Went to dinner here and ordered fajitas for two. One of our favorites from the menu. On a slow night our dinner arrived smelling awful as if it was on fire! It did not have flames but the veggies and the meat were black and out large skillet smoked up the restaurant. The fajitas were horrible. They had burned badly before they reached the table so the burnt smoky flavor was all through out the fajitas. We asked for extra sourcream trying to mask the flavor because we could not handle it as it was. If we did not have somewhere else to be after dinner we would have requested that it be made again. Anyway, we asked to have the bill reduced, they offered to give us our sour cream for free. We were one of the first customers when this restaurant opened. We have seen the service and the food decline signigicantly in the last year or so. We will not continue to go there hoping for a different outcome. Such a sad outcome for a once great place.

WAITRESSES STEAL CREDIT CARD INFO AT SUWANEE LOCATION A bunch of us go out to lunch and we have all had fraudulent transactions on our credit/debit cards. We have narrowed it down to this restaurant. Most of us are programmers, so we are good at tracking down things that went wrong to find the source of the problem. We all knew its from the same place because all of us who had our credit card information stolen from here have all had illegal transactions coming out of the Tampa, Florida area. If you or anyone else has had illegal transactions on your credit card from the Tampa Bay area in Florida and have eaten at the Monterreys restaurant in Suwanee, please report this to the Suwanee police department. There is already an open investigation with them. You have been warned

I moved near this restaurant recently. I was skeptical about going to a different Mexican Restaurant other than EL Torero. Considering most hadnt lived up to my standards and EL Torero was in Duluth. Very good food and service. I normally get the Fajitas Texanis (Beef, Chicken, Shrimp).I didnt go to EL Torero but once or twice a month and now I come here once or twice every week. Sometimes there is live music eventhough I wish they would play more POP, but its a refreshing place for me and my family to Dine.I would strongly recommend this place and I do. This is a true and accurate account of this business. You have to come to know.

I got there and my to go order was sitting right there where I could see it, I had cash in my hand ready to pay. The guy at the counter said he doesnt process the to go orders. The girl that supposedly does comes by and said either she couldnt do it while he was using the register, or he had to ring it up, I am not sure because she kept seating people. After 5 minutes with my order sitting there getting cold, I left. So they lost that $25 order and my business. We have spent a lit of money there over the years

My previous review was a 5* and I have always gotten decent service, but after my recent trip, I can only give it 2. After waiting for 10 minutes for our drinks and for someone to even acknowledge our existence, we gave our order, which came out wrong, and when i asked the server about it upon receiving the check, she argued with me, despite the menu proving me right without a doubt, and would not adjust the bill. I will not be going back...this was at lunch and they werent even busy....SAD!

I been in different Mexican restaurants but this place is horrible, the service is the worst of the worst.. The waiter was RUDE! Not only did he not introduce himself, he acted like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. He walks up to the table, stares us down, and asks, "what do you want?!" I couldnt believe the unprofessionalism of this guy. Not once did he check on us, offer us refills, or even bring out the complimentary chips and salsa. Horrible place !!..

Yummy. We order their Chicken fajita quesadillas. I have also ordered the Shrimp diablo not sure its on the menu but they know how to make it. They have great grilled fish tacos too. BEST frozen Texas Margaritas around. We try and go at least once a Month. Going tonight as a matter of fact! Oh.. side note. We have tried other locations with the same name and they do not compare to this local. Wish they did.

This has got to be the WORST Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to. The food was horrible and too expensive for the portion size. All I ordered was rice with grilled chicken and cheese on top. $9.79 !!! On top of that, the waitress never refilled my drink and another waitress came by to give my check after sitting there for 7 minutes waiting for someone to check on me. Terrible terrible service AND food!

First time eating here for lunch take out. Was a lot more expensive than I was expecting...3 soft tacos, small queso and small pico de gallo for $15 seems excessive compared to other Mexican places I have been to. Food was just ok. Tacos werent filled with very much meat or anything else for that matter. And the tortillas themselves were very flimsy. Probably wont be going back.

Ill start by saying the food here is great! The fajitas are awesome and the salsa is amazing. The service is where it gets the dings. The last two times weve been weve only seen our server while ordering and when asking for the check. We have been before and had good service but we arent impressed lately. We are going to have to try some other restaurants in the area.

MY BOYFRIEND AND I GO HERE EVERY SUNDAY FOR A BOUT TWO YEARS NOW AND WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD. IF U EVER FOR SOME REASON HAVE A PROBLEM OF ANY KIND THEY ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF IT. THE FOOD IS THE BEST MEXICAN AROUND AND IF U WANNA DRINK AND GET DRUNK FOR CHEAP THIS IS YOUR PLACE.

We had a party of 5 and were seated and served very quickly. The guacamole was extremely fresh and delicious. The ground meat dishes were better than usual Mexican fare. We would definitely return and recommend this Monterey.
