How can a country kitchen not have biscuits and gravy? I got the bacon waffle and asked for it on the well-done side. It came up a little mushy with not very much bacon inside and only one piece of bacon on top. Friend suggested they real Kernal Corn pancakes, but Im not a huge fan of corn and my waitress said that would be the last thing shed get on the menu. I dont feel an urge to make this a destination again in the future.

Have been going here for 30 plus years and this is a staple in Highland Park, has been for as long as I can remember, quality and service has always been above and beyond. They cater to regulars so they will do thing anyway you want, the omelettes are huge, pancakes delicious, with great sandwiches and salads at lunch as well. They keep up with the times and pour a great cup of diner coffee.

They have the most amazing grilled turkey that I always get as opposed to bacon. The place has been run by Peter for decades and its amazing. I love eating here when I get the chance. I highly recommend coming here for a nice breakfast on the weekend. Great spot.
