Worst Japanese food Ive ever had. My family loves "Japanese " food and we frequent several of the locals. We will not be back to Shogun at Flowery Branch. Sushi was okay, and fried rice was too if you like salt. Glad to have taken my blood pressure meds today. The shrimp and lobster were overcooked to the extreme. The latter was pretty much inedible. The great cover up, the "yummy" sauce was anything but and seemed to be basically pink mayonnaise. I didnt make it to the veggies. The look them turned me off. They pretty much appeared overcooked like the rest and absolutely smothered in the brown "gravy" from the grill. It was all cooked up by a guy who seemed to be ready to go home before he got there and the waitress seemed to forget that we were there. Ive been here in the past a few times and it has progressively gone down hill. If you want generally excellent food of this sort try Kiku in Gainesville. Its slightly more expensive but worth every penny.

I ate at the Shogun located in Flowery Branch last Saturday night. The food tasted good however we came in at the end of the night. We both had the scallop and shrimp hibachi dinner and used the yummy sauce that they served with it. The sauce is made with mayonaise and evidently it had gone bad. Within an hour of eating I had diarrhea. I spent the next 3 hours in the bathroom. My boyfriend had the same problem. We called Sunday to speak to a manger to make them aware of the problem. We had to leave a message and a manager called me on Monday. I explained the problem and she told me that shes never had this problem. She didnt offer anything to make me want to come back and try them again so Im definiely not. Ill go back to eating at Kani House in Buford. Poor customer service!

Waitress was rude after we waited for about 20 minutes(only people there was us) for the cook to come out and make our food. Cook was very unpleasant made it so awkward. Food was salty and cook just look like he hated his life. Waitress never showed up til the end when she handed us our bill. We had a party of 5. Went back to work and realize in top of the $10 tip we gave her she had charged a 18% tip additional. Drove back and waitress couldnt even explain why. FYI you can only charge 18% on a party of 6 or more. Dishonest and horrible customer service. Its sad that they try no sneak charges like this on your receipt. Always check your receipt before payment!!!!! Never coming back again!!

Shogun is Great! At Shogun, my family and I ordered sushi, as well as some steak. The service was great, and the hibachi show was very entertaining! This place is great for kids who enjoy the skillful hibachi cooking! And of course, the food was nothing short from incredible, and so well prepared! This place is definitely a place for people to go and eat out for a birthday, family outing, or just to hang out with friends. Shogun is definitely worth the money!

The restaurant is fairly clean and well lit. however while the sushi is quite good here, the service is.. not as good. We were finished with our meal before our waitress returned to check on us and we were the only patrons in the room att. I admit the music turned me off, as well. My husband and I agreed it was not in keeping with the theme. We will look for other sushi restaurants in the vicinity next time we are passing through. ;)

This hibachi grill rocks! Its certainly not the best Ive been to, but I have to praise it for its consistently good service and the excellent quality of the food. Ive eaten here more times than I could count and I always know that I wont be disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. This would be a good place for a work day lunch or a dinner with friends.

This place is awful! This is the second time we have ordered something as takeout. I ordered filet hibachi, both times they gave me strip steak instead. The first time I let it slide, the second time is ridiculous, I even told the lady when I ordered it the second time of what happened with my first order. NEVER AGAIN! With all the competition out there you would think they wouldnt do something like that.

We eat here frequently and are always pleased with the hibachi dinners. The staff is always courteous and friendly. They actually remember us when we arrive now. Our soup is always hot, food is always prepared perfectly, and we always have enough for leftovers. It gives us lunch the next day! We have never had a bad experience and have been coming here for years. They will always have our business!

Food was okay, however the waitress that served us looked super unhappy to be there and created a very uncomfortable environment. Was rude to another customer around sitting with us at the hibachi area about his allergy. Stopped us as we were leaving and made us tip her. Even though her service was horrible. Never going back.

Patty is the waitress we have had since weve been coming here. And she is hands down the worst waitress Ive ever come across. Rude as can be, makes you repeat your order multiple times (because shes too lazy to write it down), she never smiles or even greets your table. If your not careful, shell add things to your check.

Worst service I have ever had. Waited 20 mins. For water alone. The waitress was not friendly at all. After ordering food and waiting another 20 min and not getting our food. I decided to leave! Terrible service! Not going to pay when I have to wait 40 mins and not receiving any food. I will never go there again!

We used to go here all the time and loved it. Apparently they have a new owner and they no longer give u soup unless u want to pay an upcharge. Then they told my husband that if he didnt like that then we should just never come back. I suggest everyone avoid this place like the plague.

The only reason I have given two stars instead of one is because the food is OK, its not the greatest. The service there is absolutely TERRIBLE, and they have things listed on there menu that they wont make or give to you. I just wouldnt recommend to waste your time or money here.

(Flowery Branch Location) The online menu shows "Chicken Fried Rice" $6.90, When I paid, it was $7.90. I asked them why when I went to pay they said, "Thats the Lawrenceville Menu." How is chicken less expensive as you get farther from the chicken capital of world?!

Today we went for my daughters birthday. The food was good, but they would not honor the $4 meal discount for her birthday and then they tacked on 18% gratuity to our party of four. I wonder how many customers do not realize this and are robbed by this restaurant?

Very typical chain hibachi that offers sushi. Neither are great sushi or hibachi. Service can be good but not always friendly. Atmosphere is dated and could be revitalised.
