We scheduled a bridal shower with Tony at Midland several weeks before the planned date. When my family got there to set up for the shower, they discovered that they had double booked the shop and placed a baby shower in the room we had booked. They said we could use their conference room in the back of the shop, but they did the bare minimum for the rest of the shower. The employees that were there the day of the shower were polite and helped us a little, but we were forgotten shortly after they moved a few tables for us. After the shower, none of the organizers/owners were apologetic in the least for the mix up. We had had an amazing experience with an earlier party and understand that mistakes happen, but the level of apathy after discovering there was a mix up was extremely disappointing. We know now not to use Midland for any future events.

I like this place and go almost every day since it is near work-- BUT you have to watch them make your coffee. Most of the time the staff are so busy chatting with each other that they forget what goes in the drink. This has happened several times- usually just forgetting syrup, which I dont get too ruffled over. Today I ordered a Frozen Espresso with caramel, and got a $5 cup of blended milk. Clearly guy behind the counter was new, so I asked him if he remembered the espresso-- to which he answered "yes" without even looking at my stark white cup of milk. To which I said "...This taste like straight milk..." New guy simply looked at me briefly before turning around to wipe down a counter. Just train your employees to focus on the task of making drinks properly. less chat, more focus.

Love this independently owned shop in downtown Gainesville. A simple (unlimited refills) cup of coffee is amazing. A few times I have gotten the first cup of the day when it opens at 6:30 a.m. and its been lukewarm, but other than those two times, I cant complain. Ive started coming here twice a week for a couple quiet hours of work time right when they open up. Great space for working--plenty of tables and outlets--and scenic too.

All I can say is WOW. The breakfast here is unbelievable. As a helicopter company business owner I go all over Atlanta eating at some of the finest restaurants known in America. This really is the real deal. I tried 4 different things all are outstanding. Bursting with great southern charm, elegance and outstanding customer service. A MUST TRY

Went here the other day with my co-workers for lunch. It was really good for what it is, a little sandwich/coffee shop, the sandwich was great. My issue came with the lack of promptness from the kitchen, there was three of us and we got our sandwiches all 10 minutes apart.

This establishment has an high class air but offers a casual environment for studying or socializing. I always take my family here when they come into town. There is a large table with board games and delicious pastry selection that is always changing.

We finally have a decent, stylist, and relaxing coffee shop, with good food and great service, on the square. I highly recommend this restaurant for many reasons, but especially the atmosphere and spaciousness. Oh, and the Internet works (laughing).

The food here is just a complete disappointment. You walk in and read the menu expecting a great meal but your left just kind feeling blah. In addition if you go here when its busy be prepared to bring some ear plugs as it gets pretty loud.
