Went to Riverside Pub for the first time on Friday evening with my girlfriend. I was born and raised in Crystal lake. So the area, people, expectations are all something Im familiar with. At first glance from that out side, it doesnt look like much. Once you take a step inside it all changes. A smaller dinning room with a neighborhood feel to it. VERY CLEAN! We also make it point to check out little "dive" bars. Since we like the atmosphere most of the time. This one takes the cake. Its Well kept, and food it above expectations. We used to go to other bars along the river. This will be our new place to go on Friday to grab some food and a drink. We both got the Roast Beef which was on special for $5. Quantity wasnt something that was skipped with them! They LOADED up the plate with one of the best huge beefs Ive ever had! Sides were also in full! This place has a good feel to it with great prices. Average to low for beer and mixed drink pricing. In my opinion, if they had the space, this place would trump local competitors. If they implemented that style of management into a larger place you wouldnt be able to get in because of the traffic. Im happy I tried it out, and will absolutely be back! Well done Riverside Pub!

Nice little place and a pretty decent atmosphere. First time there was taco Tuesday. Cant go wrong with that and a couple coronas. Couple biker dudes were in there and they seemed pleasant and down-to-earth. Good mixture of people and a great time with friends.

Been there many times last year.....great people ....great bartenders .....and I have had breakfast and dinner there several times and the food was great....bar food usually sucks lol NOT at the RIVERSIDE!!! GO check it out
