what the hold up is since it was ordered at 1110 CST and was told it would be ready by 1200 CST. Its now 1245 CST and the food is not ready. The big down side here is we are a small company and I sent one of my workers to pick us up lunch, long story short the owner kept saying what do you want me to do here? Im backed up. Well in that case SIR give me a realistic time to complete 5 sandwhichs. As I finish typing now it is 1258 and the food is still not ready. I asked for any kind of compensation and he hung up the phone on me. I for one will not go back to a restaurant where the owner has no respect for the clients that pay for his home and his bills. I will go to a chain and give him my money before I give him any more business.

I tried to place a carry out order for 1 pizza. Owner puts me on hold for 6 minutes and hangs up. Not to mention you cant understand the guy on the phone. I called back THREE times trying to say id like to place a carry out order; and the most i got back was "we are very busy right now it may be 35 minutes" which was fine. I then waited 5 more minutes only to be hung up on again! I like capris pizza, its not the greatest in palatine but you can obviously tell its a smaller operation. No professional company should be run this understaffed. Not happy, and its a shame because like i said they have decent pizza. Place has potential, but they definitely need work. As for the owner? Ive seen the guy before. Kind of a pretentious slob. I ended up ordering from Vinis in palatine a lot better place. Good luck Capris!

The owner Tony is extremely rude. I went there to order a slice of pizza and when I got to the counter he said "what do you want?" like I was bothering him. From what I saw he treated all the customers the same way except for ones that must be his friends or regulars. The pizza is ok not the best around though. Id rather give my money to Little Ceasars then go back there.

Wish I could give negative feedback, but I am only echoing what others said. Owner was extordinarily rude when I explained I was vegetarian and wanted a suggestion as to which to order...not only was I told "well, probably nothing then." I was met with how annoying it would be to "have to change up everything on it anyways". Okay, I will take my money elsewhere then.

These sandwiches are amazing! I would pay $20 for a sandwich here in a heartbeat. You will not find a better sandwich in all of Illinois. I am ecstatic that I live nearby. Dont give a friend a bite of your sandwich to try because they will eat it all. Staff is friendly and I have not had a bad experience within the last year.

I cant decide what I like the most from Capri! Their sandwiches are always great and the soups are homemade. They bake their own bread. Pizzas are great too! Service can be a bit slow but you cant rush it when everything is made to order.

All I got to say is that the subs are excellent and very filling. A 6 inch filled me up whereas I usually get a footlong at subway. Recently, I finally decided to give the pizza a try and it was really good - very fresh too.

This is my favorite sandwich place in the area. The owner, Anthony, is very friendly and really seems to care about his customers. The pizza and sandwiches here are fantastic. Generous portions, fair prices. Go here!

The only unfortunate thing about this place is that there is only one location. The City of Chicago needs an Italian deli like this. Everything is home made, which makes it very fresh and superb.
