Against my better judgement I was swayed to go to this place because of the FiveStars point rewards app & their offer of $10 off any purchase that I was denied the use of. Today was a celebration for my brother so I thought Id be a good older sibling & take him to dinner. Unfortunately for them, its an experience which has made us decide not to return. Upon greeting the host I asked if I should type my number into their FiveStars computer now or later. He said just do it later, the waiter will ask. We were seated at a booth towards the front. The table top was sticky & the specials placard was splattered with goo. After getting water to drink I cleaned the table for us. I was also given chopsticks with soy sauce on it (see photo). Our waitress was very personable. We ordered 1 appetizer sampler, 1 tuna roll & 1 jumbo spider roll. The appetizer sampler included edamame, pork gyoza, fried scallops & 2 sauces. I thought the scallops tasted like they had been frozen, but the edamame & gyoza were fine. Thinking I was going to be able to use the reward, I wasnt too worried. I really like tuna sushi, so I was a disappointed when my tuna roll came out discolored, but it tasted fine overall. My brother really seemed to like the jumbo spider roll, because he ate it really quickly. Then it came time to pay & I had to use the bathroom, so I gave my brother my card to pay with. Unfortunately when I returned I had forgot to mention the rewards program & my card had already been swiped. So I brought it up to the waitress who said she had to ask the manager. He told me it was too late to use the reward, but I can use it next time. Well, I said, the app says it expires tomorrow & I planned to use it today. Then he asked me to write my name & phone number on the back of a random receipt which he tacked on a wall saying he will remember me & I can use it next time. No, no thanks. I can see why my friends told me not to eat here. Please see Yelp! for photos.

Green Ginger came as a total surprise. I was expecting a Macaroni Grill with some added Asian decor and mediocre food. I found neither. The interior has been redesigned as a sleek, modern experience with Asian elements but an over all sophistication seen nowhere else in PTC. The food was likewise impressive. I went with my husband and in-laws. We all enjoyed our appetizer sampler which included perfectly cooked calamari (with an oddly Tex-mex sauce), wonderful pot stickers, and a basil roll that could have had an extra shrimp. I had the avocado and Fantastic Roll, a spicy roll which lived up to its name. My husband found his Thai Green Curry Chicken a little brothy and under spiced, but he likes his Thai hotter than average. The shrimp fried rice featured generously sized shrimp. Next time, well try some of their specialty cocktails and a dessert, but I can already tell this will be my new favorite place for date nights or dinners with out-of-town guests.

I agree with Keith. My family had an awful experience and the managers would not help!! We had a take-out order with some sushi rolls and dishes. The dishes were wrong, and the sushi was not fresh. We realized all this after driving home and called Green Ginger. The female manager said she could not refund the order without having the card so we had to return--25 min drive. We returned the next night and no managers were there to help us! Finally, several nights later we stopped by and Adam, one of the managers, was there. He was rude! It turns out that Adam packaged my order, and now afterward he would not admit that he could have made a mistake--he said it was impossible for him to have given us the wrong dishes. We were frustrated with the service and Adam said he could not do anything to help. I will never go back!!!

One of the worst dinning experiences that I have had in recent years. The quality of the food was o.k. but not comparable to many Hibachi Grills I have attended. But maybe that was because the Hibachi Chef didnt come to work yesterday, literally. The waiter provided us erroneous information regarding the use of a Groupon resulting in us paying significantly for over charges. The Manager, Mack was useless in addressing the issue. He didnt even introduce himself when he came to the table and failed on every management level to try and resolve the issue. I decided that the service wasnt worthy of a tip, so today 10/23/12 when I checked my account I see that they caged an additional $12 plus to my card. And, when I called about the over charge they put me on hold and then hung up the phone.

I dined at The Green Ginger after dining there three times before, In the last few months. This is the first I tried Double Take Offer for a discount; although, the $20.00 savings appeared to be a good deal, they gave us $20.00 less in food. All of the portion sizes were much smaller than usual, we ordered the same things we normally order and noticed the amounts we received appeared to be along the lines of an appetizer. The total remaining after the certificate was $18.00 and they added a $10.01 gratuity charge to the check. The check was a total $58.00 why was there a $10.01 gratuity charge. I really liked the Green Ginger up until this point. They should not offer a savings if its really not a savings. They lost a loyal customer because of this!

My husband and I came here tonight. The first thing we saw was one of the employees smoking by the front door. Fine, have your cigarette, have your break, but there should be a specific place to take your smoke break away from where customers dont have to walk through a cloud of smoke before dinning. We walked in and walked to the hostess station, where there was NO hostess. Eight employees, within a time span of five to six minutes, walked by and even glanced our way, but we were never spoken to. We walked out and no one seemed to care that they were losing bussiness. My husband went back in to tell someone that their service needs improvement, but couldnt find anyone to speak with except the sushi chefs. RIDICULOUS!

Our group of 12 people went for Happy Hour on Friday. We sat on the patio and everyone had a great time. The food was good for the most part, and the happy hour drinks were also good. Everything was great, until we got our individual bills. We do understand that some establishments automatically add gratuity to groups of 6 or more and we dont have an issue with that. We *do* however, have an issue with being charged 25% for gratuity. Even on their bill slip, they give the automatic percentage amounts and the highest is 22%. All of us, for some reason, were charged 25%. So groups beware...even when they say they are charging you 22 percent, they charge 25.

My dish was ok but not any better than a food court Chinese place. My wifes teriyaki chicken was inedible, tough, dry, may be some left over from the day before. All soups are priced $2 on the menu, yet they charged us extra for the coconut soup with our entree? Waiter service was decent. While the place looks upscale at first glance, the seating and tables are worn, fabric is stained and dirty. While I pads at the table are a nice idea, ours was covered with greasy fingerprints all around. This place has seen its prime time and is heading downhill. There are better and cheaper Asian restaurants in town.
