Great location! Bad management. Decor is nice family style. Food is 2 to 3 star. Taste is good, but not better quality than the local casual pizza restaurants. Bar is the key of the place, with a very nice bartender and I dont even drink more than a glass of wine! The management and owner dont have it together. I live only two blocks from the restaurant, and went there for dinner with my 12 year old and was told "Sorry reservations only" at 5:00 PM on a Sunday! The restaurant was less than half full. I proceeded to the bar and ate dinner with my child at the bar while I watched them seat others that came in. I left at 6:30 PM and the restaurant was still less than half full! Since they are obviously hurting for business, I am perplexed at why they would turn away a potential regular customer. Id choose Bravo over this place any day because at least the management at Bravo is top of the line and make everyone feel welcome.

My husband is so critical of everything and all restaurants are OK, EXCEPT for GUSTOS its great, we can get the best broiled White Fish or Salmon tops and great Italian food so far everything weve tried is excellent. I am looking forward to trying the roasted Chicken next week. WE are always proud to bring friends and clients to GUSTOS. ANDREW is the owner who is on the job making sure everything is perfect and all customers are satisfied, and he has the best sense of humor. We spent our Christmas Eve there and it worked out wonderfully the food was all excellent and hot. The Wait Staff couldnt be more accommodating and eager to please. We went on a Saturday night. The place had maybe 3 other tables filled. The bread was amazing and salad was good, but food was iffy at best. It came out way too quickly, making me think none of it was made fresh. The pasta sauce tasted like it was from a can, and I wouldnt doubt if the ravioli was also from a can. The food was also not hot; it was warm at best. Didnt even bother venturing into the dessert there in fear of what we might find. The whole time we ate the owner or manager was sitting at the bar with some obnoxious guy screaming to each other about the a/c unit. Just not my idea of a good dinner. Overall, I have to say that I dont think I will be going back here anytime soon.

Our family had a Baptism Banquet at the Gusto Italiano Restaurant just yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing! It was truly the best meal I have ever eaten and my mother-in-law is Italian! (Sorry mom!) The service was outstanding. Our every need was met. We were treated with extreme respect and consideration by the entire staff. I thank the restaurant and their entire staff for making our celebration perfect in every way.

Awesome old school Italian food in Glenview! Fairly priced with a great little bar, good cocktails and Cubs games on the flat screen. The Italian food is excellent at this restaurant. Good pizza at lunch, a spectacular house salad. My favorites are the grilled octopus, linguini with clams and white wine sauce, the eggplant parmesan and the baked mostaccioli. I will definitely be back. Thanks!

Im a big fan of eggplant pasta dishes, and I have to report that Gustos Eggplant Rollatini is the best eggplant pasta dish Ive ever enjoyed. Gusto feels like a real restaurant with real patrons - just good folk. Andrew the owner is always so welcoming and the staff is friendly. The food, service and prices are all right where I like them to be.

Great italian food! Favorites are penne with vodka sauce, lasagna, chicken vesuvio. The salads are huge and have ton of ingredients.. I wish I could have samples of everything on the menu there are so many good choices
