NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. Very forgetful short staff. Only two servers on staff, taking way too long to do just about everything. Coffee ended up being cold while waiting for the cream for about 15 minutes. Never checked on us to see how the food was. Couldnt even clear table for 20 minutes after we were obviously done eating. Literally one hour and 45 minutes later we finally got a refill of water. This place wins the worst service award so far. Weve been here two hours now and still waiting for the desert, which Im wondering why at this point that we even ordered....

I was super excited to try this restaurant after returning to the states from Paris France. My expectations were met! Now is youre used to American waiters who pester you the moment youve taken a sip from your water and expect that kind of service this is not the place for you. My wife and I went on a week night and had a wonderful time. The wait staff was knowledgable and friendly. There was only 1 waiter despite the restaurant being full. The food was great and the prix fis was amazing. If you want an authentic European dining experience go here!

When this restaurant opened a couple of years ago, the food was delicious and service was impeccable. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I recently went back despite reading several cautionary bad reviews, figuring it cant be THAT bad, right? Yes. Yes it could be. My coq au vin crepe tasted rancid and looked slimy, a far cry from the one I had years ago. I tasted my boyfriends vegetarian crepe and was not impressed either. I couldnt finish my food and didnt even take my leftovers home (this was a first - I hate unnecessary waste).

Food was simply mediocre. From a place that has creperie in the title, I was expecting good crepes. I ordered a dessert crepe with mascarpone, blueberries, and stawberries. None of the fruit was fresh; it all tasted like it had been previously frozen. The blueberries were especially terrible. They tasted mealy, fermented, and had a texture similar to tissue paper. The person I was with ordered the quiche and it was also not fresh. The cheese was chewy and the crust was soggy. Overall, I was disappointed with our experience.

I absolutely love lunches and dinners at Creperie Saint Germain. I start off with a cup of their French Onion Soup without question, it is the best french onion soup Ive ever eaten. Next is the Puriste, a simple savory crepe with ham and cheese, and while Ive had it suggested that you eat it with a fried egg, Ive never eaten it that way. Get a glass of hard cider and a side of french fries, and top it off with the chocolate dessert crepe. Or maybe the Nutella. Or the apple. You really cant go wrong.

The food was delicious, but very frustrating, slow service. The waiter didnt seem able to do more than one thing at once, and he didnt seem to care. It took us a while to get menus from him; it took us a while to get our food; it took awhile to have the plates cleared; and so on. We seemed very low priority to him, and he made our party about 20 minutes later than we should have been. The crepes are pretty good, but go expecting to wait awhile.

This should be a great place. Terrific menu items at good prices. However, the one time I ate here things were just a bit off the mark. My father and I both had the onion soup. The soup was good, but my bowl of soup contained barely any melted cheese and few croutons. My fathers cup of soup was only half full. Everything else seemed to follow this pattern. Good but not great. Seemed to be short of several items.

Its one of my favourite brunch place in Evanston. The regular american portion of food in most restaurants are abit excessive for me so it was very refreshing to find such wonderful normal portions here. Their fries is to die for. I have not tasted a crepe I did not like here. And they are always so friendly and wait staff are wonderful with my toddler. Definitely a place I miss alot since moving away.

Excellent french crepe restaurant. Its nice to see a place that serves savory crepes in addition to the more common sweet dessert crepes. The amish chicken crepe is delicious. And pretty much any dessert crepe will satisfy. I have tried a few and have yet to be disappointed. I was even more excited to learn that they deliver to my neighborhood! So even if you cant make it, they can be found on grubhub.

Wonderful food, portions are just right - definitely not too small and not as large as some oversized brunch places. Service is totally fine - for those who think its bad, dont be surprised that other cultures have different social expectations!

The food here is delicious and inexpensive. Great service too, though if youre in a rush this isnt the best place. All the main courses are served in crepes, and everything is delicious. I especially recommend the macaroni and cheese.

Dont believe the hours posted on their front door, on Google Maps, or on Yelp. Nothing screams poor customer service like telling a customer that youre closed more than a half hour earlier than your posted hours.

Went there today for Mothers Day and we will never be back! Waiter made several mistakes with our order. The food wasnt good, the owner was rude. If I could give it zero stars, I would! Helen & Mike Tobin

This place was great! Four of us celebrating a birthday were well taken care of by our server. We had a special dietary concern that was looked after no problem. The food was fresh, and tasted amazing.

Great food! I had a croque champignon with mushrooms and mornay, and it was huge and amazing! It takes a while to get the food, but its worth the wait. Staff was friendly, and its a very cozy place!

omg its just like a typical Parisian bistro, with typical fare, even Badoit! And the French fries are exquisite, delicate little batonettes. And the cheese! :-) My new favorite restaurant!

I thought the food was great, maybe a tad over salted. The desert crêpes were the best part, dont skip them! And the coffee and wine were great too! Go on Wed for half price bottles

Always love coming here. Crepes are really delicious. Cozy ambience on a nice street. Restaurant did a good job of creating a Parisian atmosphere. Service is variable but polite.

Cute little establishment it is. I like the food. Service is a little slow but that doesnt annoy you much because finally the food is right. I like the decor of the place.

The tables were super sticky during a non-busy hour. The French onion soup was top notch. However the savory crepes left a little to be desired.

Simply incredible crepes. Blueberry chocolate was my favorite. Strawberry chocolate mousse was close second. Best food Ive had since Paris.
