I get it you guys are new, youre still working out a lot of kinks from being a new business and all, but I just have to say we waited 15 minutes for someone to even greet us at the table, eventually we were able to locate a waitress and order after some time. when the food came out it was incredibly disappointing.. especially when you look at the aesthetics of this place I mean this place looks great! they have a great image but the food needs work! let me start with the firewood seafood platter theres nothing firewood about it, it came out cold, kind of bland and incredibly overpriced I think $17 for like three pieces of shrimp three scallops and some clams. Now the bean soup (I dont know what they call it but thats what it is) was served on sort of a oblong oval plate. I would have preferred a bowl and like a ham bone in there for some flavor and tone it down with the fennel. The cornbread... I can make a better batch of cornbread out of a box. Now about the burgers: theyre small, they are square and actually very tastey but the portions size is disappointing theres an over abundance of fries so at the end of the meal youre pretty full on starch. More burger, less fries, and please for the love of the great and powerful Odin please give that burger a real bun! Now the redeeming factor about this place is their beer is absolutely out of this world fantastic! The beers I recommend are the Imperial stout and the milk stout. Their IPA and pale ale are also some pretty heavy contenders. The other positive or negative thing (depending on your situation) is this place at around 6 oclock is like a day care there are so many kids oh my God I couldnt believe it if I wouldve known I wouldve brought my kid with. I guess its good to know this place is kid friendly but I guess its also bad to know that people (like a lot of people) like to bring their kids here and it is like a McDonalds play place in the dining area. The bar happens to be the only safe area from them. 3 stars for the looks and the beer 2 less stars for the food and service. I expected so much better, look forward to visiting this place when it gets better if it gets better.

Great new brewery on the North Side. It is a brewery so lets start with the beer, which is very good across the board. Im an IPA/APA guy and while the IPA (Sentinel) is by far my favorite, the APA is solid and the Kolsch was awesome (especially for a Kolsch). Im generally not a fan of darker beers but the milk stout is also really good. Now on to the food. Although a brewery, unlike many other breweries, OIB has Chef Matthias Merges involved so it is not your everyday bar food. The menu is very diverse so definitely more to try but what I had was impressive - especially the burger and fries! The wings were good too, nice dry rub, but must say I wish they would add buffalo sauce as an option as that would make good wings even better. Finally to the scene / atmosphere. The space is big and certainly feels spacious, but also has some character; you definitely know you are in a brewery though as the tanks are on display for most seats. There are sufficient TVs if you are interested in watching a game, but they dont dominate the scene by any stretch (and when I was there they had music on and not a game feed). But they do have a big projection screen so imagine for big events it would be a cool place to watch if they do put the sound on. Overall a great new local brewery (that really isnt too hard to get to from downtown because it is right off the highway) if you are looking for great beer and some quality food options.

We went on opening night for dinner, so some of the issues can be attributed to that. The good parts: our server Janelle was great, the sriracha deviled eggs were fantastic. Beer and drink selection is quite good. The bad parts: some of the cornbread was still dough and not cooked, the food took over an hour to reach the table. We had ordered three dishes, got two of them. We ordered wings, and overheard a server bring wings to the table next to us, which they hadnt ordered, so he went back and checked, then came back out and gave it to them for free. We eventually got our wings 2 hours after we sat down but had to have them boxed up so we could leave. I felt sorry for our server, we had a bad experience due up no fault of her own. We might come back for drinks, since its close by, but I hope some of the other kinks can get worked out.

Absolutely loved OIB, so much that I have gone twice already, and it has been open less than a week! Food was delicious, liked everything I tried, but my favorites were the deviled eggs (SOOOOO GOOD), prawns, and the burger (So juicy and loved the focaccia bread). Also the berberb sauce that came with the croquettes was awesome, wish I could take a bottle home! As for the drinks... The beer was great! My favorites were The Precinct (Milk Stout), and The Sentinel (IPA). I also tried a few of the cocktails (I am a whiskey girl), both were solid! The Lions Tail drink tasted like bottled Autumn so was perfect for the season, and the Irish Manhattan was delicious and strong! Service was great too! Very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Looking forward to going back again and again!

So beer is damn good, food is tasty as well, what Ive had of it anyway, bartender was great, prices are on the high side to stratospheric. I had what was essentially Navy bean soup (Smoked Ham Hock & White Bean Stew, tabasco, cornbread, maple butter) probably about a cup and a half at $18, thats just silly. The other items only go up from there, and significantly so. I would love to be a regular as its pretty close to my home, but you guys are cashing in, in a major way. I know that sounds harsh, but guys, chicken for $27...pork chops for $29!? EDIT: The fact that all surrounding streets are special permit parking due to the Blue Lines close proximity means you can only park on busy limited Montrose should also probably be a factor in pricing.

Really good brew. Faves right now are the Scentinal and Kolsh. Kolsh is especially unique and tasty. Space is bigger than you may think from the outside with a large bar + additional eating area with a ton of tables. And unlike most breweries, this place has TV screens everywhere to watch the games and never miss a moment. Want to walk around? You can with the extended play area to play some bags while you drink. Really great too for those times where the bar is packed and you need some room to spread out. They also have a full menu so throw in a burger with that brew and its rock & roll man!

Update 1/28: Had to knock down my rating after getting uncooked chicken in my dinner plate. Bartenders were kind of non-existent too. The staff is knowledgeable of their menus and their beers that they brew in house. The food is fantastic and made to order (although a little pricy). I had the steak the 1st night I was there that was cooked perfectly. The pork chop I had the 2nd time I came in was BIG, almost couldnt finish the entire thing. There is space enough for a big group of people as well. I really see big things for them (especially for their beer program).
