12/17/2016: used to love this place. The second owners really made this a gem. The food was great and the atmosphere was really special for the suburbs. It recently reopened, so I went with the family. It is still a great atmosphere and great place to meet friends. The large windows and street view make it a great night out. It is no longer a place to go for the food, go to enjoy time with friends and family. The food is similar to what is served in every corner dive bar in Chicago to meet the requirements for their liquor license. The food is not expensive, not really cheap either, but the pricing is in keeping with the mixed blue-collar and professional nature of Mt. Prospect. This is no better and no worse than Mrs. Ps across the tracks. Drinks are on the pricey side though. ~2011 The food and service were excellent. This place is a little tucked away, but is a great find. I refuse to eat at a mall or strip mall, and since moving to the suburbs, there does not seem to be a whole lot else. This has a real nice neighborhood feel and the food is excellent. I went with my family, but if I was younger and single, this would be a great date spot. My wife had the best salad I ever tasted, and I really do not consider it food if it was not able to run on its own before being butchered. I had a phenomenal pizza. A lot of thought went into the preparation. This is not a ragu over kraft pasta place. The chef really made tasty dishes that were not overpowered by their weight. Good wine list and the house wines were very good too. I cant wait to go back.

Next best thing to Italia! As soon as I heard of an authentic Napoletana Pizzeria opening in the burbs, I had to check it out. The owners and many workers speak Italian, and have lived in Italy. This probably explains why the food is so phenomenal and authentic! I have been to Canta Napoli over 20 times, and not once was I disappointed. I always order the exact same thing, Margarita D.O.C. and Chianti. I have certainly tried many other items on their menu, but the pizza is always number one. I love this place so much that I actually rented the space for my college graduation party. The service, food and memorable experience I had will keep me coming back for years to come. After having lived abroad in Italy, I can truly say, this is the closest you will come to true Italian food in Illinois.

We visited Canta Napoli last week for the first time. We had a delicious meal. I made a few tweaks to my dish and they were able to accommodate my changes. I tend to be on the picky side! The staff is amazing! Our server, Angie, was wonderful and so kind to our kids. I loved the decor of this restaurant. Our visit was so wonderful that we decided to go back six days later for their Mothers Day brunch. What a great idea that was! Their brunch was absolutely wonderful. They had a wide variety of dishes to please any appetite (pancakes, omelets, eggs, carved ham, salads, meat trays, pasta, risotto, etc)! The endless mimosas and bloody mary bar topped off a great meal. We cant wait to return! I am looking forward to a meal on the patio!

We were the only group there before the dinner rush and first few pizzas came out undercooked, had no bottom dough in the entire center of pizzas and soggy, the margarita pizza tasted like they switched salt seasoning for sugar, was oddly sweet. The next few pizzas came out burnt and crispy. Very inconsistant. The waiter tried to make up for the bad experience which was appreciated. , however overall was very expensive family meal that was less than mediocre. Ive had good experiences here before so I was very disappointed and am hesitant to come back.

A busboy spilled soup all over me that a couple at the next table was returning because it was cold. He dabbed my leather jacket but never offered to clean my sweater. Poor service from the waitress. We ordered an appetizer and she didnt tell us it was unavailable until a half hour later. It took one hour for us to receive our dinner. Mine was good but my wife felt sick shortly after we left and became very sick at home two hours later. Food poisioning? Needless to say, we will never go back. Not recommended!

My family ate here on 11/19/2016. My chicken parmesan was terrible. Chicken was extremely dry and tasted old, breaded crust was burned. Noodles and spicey sauce were fine. Wife ordered the parmesan buttered noodles. It cost $14 and was literally a cold bowl of spaghetti with a dusting of parmesan. Was outrageously overpriced. Should have been $4 and not worthy of the entre price. Bread was good and probably the only good thing. Would recommend avoiding this place.

This is our first time here... We were looking for Napels-style pizza and googled and found this place and decided to try it. The pizza did not disappoint...the traditional Margarita pizza was delicious! We started with the appetizer of meatballs (Yummo!) And a beet Salad (very tasty and the balsamic dressing was great) we then shared the pizza and the pappardelle ragu pasta... We will definitely be back! The wine selection was great as well!

My family and I have been going there every week or two for the last year. The food is great, folks working there are nice, and its a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Sometimes, when our favorite dish is not on the menu, they will take the time to prepare it anyway.

Great place for dinner or just appetizers and drinks at the bar. New Owners are an asset to the area. Great food!
