After yesterday’s experience I was very disappointed. After a very long wait, part of our food was never ordered!!!! After we ordered and received our appetizers, we noticed that the portions are getting smaller and smaller. The grilled octopus was burned. Then, after a long time of waiting, we received our main courses. One of us didn’t receive their order. We thought that maybe the food will be out soon. We were almost done with our food while one person was still hungry because he didn’t receive his order. We looked for assistance from someone, but there was no one around. We came in a group of 8 people. It was Thursday and it was not busy at all. We were the only people inside! We had to call someone from the kitchen to get someone’s attention. The food was never ordered, so we decided we will not order it again, unless the staff decides to compensate us for the long wait, lack of assistance, and forgotten order and this unpleasant situation. The waitress didn’t apologize and didn’t say anything. I was very disappointed. Previously we had a very pleasant experience. The staff was attentive, food was not burned, in fact it was quite delicious. Other time we were there, we talked to the owner; we had amazing food and service. This time, I was very disappointed, especially since this place can be expensive. I want to mention that they do not have an espresso machine, which is shameful! Any good restaurant should have an espresso machine!!!!!

Weve been here twice now, and the second time was so amazing it warranted a review. We started with the Venison Tartare, which was perfect; Doug and I refer to it as "Midwestern Sushi" because its that fresh and delicious. We also got the pommes frites, which Im not sure within what kind of magic theyre deep-fried, but theyre the best weve had. For vegetables, we got the ratatouille and the Waldorf salad, which were subtle and refreshing, respectively. The greens in the salad were both fresh and diverse. The meat dishes were truly the crowning glory of the night. The hanger steak was the most tender, flavorful, and juicy beef weve ever had, and the cheeseburger melted in our mouths. Other reasons to dine here, other than the food, involve the stellar service, the extensive wine list, the calm atmosphere, and the relatively inexpensive price tag. We will definitely return!

We live nearby, and we are excited about all the places popping up on and near Kedzie and Logan. We went in after work, they had just opened for the evening. We are experts on wine, but we wanted some that evening. The mixologist suggested an unusual wine, Orange. It was great, crisp, fruity, but not to sweet, we devoured a carafe along with dates and antipasta. Everything was good, and we enjoyed ourselves. Not really crazy about the couches and lounging around though. People seem to like it, but I prefer not to get to comfortable while I am out drinking. Good place for a group or date night. The service is good, you never feel they are ignoring you are bugging you to death constantly stopping by, it was just right.

What a hidden gem! I got a ride from a friend to meet another friend and we passed by at least three times before we saw the sign demarcating the building, but once inside, I felt instantly at home. So much wine! So much good food! It was a Friday night and I arrived right after work, so the place was empty. But by the time my friend arrived a half hour or so later, the place was becoming crowded and lively banter filled the dining space. Looks small on the outside but its like an optical illusion and theres an upstairs party room for special events. Go to Websters to eat, drink and be merry!

Four stars for the waitress who was kind to us. One star for the mansplaining harasser male employee who followed my lady friend out to where she was calling a Lyft for a friend of mine who needed a way home, and started harassing her for not going with her in the car. Not cool. Do your job, dont cuss at my friends and keep your opinions to yourself. If I ever swore at a customer when I worked in the service industry, I would have been fired. Its completely uncalled for. By the way, just because youre a man doesnt mean you get to tell female strangers what to do.

Come here for the 500+ wine list, stay for the ambiance. When you think of a wine bar, the look and feel of Websters is what everyone has in mind. There are multiple nooks and crannies around the bookshelves and couches for couples and small groups to cozy up to and the upstairs is perfect for larger groups. The wine list is well curated and they highlight a new region or varietal every month. My only complaint is the womens bathroom is a single and commands a line as the night goes on.

What a great wine bar! I love the ambiance, they have a great selection of wines and other spirits, and the service was excellent. Everyone who waited on us was very attentive and offered great suggestions on wines and appetizers. Its a very relaxing and low key place that is welcoming to everyone.

Free chips and salsa! Great atmosphere too! Came here for brunch right when they opened so had so issues getting seated. The huevos rancheros were delicious. Beef tacos were good too but a little small. The mimosas were a bit expensive but a great size and complimented with a slice of grapefruit.

Websters is a great date place with a laid back and cozy ambiance. The service is fantastic and the bartenders are very willing to explain all of their wines and make sound recommendations based on your preferences. Get there early for a good seat as it starts to get crowded after 8.

Ive only ever visited for 2nd Story events in the upstairs of Webster Wine Bar. The food is always changing and always spectacular, and the wine list fits most every budget. Local musicians perform on select Mondays as well, making Webster Wine Bar a great date spot.

Came here for a 2nd Story event with a friend and loved the experience. Quick, friendly staff bring out very tasty dishes. While one is much more likely to come here for the tremendous wine selection, I had a Stiegl Radler grapefruit beer - one delicious brew!

Websters is a wonderful cozy wine bar located on the edges of Lincoln Park. The wine selection is wonderful and the seasonal food is yummy! The portions are a great size and the exposed brick with candle light makes this an extremely cozy winter spot.

Websters is a long time established wine Bar that started on Webster Ave in the early 1990s. I was a frequent customer at the old location. The recent move to a larger location has only made Websters better.

Love how intimate this place is, and yet you can come in with a bigger group and still find seating. Super knowledgeable staff and incredible wine selection. Found a new favorite last time I was there!

Big selection and knowledge staff, and a comfortable space make this a great place to begin enjoying wine. Select craft beers on tap for any non-wine drinkers in the group too.

Awesome cheese plate (can pick some meats too) featuring goat, sheep and cow singles and blends. Served with a crusty bread. PAGES and pages of wines in a leather folio.
