I love the Abbey.... but, I brought a friend to see the Abbey and the cushions outside ONCE AGAIN were not brought in overnight or considered when rain occurs. It rained and my friend sat on a soaked cushion in the outdoor seating area. This is the second time this has happened...first time it happened to me. It puts a SERIOUS DAMP-er on a visit when you sit on a soaked cushion. You have to rethink your whole day and then figure out how to dry and/or go home to change wet pants. I brought it to their attention the first time, but no one seems to attend to the matter. My friend used the express air hands dryer in the bathroom to dry her pants. PLEASE... can we offer dry cushions or no cushions at all???

This place has good food and coffee, but I was there twice for a few hours to do some work and, it wasnt the noise that bothered me (because I work well in busy atmospheres), but it was the guy who very rudely took my dishes away. I asked for more water and he told me that the girls at the front cashier could get it for me, but they were extremely busy and he was not. I thought that was quite rude. . I even witnessed him not asking but demanding other patrons if they were done with their beverages when they were still nearly full. I gave it another chance and the same thing happened. I tried to go somewhere local, but Id rather go to Bread Co to do my work. I wont be back.

Friendly, warm, and inviting. Good food and hot coffee. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I know about the guy Leslie mentions, and yes, he is a bit stand-offish. Friendly to some people but not me. I overlook him. I have a good rapport with the rest of the crew but there is definitely somewhat of a clique. I create my own enjoyment and find the overall environment comfortable. Ive never been treated negatively but actual table service could use improvement. Not a waiter/waitress model. More help yourself.

The Abbey is a fantastic little gem in the Belleville area for both individuals and groups looking to get away from the mundane and be apart of a creative, nostalgic atmosphere to enjoy delicious coffees, a well-thought through selection of wine, beer, and spirits, and light entrees, including sandwiches, soups, and salads. They have WiFi and weekly evening events for local artists and groups. Love it!

Probably the premier coffee shop in the Metro East area. Positives: above average coffee, spacious tables inside, great patio area outside, full service bar, decent food, small stage for local musicians on Thursday and Friday. Cozy atmosphere with large fireplace. Not any significant cons other than small parking area without egress.

Really cute atmosphere! Went on a first date here, great choice.. Enough seating in the inside or outside around the large fire-pit where they have live music. Really cute ;) Great options for sweets, coffee and great evening ! Great wine selection as well.

Very good drinks and food. The live music on the patio is fun during the warmer months and it is nice to site by the fireplace inside during the winter. Great place to study, read, work, drink coffee, listen to good music, eat good food, and be merry.

This place is ridiculous. Their hours are misleading. Just because they are "open" doesnt mean they are serving food. The one time I was "lucky" enough to eat there, the food was bad. For a place that is easily replaceable, they should try harder.

Great food and environment for lunch but dont go to relax and read a book because it is to noisy.The machines are loud and the beating of something in the back was very loud. Not the place to go for reading. It was even loud with my headphones on.

Love this place! Every coffee I get here is great! The ladies definitely know what they are doing when it comes to making an excellent coffee. Great gelato, sandwiches and soups. Maybe a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This place is amazing. I bought a large cafe latte and blue berry muffin and the total cost was 8.00. Very easy to access and only 5 or so Minutes from Memorial Hosp. Great place to hang out.
