My main complaint: the place is always dirty. I went a few times to give it a fair shake, but each time is the same: The floors are dirty, the tables and silverware are always sticky, and there are chunks of food from other people on the table where youre about to each (gag.) The workers clothes are dirty as well, with sweat and various liquids/foods having been smeared on them. There is a constant traffic of giant carts with stacks of everybody elses dirty plates being pushed around by an extremely sweaty guy. While I get that thats a part of having a restaurant, I feel like they could make an effort to not have that be part of the customer experience. Oh, and flies and fruit flies flying around you. (If there are bugs on this side of the restaurant, I dont wanna see the kitchen.) So this last time, because of all this, I was grossed out before I even got my food. I ordered Eggs Benedict, which Ive had before at many places. I know that it is meant to be a bit of a soft cook. The yolk will be runny, and the white cooked but soft. This time there was uncooked, translucent egg white shaking on my plate. I tried a bite, thinking I could just eat around it. I tried another bite, but the sight of uncooked egg shaking at me made me gag, and I politely sent it back. We paid our bill and left without eating. Now Im a mix of nauseated and hungry. Im not a fancy 4-star dining chic, but I do require a clean place to eat and food to be cooked through. The whole experience was mediocre at best. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the workers are nice. Not going back to that one.

I have ordered from Yolk, carry out, at least 5 times. Every time I keep hoping that the experience would get better, but it has not. If anything it has been the same if not worse. This last time, there were 4 hostess standing up front. Not one of them had a smile, or greeted anyone with the "hello good morning." This has to be the worst customer service I have ever had period. One of the hostess, whom I found out to be a manager, had her phone out while people were waiting to be seated. She did not smile once, and also had no manners at all. After I paid for my take out, she did not even say thank you. The hostesses will continue to roll their eyes at you if you ask the status of your pick up. Not to mention that this was after waiting 20 minutes to pick up my food and sitting at Yolk for another 10 minutes. The OATMEAL was sitting there waiting to be bagged by someone. The only reason I order from there is strictly convenience, but they will not be receiving my business anymore. Especially after calling and complaining to the manager on the phone, I did not even receive any type of discount or any sympathy for the horrible customer service.

Where do I begin?! First of all Ill state Im visiting from out of town and moving here later on. The second we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile, put our name down for a 40 minute wait. 17 minutes later we were sat at the bar by the GM. We were given complementary French toast to start for how "inconvenient" the wait was. Then a server greeted us with a smile as well even though (on a Sunday) you could tell shes been running on all cylinders since 5am. THEN a manger comes by and asks how we are doing and I have to ask for a band-aid because of a cut on my foot. She happily goes and gets them for me and even gives me extra! Then the GM came back by and asked how we were so far. He got some background on us through conversation and found out we are moving here in a few months. Asked what we were looking for in a place to live and gave us a list of reccomendations. The food was amazing as well! Eggs Benedict with chorizo (south of the boarder eggs bene) and French toast! I highly recommend this place. The customer service was second to none and the food was outstanding as well.

I went to Yolk twice in a week and I think I can hold off from going back anytime soon. It was just okay...nothing spectacular about the food. I liked the open space and high windows. The owner or restaurant manager is extremely and nice. The first time I went, I ordered 2 scrambled eggs which came with pancakes and red potatoes. Nothing really jumped out at me. Everything tasted somewhat bland. The portions are huge however and I was not able to finish my food. The second time, I ordered the Eggs Florentine which came with fresh fruit and red potatoes. Again, way too much food (which isnt a bad thing) so I couldnt finish it. I was flavored out by the hollandaise sauce they used. The fresh fruits were probably the best thing I had there. My friends ordered the oatmeal and crepe and they both enjoyed their food. So I wont give up on Yolk just yet. Ill have to try one of their crepes the next time.

My wife and I came on a Friday morning, did not have to wait, attentive waitress. My wife ordered the works 5 egg omelette which came with pancakes, she added fruit. I ordered oatmeal, with blue berries and pecans. The portions were big, wife said that omelette was good but honestly doubt it that the omelet was made with 5 eggs unless they make them with dove eggs, I tasted the pancakes which to me were just ok. My oatmeal was just a cooked oatmeal, nothing special... I was totally disappointed about their coffee, it was at a gas station quality... watered down, just bad. This was my first time at Yolk, came because a friend recommended it.. If you eat with your eyes, this place is for you (big plates). I definitively will not come back, the price that Yolk charges is not cheap to have mediocre food.Mc Donalds offers the same quality food for a portion of the price.

Food was decent. Didnt totally live up to the hype but it was good. A little pricey. Dont get duped by the offer of latte, cappuccino or specialty coffee...its just regular brew with cream and flavor mixed in and it very hot. Friendly and attentive server. Good, typical cafe environment in fun colors and modern decor. I would have given 3 stars but my teen and pre-teen LOVED it. They had a burger and biscuits and gravy. I had their Madame...turkey, ham and Swiss between thick cut French toast topped with an over-easy egg. UPDATE: As I walked past the open concept kitchen, one of the cooks was resting the cold well that held veggies scrolling or messaging on his cell phone. When I looked back within 30 seconds to see if I could see a manager to mention it to, he had returned to cooking activities without washing his hands.

The food was okay, but it was the service that was TERRIBLE! Two servings of pancakes were hard as rock and clearly burnt. One person in our party had an omelet with asparagus. The asparagus was only the ends and very woody. What in the world happened to the tips? Our waiter asked if everything was okay. When we replied about the burnt pancakes, his response was, "oh, that happens sometimes." Later when paying at the cash register, the employee asked how the food was. When we voiced our complaints, the only response was, "have a nice day." Why bother asking if we liked the food, if you are not even going to respond? You would be better off going to IHOP or Dennys at least you get fresh vegetables, and usually better service. I believe Yolk is a tourist trap, and would recommend people to not go there!
