Okay this place is amazing. The vibe is kind of weird, they have a bunch of paintings of robots on the walls and they play a lot of 80s music. If youre into Michael Jackson this is a great place for the vibe. The food was absolutely Stellar. They have specialty tacos every day. They had a dragon pork specialty taco and a fried portobello Taco today. I personally got the beef nachos. It was easily enough food for two people and it was absolutely delicious. It had a sweet chili sauce, the meat was tender and marinated, and it had amazing white queso. This place also has options for on tap beer. They have a trivia night on Thursdays and they have taco Tuesdays and half price apps some day of the week. I highly recommend coming here. The food is a Mexican and Korean hybrid, which sounds weird but its completely delicious. You can get your queso fix and your kimchi fix at the same place!

Takorea is an unassuming place in this strip mall in Dunwoody. Weve all been to one of these, looks trendy on the inside, cool decor, but ends up tasting like factory fabricated garbage... But I was pleasantly surprised. Service is casual, unpretentious, and quick. Its truly a great model of what quick service should be, and I enjoyed my experience. Should have those extra condiments on the tables, but I guess Im just a condiment person. Food is delicious. Its definitely honest, good ingredients that you can taste. I would even venture to say it is pretty authentic Korean, served in a Mexican platform. Their fries are inventive and delicious, they are never shy with flavor and spices. They could use some more stuff in their burritos other than kimchi fried rice, meat & kimchi, but overall its pretty decent. Great place for lunch!

I was super excited when my girlfriend recommended this place for lunch because Korean Mexican Fusion is one of my new favorite things! We visited at lunch time on a Tuesday when ch ended up being perfect. Tacos are discounted for Taco Tuesday! I got one beef, one fried chicken and one of the special tacos of the day. The beef was a little too spicy for me. The special was also spicy, but less so. It also had pork belly, which is a fan of. The fried chicken was probably my favorite. It had sweet sauce that really took it to the next level! I also got a side of sesame fries. They had the perfect season and were a large portion. I would definitely visit this place again!

Pros: Tacos are so yummy (the sauces are what make them so good) and the staff is friendly. Cons: Over priced, small portions, long wait, strange taste in water, close early sometimes and turn people away so they can go home early. I would really like to see this place either decrease the price or increase the portions. I can finish a taco in 3 or 4 bites. Also, I was glad to see another person mention the weird taste in the water. I thought it was just me but apparently not. The staff is nice but I was shocked when I arrive one evening to see them turn away two sets of customers who came in to order at 8:40. If you post a closing time you should honor it.

Food is really good but the manager I believe or lady at the register with the glasses is very rude to her employees. A lot of the stuff she does is really unseasonably rude. She acts like shes so busy and really isnt doing that much. Her corrective action needs some serious attention. We come to this restaurant every week and she is like that all of the time to them. Management please train your leaders properly. Running your fingers through your hair then putting ice in my glass is pretty gross and Im sure wearing your hair down isnt up to code. Kitchen staff 2 thumbs up! Always willing to go above and beyond, keep it up. Maybe your leader can learn from you.

Great surprise just OTP! Satellite location from their main restaurant in Midtown, this spot is counter service only with a smaller menu, but the food is still amazing and you cannot go here without getting a basket of their sesame fries! I got the lunch special (2 tacos (pork & sweet/spicy fried chicken), fries and a drink for $8 and everyone else in our party got a sampling of the menu (nachos, quesadilla, burrito, etc.) Everything was delicious and theyve got an impressive draft menu - I got the hoppy balboa, my bro got a shock top, and sister had a southern tier live. Definitely looking forward to going back for seconds!

My fiancé and I went to this location during Tako Tuesday. I got the beef Tako and he got the KFC Tako. We also got the pork dumplings and sesame fries. For a Korean/Mexican fusion I was extremely disappointed in the bland flavor I was greeted with every bite I took. My fiancé was equally disappointed in the flavor of his chicken because it was a prefrozen chicken tender smothered in mayo. And no Korean influence. Just a chicken tender, mayo, and lettuce. The dumplings were over fried, bland, and stuffed only with shredded pork. The only reason Takorea is getting two stars is because the sesame fries were awesome

Takorea has a great variety of flavors in their food, Im always tempted to overeat when I go here. My ideal meal would be the one that the robot mural shows, namely one of every thing on the menu. Usually I limit myself to either the taco combo meal or the bi bim bap. Their spicy pork is my favorite meat on the menu, but all of them are very good. If you get the pork taco and a veggie taco, that is almost the same stuff that you get in the bi bim bap bowl, minus the rice and the egg. Then you can also get the sesame fries, which are excellent.

As a long time regular of Hankook Taquiera, the predecessor to Takorea, the food was exactly what I was expecting, which is to say fantastic. In an unexpected surprise, they allowed dogs on their exterior patio, so I was able to eat there as opposed to getting take out. While I have enjoyed everything I have ever tried, I will say that the fried chicken tacos are perfection in taco form; it is wonderful to see it as a regular menu item as opposed to it popping up at Hankook as a once or twice weekly special.

Ive been there nearly once a week since I discovered it as an alternative to driving all the way to Hankook Taqueria. Big fan of the beef (bulgogi style) takos. The KFC (K for Korean) tako has varied in quality for me, so I now stick to the beef. Sesame fries are good, but nothing really special, and Ive gotten a beef burrito before and had enough left to take home and have a decent lunch the next day. Yea, its more rice than beef, but its spicy and tasty!

Fantastic table service - food is fresh and made to order. The concept is great too - Korean-Mexican fusion creates some great grub. There is only one thing holding this location back. Are you getting takeout? Avoid. It seems like they give you lunchtime leftovers and cram it all in containers so small everything ends up mashed together in the end. A shame too since the food is great but often busy so table service isnt always an option.
