Dined for the first time last Saturday evening. We had the $30/person 3-course meal. On the up side, the food wasnt bad. Tasty and well presented and our waitress was friendly. On the down side, when we first arrive, we saw our waitress come back into the building after a smoke break. She didnt wash her hand before delivering our water to us and smelled like an ashtray, but she was very nice. The food portions were small, but that just seems to be the disappointing trend these days. When the bread pudding came out we discovered that the kitchen had accidentally used mayonnaise instead of the white chocolate drizzle. Not a tasty surprise, but the manager immediately came by to apologize and replaced the dessert. The one KEY thing though that only allows me to give three stars here, is that the restaurant has what could be a fire safety violation at the rear fire exit. The exit is blocked by a curtain and right behind the right side of the curtain, they are storing high chairs. If you had to escape out this exit, it is likely that you could run through the curtain and into these high chairs, knocking them over and causing an even bigger problem.

We stopped to eat here with a party of six on a whim to try something new in the area. My husband and i have eaten at several restaurants along and around Canton Street so when we walked by and someone in our party asked if 1920 worked for us we said "sure". The take away: Live once and plan better next time. Ambience is nice and the wait staff was on par. However, I would not recommend this establishment for the simple reason that the food is extremely over priced based on serving size and environment. The food itself was not terrible, but this is a bar with fine dining prices. Ive eaten at several other establishments in the area and have never had the same sentiment. The food and desserts also looked like they were trying to be passed as gourmet based on descriptions and an attempt at being innovative with ingredients and spices and sauces. To be honest, based on the food, I couldnt get brave enough to try a dessert.

This place has really turned around since new ownership/management took over! We went a couple years ago and didnt love it; but last night whats typically our favorite restaurant right next door was no longer serving food even though it was before closing time, we disappointedly walked to 1920 and asked the hostess and she extremely politely said she wasnt sure but would find out. Two minutes later she chased us down the road to say they absolutely would still serve us! Everyone from the cute host to the attentive server to the awesome manager were so friendly and the food was amazing!!! We have definitely found a new regular spot .. thank you all for nailing whats most important at a restaurant: customer service!

Inside is basically a bar, with some tables in the back. Sparse décor. Outside patio is on the busy downtown Roswell strip and seems nice. Service was okay, though disappeared for long stints. Other waiters stood around and played on their cell phones, hiding from managers in the back room. Cocktails were shockingly stingy pours, and were more like large shots than a full drink. Very expensive for the portion. Food is priced and portioned like fine dining, but not of the quality. Fish had bones in still. I couldnt see this restaurant surviving in any other location, and consider it one of the worst values Ive seen in the area. High cost and low quality seems to be the theme.

My sister and I went there for lunch and had the grilled cheese sandwich ad tomato soup. Both were good but very plain. We also had iced tea and the cost for 2 small glasses of tea-$5.50. Then my sister asked for a pickle so they brought us two pickle spears-not whole pickles- and proceeded to charge $2.00 for them. I understand this is on Canton Street and thus pricy but for what you get the prices are too high and to charge for pickles- which normally come on a sandwich plate -give me a break. The manager was the person that brought the pickles to us and added them to our bill but our waitress, Kim, took them off our bill.. We will not be eating here again.

Had a great lunch here on the weekend not long ago for my wifes birthday. Just the two of us, so service was quick and food came out in pretty good time. Dont let the crowded outdoor patio fool you, lots of room inside as well. I highly recommend the beef short rib sandwich, great suggestion from our server who also had a fair bit of knowledge on the draft beers. A welcome change from the typical "let me ask the bartender". Grilled oysters and the salad with blackened shrimp were great as well. Looking forward to a dinner here soon.

A must try! Absolutely the best service Ive ever experienced. Shelby was our server and she went over and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. As we walked through the restaurant we were greeted by ever associate and felt like family. For a busy Saturday night our food was served within minutes and we were greeed with another amazing face, Jonathan. It was fresh and HOT!!! Will be back really soon for the ambience and great food. Thanks to the staff for their service.

My wifes gumbo was good, if I ever come back to 1920 (which is not happening) id get that fur sure. My "Kobe" burger was not Kobe. For$15 it was a super thin patty that would be impossible to cook rare(which is how I ordered it). Our friends steak was choice at best. She did not care for it. Another friend had the shrimp and grits. It looked OK and he politely said it wasnt bad but left most of it on the plate. For the money, you can do much better. Service was good.

Fantastic dinner, service was amazing and honestly they showed me that they cared about us. Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed. The bartenders were great even though the place was packed, they still delivered the level of service that I wouldnt expect due to the level of volume they were at. Top notch, and we all look forward to going back soon! Thank you 1920 Tavern! Management and owners even checked on us during our time spent there. A+!

My wife and I stopped here to try out something different. The patio in front was comfortable and relaxing, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere nostalgic. But what made the whole experience exceptional was our server Mirela! She was so attentive to us and suggested a goat cheese pound cake for desert that we absolutely loved. The best service we have experienced in a long time. Will def go back again and again!

Never got to try the food. We were "next" for 1 hour despite multiple people being seated. There was a complete lack of empathy and the bar was way over priced. It does not matter how good food could be, when you are treated with total disrespect, it makes you view the tavern with a scornful eye. We were mislead and they were telling people only 30-45. Completely annoyed by the whole experience
