Maybe they should change their email signature to "The Rude Folks at Piece of Cake Bakery." Rude, Rude, Rude! Their customer service is terrible. I emailed to inquire about pricing for a regular sheet cake (we had ordered several cakes from this bakery before). After not hearing anything for over 2 weeks I got an email from "The Friendly Folks at Piece A Cake Bakery" asking for a contact phone number. I responded indicating that I had ordered through another bakery due to their lack of response....I immediately received a response indicating that they requested a phone number from me several times and that they were closed for a week due to vacations. I never received any emails from them....and my phone number was listed in my original email. Excuses...Excuses...Excuses. I told them to check their sent email box because I never received anything. Never heard from them again. No apology...no interest in saving an order...nothing. I guess they dont need my business.

I asked Piece-A-Cake Bakery to make a cake for my sons Eagle Scout Court of Honor. I wanted the cake to be decorated with a sash depicting the merit badges my son had earned. The bakers and decorators at the bakery worked with me to make sure they got it right, down to calling me and going over which badges were Eagle required to make sure they were on the sash, since not all of his badges would fit on the cake. Everyone raved over the decoration, and the taste! We had gone with a spice cake since my son doesnt like the standard chocolate or yellow cake. I was afraid that our guests might not enjoy it but there were no leftovers -- it was wonderfully moist and flavorful.

Piece-A-Cake Bakery recreated a mini-version of my wedding cake for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. I got tears in my eyes when I opened the box. It was beautiful. I think more beautiful than the original, since one has a tendency to forget the details of their wedding day. Especially, 50 years ago! My sincere thanks to the entire bakery staff for helping make our day more memorable than words can express. The white cake was perfection. The buttercream frosting delicious. The decorating inspired. I cant say enough for the skill at this wonderful bakery. Everyone raved about the cake. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We had piece a cake make a cake for our daughters wedding... As in the past... It was excellent. The cake was very moist ( even a couple of days later) and the frosting was great without being too sweet.... They even made a special " father of the bride" side cake in chocolate. They worked very well with us on designing the cake with candy " sea glass" which is something the newly married couple collects ( real but candy..:)) Highly recommended

Piece-A-Cake Bakery is the best place to get a cake in the Northwest Suburbs. We got our first cake there 14 years ago when my daughter was born. They make spectacular designs and can coordinate colors with your theme or from a napkin or invitation. Their cake designs have evolved with the times, too, because now they have many more beautiful designs to choose from. Dont mess with any other bakery, just go to Piece-A-Cake.

Wonderful bakery, the staff is always friendly. I asked if they sold cream puffs and the lady made them as special order for me. The cream puffs were great. They also sell other items that are all delicious!

Love their danish pastries, you can taste the love that goes into it. Bread is nice and flaky and its the perfect amount of sweetness, its not overpowering. Goes perfect with coffee in the morning.
