I was very impressed with this place First, we had great service. The hostess who sat us was fantastic, as was the whole staff. Next, the salsa that came before the meal was amazing. It was thick and flavorful. Lots of salsas at these types of restaurants are thin and watery, but not the case here! And the chips were pretty decent. The chips did not taste like they are made in-house, but they are thick and light on the salt. Before our meal, we also had soup and cheese, which were both excellent. Now to the meal: The corn tortillas that came with my meal did indeed taste homemade in-house. And they were generous; I got 6 with my meal. It was towards the end of the night, so maybe they were just trying to get rid of some tortillas. Regardless, the generous amount of corn tortillas was much enjoyed by me and everyone at my table. Overall, it is a nice to see an ethnic restaurant doing so well in Manhattan, IL. In town lacking diversity and dining in general, Agave Azul helps break the mold. This place is definitely worth checking out, and like most Ive talked to in town, youll be hooked.

Excellent food.From chicken, to steak, to pork, or go veggie- one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Try a mango margarita- very refreshing! Meal starts with chips and salsa- very good, though Ive had better, homemade chips elsewhere. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable during the day and during more busier times as well.

If you live in Manhattan, eat at Agave Azul. If youre driving through, eat at Agave Azul. Great menu. My favorite is the Mar Y Tierra, along with their Margarita. Guacamole has great flavor and texture. Owner and family are always welcoming, restaurant is clean.
