Probably the best Thai food in town. You do get very authentic food here and so that is a major plus. The Pad Thai is their signature dish and you get a decent amount of food, also you can get extra noodles for about $1 more. The prices here do seem to keep on rising so, that may affect how willing you are in coming here. An average noodle dish (what theyre most know for) can cost you anywhere from $8-10. They dont always keep track of who ordered what, so getting your particular dish can be a mess if its really crowded. There isnt a lot of seating here so if youre visiting during peak hours, plan on taking it to go.

I suppose the thing I like best about this place is that it is close to where I work, so I go to lunch there nearly every week. Although they have a large Chinese menu for lunch, I stick with the Thai menu. The Thai menu is not large, but I have liked everything I tried. The longer I go there, the hotter the food. I think the owners think "a good customer! Well bless him with the best peppers!" I now ask them to tone it down. Im more of a "medium" when it comes to peppers.

In keeping with the general law that the best food comes from the most unsuspected locations, Ive found this to be the best Thai place in the area. Their pad kee mow is spectacular - not too sweet, just the right amount of spices. Everywhere else Ive tried in town, their dishes are either too salty, too sweet, or otherwise dont have enough variety of flavors. Not so with this place -- and for about 7 or 8 bucks, they will LOAD your plate with food. Highly recommended.

The only downside to Golden Wok is that it is a little further away from the center of campus. I eat a lot of Thai food, and let me tell you - their Thai food items are more or less excellent. If you are planning to try their Som Tum (papaya salad), also ask for "plara" in it, if youre adventurous and going to authenticity. Plara is somewhat of a fermented fish paste, and I love Thai dishes that have plara. Word of warning - it may not be for everyone.

We ate Thai Food (noodles with beef and a stir-fry with garlic) which was pretty good and fresh. Take out waiting time was very short. They have nice weekly specials (6-7$), but charged 1 $ extra for eggplants in the stir-fry. Service was very friendly and helpful. Got fortune cookies with our meals. The venue itself isnt very pretty to dine-in, so take-out is a good option. Good standard Thai cuisine for a quick meal but nothing special.

I ordered food for delivery through the eat-cu website. The food didnt come until 55 mins after the order was placed AND they brought the wrong food. They gave us yellow curry with chicken instead of tofu. I wasnt impressed with the food either. Maybe my expectations are too high... but we paid over $7 for each dish plus the delivery fee and a tip. Thats steep considering a wrap at Zorbas is $3.

Has nice blend of Thai and Chinese dishes available. I usually eat less Thai, but their Pad Thai is awesome. My office mate (who eats a lot of Thai) really likes their Thai dishes. Also, try the egg drop soup- they do a nice variation that includes a lot of vegetables. Parking is a little limited but as they are located off campus, its only an issue at lunchtime. Great value.

Definitely glad we found this place. It really is hidden though, especially with the building going up right next to it. The pad thai, crab rangoon, and Thai tea was great. Cant wait to go back and see how the curry is. Everything is priced very well

I got the sweet and sour chicken and some crab rangoons. The rangoons were terrible. The sweet and sour sauce is ok, and the chicken is mediocre. I really dont think that I will order from here again. Especially for the quality to price ratio.

Their lunch specials are the best value in Champaign. Tons of quality meat, real fried rice (not the fake yellow stuff), and an amazing egg roll. More food than you can eat for under $6 if I am remembering right.

If you want something you can drown in Sriracha, this is a fine place to get it. Prices arent super great but theyre OK. Ive gotten a few different dishes but the pad thai is my favorite.

First time eating here. Best Green Curry I have ever had, literally drinking the broth. Really good egg rolls too. I will be back to try the Haianese chicken rice and Pho.

I live right by golden wok so I have tried it a couple of times. The food is okay. It is a little greasy for my liking, but it is relatively cheap and quick.

Pad Thai is the only thing thats good here. I tried their curry chicken once. It tasted like chicken with water. The price is good tho.

Excellent food, dont be intimidated by its ramshackle hole-in-the-wall appearance, thats a sign of its goodness!
