Took our kidlet to the zoo and wanted to find a good spot to try for lunch after. Fatduck has been on my wifes radar for awhile now do we decided to take the plunge and give it a shot. Having been outside all day we opted to continue the trend and sit in their patio section. After a brief stint of the waitress trying to seat 5 of us and a baby at a table for 4 we got settled in and ordered. Drinks were delivered quickly and the refills kept on coming (which is what keeps me happy at a restaurant.) We tried out the duck confit quesadillas for an appetizer that everyone loved. Followed that up with a burger that would have been perfect if the pretzel bun had been heated up (why serve such a great bun cold??) with a side of the Duckfat fries. The burger was seasoned perfectly and the cheese and onions on it were perfect. Theres a reason people rave about the duckfat fries here. They really are amazing and the sauces are the perfect compliment for them. Aside from the near seating snafu and the pretzel bun there were no complaints. The food was awesome, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. If Fatduck was closer itd be an easy go to spot for food, drinks, and hanging out with friends.

When I first moved to the near west burbs, I was amazed at the number of people who told me Madison St was the place to be. My Forest Park experience was limited to that shady Wal-Mart on Roosevelt and so I was a tad hesitant to ever take their advice. One day, I bit the bullet and went to FatDuck for dinner and some Monday Night Football. We got there around six and the place was nearly empty. Outside of us, there were maybe two other tables. I ordered a margarita flatbread and the boyfriend had ribs. He loved the ribs. The flatbread was very good. It was a bit garlicky so be prepared for that. The most amazing part of the experience came with our dessert. That night their dessert special was homemade donuts. It was six little donuts hot out of the fryer covered with powdered sugar, hot caramel, and hot chocolate syrup. These warm little delicacies were absolutely delicious! The service was absolutely fantastic. They have a pretty exhaustive menu but our server was happy to provide us recommendations throughout the evening. Tip: There isnt parking dedicated for Fatduck. Try parking on Madison or a nearby street.

Comfortable clean relaxed atmosphere. All legal ages comfortable... but most in the 20s/30s Nice place to watch the game on their great screens that feel like they are everywhere. Allowing for not a bad seat in the bar, the Samsung screens are angled slightly down to provide an even better viewing experience. Yep.. like bar game viewing done right. Food? Only tried the duck fat fries... but the were great. Good portion, nice presentation.. for fries, of course : ). Service from Jamie was excellent and friendly. Will return... havent yet even tried out the outdoor beer garden... it was packed on a Thursday.

Religious experience! Get out of job late and Googled a nearby place and I came out coming here. Why I didnt before? I ate a duck fat burger with a side of duck fat fries and a marzen beer(Founders). Everything was gooood. Starting with the service and ending up with the tasteful burger and fries. I cant stop eating those fries. Finally I found a worthy challenger to Kuma Burger. Kuma watch out!

Stopped by last night after riot fest 9/17/16. Was able to get a seat at the bar pretty easily on a saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised at how decent the prices were for how clean and upscale of a place. Had the sausage flatbread pizza which was delicious. The music was a lot of 90s rock which i loved and the staff were very friendly. Ill take that anytime. Definitely recommend!

We tried several appetizers that were really great. They ahd a great beer list and lots of seasonal selections. Moreover, the patio was great. We sat out there for a long time on a cool night, and had a blast. It is definitely the best patio/outdoor space in Forest Park. I highly recommend stopping by for a cool drink, and an appetizer or meal.

Great atmosphere, really enjoyable food, crystal clear HD big screens, attentive staff, and the best beer garden / outdoor seating in all of Forest Park or Oak Park. I also did a little intern work for school in their kitchen, and I can tell you from first hand experience that their kitchen is *immaculate*. I highly recommend this place.

friendly staff...really great food...loved the fries i ordered plus the fish tacos!! has two floors to this space which is deceiving because it looks so small...second floor is on the patio area -- has a enclosed area for the wintertime with little white christmas lights to put some sparkle to the area.

My accountant and I took a lunch break and went to this great place. The truffle/parmesan fries were fantastic. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was really good. Service was friendly and quite quick. Not 5 stars because Ive had better pulled pork, but this wasnt anything to sneeze at!

I came in expecting to be blown away by the DuckFat fries and they were good but nothing special if you ask me. I had a cocktail from the menu that was pretty meh but I think for a casual bar experience, this place will do just fine.

My friend and I only went for a drink but it was a nice atmosphere, the prices were good, and the food smelled so good that were going back on Friday to eat. Also the bartender was really nice and pretty attractive lol.

I just want to say that it got a little noisy, but the food was delicious! Try the duck quesadilla...they sound disgusting, but oh my goodness they were delightful! I will be revisiting in the future :)

Cannot say anything bad about this place. I live and Oak Park and every time someone asks for a good spot for drinks and food this place always is at the top of the list. Laura is an amazing waitress!

Worst phucking service. I go and sit down, the bartender knows Im here. After 15min, and no one takes my order, I walked out. It happened to be 10:45pm on a Weds night. Only a few ppl were there.

FatDuck is consistently delicious, normally get the French onion soup and a pot roast nacho. Maybe it had more old fashioned charm when it was Horans Snug, but the beer garden makes up for it.

A great place, even if youre not a drinker. The second room is quiet enough for conversation. I highly recommend not just the duck fat fries (of course) but also the chili and the fish tacos.

Very rude staff! I mean rude as hell... Food was dry and my water glass was filthy. So I didnt leave a tip, was talked about like a dog because I didnt do so. Will never go back.

This place has good food and is a fun place to hang out. There are a few bar games in there and a very large outdoor area for the nicer weather. The fries are fried in duck fat.
