I work food service and have managed restaurants for a decade and a half so I see things that others often miss. This place is new and still finding its groove. You can go in like its a beverage shop or like its a small café. The Chai tea is VERY customizable and it is delicious. The food they serve is tasty and a great spin on classic Indian flavors. They need to work on speed of service and product consistency but I believe this has to do with training new hires and gaining them experience (remember, newish place). I would also like to see products come out in better order (drinks and bakery items first, smalls next, then larger plates) or all at the same time. Their food menu is small but in a really good way. There are options for most types of eaters but there are mostly meat-included dishes. This place is great. Go there. Try it. Make this place awesome by giving their green staff the experience they need! You will love it.

I was excited for a new eatery to open on this stretch of Milwaukee, so I was happy to stop in and bring food home for dinner - but I was BLOWN AWAY by how incredibly delicious every item was. The masala fries are addictive, and the savory meat pie was - hands down - the most insanely good food item I (and my boyfriend, he emphatically agreed) have eaten in years. I cannot believe we lucked out with this quality of food so close to us, and at extremely good prices. The owners are warm and friendly, and working very hard to bring more excellent food to the neighborhood. Even the decor is lovely! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE eat here and help this business to thrive in Logan Square!

Really welcome addition to the Logan Square area. Plenty of coffee shops around, including Bowtruss, Intelligentsia, Gaslight, and New Wave...but what do you do if you want something different? Tea is fine but the tea bag options get old. And what if you want some food that ISNT a scone or a piece of pie? Chiya Chai is the solution to all of this, with a variety of hot and iced chais to offer with unique spice blends including Eucalyptus! Really neat stuff in a really neat space. Definitely try the fries as theyre super flavorful and super fluffy. Nice open space for hanging out.

There are so many great things about the place. Im a regular here and I go often because its located next to the Carlson Gracie Worldwide Headquarters, so many of our teammates go there to eat and we all love it. I frequently crave the dumplings. The sauces are delicious. The curry is fantastic. The lassi is unbelievable good. The chicken wings are incredible. This place is also a great place to bring your laptop because its a spacious friendly environment with free WiFi. The servers are excellent and always cheerful. The owner is super nice as well.

Its a bit pricey, but well worth the expense. The cocktails are very thoughtful and creative, and the chai selection is not only good but highly customizable. The menu doesnt really explain the chai ordering process very well, but the staff was very helpful and made ordering easy. The food is on the more expensive end when it comes to sitting in the back room. But ordering cocktails and samosas made a dark, rainy night into a really nice date.

Awesome new Chai place with a variety of great Chais, coffee drinks, lassis, and more. The food is also really good. Its got a good heat with very interesting flavors. Portions are a bit on the small size for the cost, but the quality is definitely there. All of the employees have been consistently nice, helpful, and quick every time Ive gone. Great place to hangout, do some work, chat, wait, whatever. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed their food (Prairie Bison dumplings, Pork Vindaloo, Apple Raita and Paratha). However the womens restroom doesnt have a baby changing table nor did their water faucet work. I told a waitress, but how are customers and workers supposed to wash their hands. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon. I would like to give them another try.

Great staff, friendly knowledgeable baristas, and fantastic chai options! I make it a point to visit every time I find myself in Chicago. Apparently they have a sister location in Uptown in Minneapolis (Namaste Cafe). Go here if you like chai! They also have a really cute restaurant in the back of the cafe, I plan to check that out next time.

Chiya Chai is a great addition to the neighborhood. Service is reliable, although the backroom staff is a bit inexperience. The food is first rate, although repeated requests for a mild spice level have been ignored. My only disappointment has been the spice level. Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area and can handle spicy.

I came here after the german market in daley plaza; one of the owners recomended this place after we bought something at his shop, so we came here during our train ride and didnt regret it! The food is delicious and the dual atmosphere between the front and back gives great variety. Cramt chicken masala is great. High five

I am an Indian food and tea junkie. Extremely pleased that Chiya Chai joined Logan Square. The tea selection is amazing and the food is fresh, expertly prepared and great tasting. The owners and the staff are knowledgeable and very friendly! The decor and seating options are very inviting. Love this place!

Great new spot on Logan Square. Food is delicious and well priced. My favorite is the Chicken Balti savory pie. The curry fries are great with everything too. My only qualm is that there isnt cell phone signal in the dining room, but maybe thats a good thing in this day and age of distractions.

I had lunch here and the flavors were on point, the staff is super friendly and is happy to walk you through all of the mini options. It says the many is compact, but you can definitely have a full meal here easily. They have great super slick and not spicy at all options. Highly recommended!

We LOVE this place. The full restaurant in the back (with a compliment of cocktails) is a wonderful hidden gem. Dont be fooled by the serving bowls - portions are bigger for the price than you would expect. Chiya has become our go-to for Indian food - thanks for coming to Logan Square!

Food was quite good, staff were super friendly and helpful. Portions are a bit small for the price, but you can make it work by getting several plates to share with your group. The Masala Fries are really good - definitely get the extra sauce to go with it. Vegetarian friendly.

Quaint tea house, more of a restaurant than pure coffee house. Tried several of the chai teas, all of which were delicious, and a couple meat pies. Delicious. The owners work as staff there and were very accommodating and friendly. Excellent lunch option in the neighborhood.

The chai I had (fennel) was quite tasty but its on the expensive side and took a long time to be prepared. I wish I had been given a heads up that it takes it may take 10-15 mins to get my drink (the place was empty so wasnt an issue of other orders).

I got hooked onto chai ever since my trip to India. The masala chai and Mumbai cutting tea at Chiya takes me back to India. The cafe menu and back restaurant menu are filled with great food. The samosa chaat appetizer is really tasty.
