The sauces that they use are great. Tried two dishes the Sesame and sweet and sour. That being said the chicken that was in both dishes was really over cooked and tough. A few peices were kind of tough to bit into and really dry. My guess is they had been sitting and just recooked to warm up. But they were originally over cooked to start with only making the situation worse. Their prices are kindof on the expensive side for the quality of meat (dinner). The rice was also not fresh! Was like it had been sitting in the rice cooker for about an hour ... we were the only customers eating at the place ... cook fresh rice its fairly inexpensive and really makes the difference. The smoothies ... The fruit was great in it and didnt taste like their was any weird syrups or mystery powder. I did get it with the little black gummy balls and they used a lot. Would prefer about half to 1/3 as many. They do make a nice palette cleanser per say but way too many as every drink i was getting at least 3. Id prefer to have some drinks were I didnt get any which was a challenge. In closing. Watch out for the chicken. If its dry and over cooked ask for new! Many Asian places over cook their chicken ive noticed for some reason. Sauces and veggies were of great quality.

I love this place! I used to live right down the street on Clark and Surf – and my best friend and I would try out all sorts of different places to eat in the area all the time. Yummy Yummy is one of our all-time favorites! While I moved out of the area for work and family reasons, I still make it a point to visit Chicago at least 5-10 times each year and make sure to visit Yummy Yummy on every visit. Through the years I have tried almost everything on the menu – but my favorite is their General Tao’s and Thai Iced Tea with Boba. I’m not vegan, but I have had their soy gluten options and they are just as delicious (actually I typically order the soy gluten now each time I go with a Thai Iced Tea – and the lady always warns me that there is dairy in the Thai Iced Tea and makes sure that it is okay). Amazing food and staff! I only wish I still lived down the street and I wish they had a reward program after you spend a $100 or so to get a free entrée. Love it!!

This is a nice hole-in-the-wall kind of place for Asian food. I had the thick beef noodles and the kung pao chicken. Both were surprisingly good, as I honestly wasnt expecting too much from thus place when I first walked in. The portions are fairly generous and the dishes were not too sweet, neither were they too oily or salty. I would say that they got the flavor and texture pretty close to being authentic. This place is small and because of that, it gets noisy really quickly. When you have a group of 8 sitting across from you, or when someone orders a bubble tea and the mixer goes ballistic. Once these two incidents occur, youre going to get a splitting headache. I knew I had to get out of there and finish my food at home. That kinda marred my dining experience s maybe the next time, Ill do takeout instead.

I got "Medley on the River". Very tasty, no stinginess with the brown rice and sauce with the fried bean pieces. The only hiccup I have with this place is that one of the chefs does not like to cook the egg menyone (excuse my spelling) because it is "very hard to make". If he makes it, he always expects a tip. Why would you put something on the menu if you do not like making it? Other than that, there are not that many vegetarian Chinese restaurants in Chicago and this one was reasonably priced and finger-licking good at the same time!

When driving to the store I looked over and saw this beautifully tucked restaurant. There were a few people outside and i side so we decided to give it a shot. Ordering is easy and its like most Mexican joints. I dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. At the recommendation of the cashier, I got the green chili pork super burrito. I was not disappointed. It was ginormous and delicious. They also has a chips and salsa bar. The salsas were all tasty. The burrito was huge, great and of course Ill be back.

We go here frequently for the amazing food and prompt service. The place is set more for a quick dine or take out rather than a fancy dinner, but the food rivals any other chinese place I have been to. Especially attractive was the plethora of vegetarian options, our favorite being Mapo Tofu. Defineitely recommended for anyone in Lincoln Park/Lakeview.

The best Chinese Ive had in the city. I love that I can ask for anything to be made spicy and the portions are huge. I always order carry out and it is consistently ready within 15 minutes. Their egg rolls, egg drop soup & beef teriyaki are incredible! Absolutely love this place!

Fast Delicious and Cheap! Cant get enough of the egg rolls! The smoothies are so thick and tasty with fresh fruit made in front of you (not watery or icy just pure smoothie) I also had beef chow fun l, teriyaki chicken, and pot stickers so yummy! Will go again and again!

Half way through my meal a cockroach the size of my thumb crawled across the floor. The waitress by me saw it, quickly stepped on it smearing its blood on the floor and then continued taking the other tables orders. stomach issues that night due to their food? probably.

Vegetarian red curry did not taste great at all. Bad sauce, strange gluten tofu. Veggie egg roll may have been frozen and served. I was also given soup with chicken broth, which is not vegetarian. This place is cheap but not delicious.

This place is amazing. The vegan menu is great. I highly recommend the mongolian seitan, pan fried tofu with szechwan sauce, and the veggie wonton soup, plus many more hits. The staff/owner is so nice. Small place but so delicious!

I love this place. You have to try Medley on a river. The Decor is awful so get it to go and make a picnic on the lake. This is the best Chinese in Chicago. The Lunch Specials are Awesome! and Cheap!

Pretty good Chinese food compared to the other restaurants in the area but be warned, I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes, yet when I got there I wound up waiting another 40+ minutes.

Theyve got a great selection of smoothies and bubble tea here. Its a little bit more expensive than Im used to but the quality was up to snuff, too, so its not a complaint.
