Pretty "cookie cutter" as Cracker Barrels go. Atmosphere is fine and staff is friendly. My 1 star rating is based solely one one factor......they have eliminated pickles from their operation. You can no longer get pickles for your burger, sandwiches, grilled cheese, salads, etc. NO PICKLES!!! Its a deal breaker for me! I have been going to Cracker Barrel restaurants my entire life and have always enjoyed the consistency of being able to order what I like no matter where I am in the U.S and having it be exactly the same as every other C.B. I always order the grilled cheese sandwich with extra pickles and a bowl of pinto beans, now some corporate jack wagon has decided to increase margins by eliminating pickles from all of the Cracker Barrel Restaurants. I would think reducing the amount of butter they bring to the table or the grits they give away to be a better fiscal decision than eliminating the damn pickles. Sorry Cracker Barrel....you lost me when you lost the pickles.

Cracker Barrel is an old standard for me. Im not the most discriminating diner in the world, so just know that Im an average Southern guy with average tastes. Ive lived in Madison seven years and visited this restaurant many times. I believe this store has been under the same management (at least the kitchen) for a long, long time. Point is, if a stores sales dont measure up, usually management gets replaced. I like the food here. Its always well prepared, always the same. I like the taste of the food. The waiters/waitresses are always extremely pleasant and professional. Ive never had a bad experience. The restrooms are always clean. Check out is always with a smile. And they even have a bunch of toys I can play with if I get bored! Cracker Barrel is what it is. I really like my hometown store!

The food is always good, but our waitress was what made it a great experience. Ms Shae ( not sure I spelled it right) at the Madison location was so sweet and attentive and brought a smile to my face every time she checked in on us. Even came running out to the parking lot when my husband left his phone on the table! Thank you so much!

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and service in the dining area but DO NOT shop in there. It is so offensive for someone to follow you every step. Put up cameras or something but do not follow me like I am a criminal. I enjoy browsing and sometimes I make purchases. But come on. Do it the Walmart way. They catch a LOT of thieves.

As Always Cracker Barrel restaurants are always consistent with good food, reasonable prices. However, this one had extremely slow staff, while we were seated immediately, it was over 15 minutes before our drink orders were taken and longer for our food order. Just very slow service, although the food was good.

Good place to get my veggies in. Daily lunch special is a good price and good portion. We tried the new smore dessert which was delicious and coca cola cake has always been a favorite. Last time I was in, they had 3 tables of merchandise in the store marked down 80% so that was a great ending to my lunch.

Sat for 15 minutes at 11:30. Not very busy, no one came by to get a drink order or even acknowledge that I was there after the hostess seated me. Got up and left, no one said a word, just watched me go. Dont go here unless you have over 15 minutes to wait on a server to even show up.

Cracker Barrel is comfort. You know what you are getting. Consistent menus and consistent service. Family appealing as well. No, it isnt trendsetting. But that is just fine. When you are on a road trip, it provides a welcome so with good food... Especially the breakfast choices.

I was disappointed in the chicken picnic dinner tonight. It was way over done the tomatoes were completely wilted. The chicken was mushy. The waitress was really nice so I didnt say anything. It wasnt her fault. Thats the first time trying that meal but wont order it again

Slow service. Wait staff did not act like they cared. Drink refills took several times after asking and we never got any extra napkins despite asking. Likely will wait a long time before heading back. Sad part is we were there before the rush!

We sat at a table for 45 minutes only to learn our order cannot be found? Doesnt work for those who have a long drive ahead of them. We drive by this place 5/6 times a year. Definitely wont be stopping here again.

Very fast seating, even at lunch hour. Soup and salad seems to be my go-to choice for Cracker Barrel. The Pepper Vinaigrette is really good. Clam chowder soup of the day was delicious.
