Called a few days ahead to see if they could take a reservation for a very large group of 28. I was quickly answered and was told we had reservations at 5pm for 28 on Saturday. Saturday rolls around and everyone in our group was arriving for the dinner. When I asked about our reservations, I was immediately referred to the General Manager. When I told him the same thing, he looked at me if I were crazy and told me they do not take reservations on football Saturdays. I did not care if that was their policy since I had already been told I had reservations and 28 people on their way to this restaurant. The GM was rude to me and refused to acknowledge that there was a chance one of his employees had made a reservation with me by mistake. He would not work with us and try to sit us in the same area. He wanted to spread us out throughout the restaurant which defeated the purpose of our get together. Once he spoke to me rudely, I had my boss take over. He called Marlowes Tavern and told them the situation. They were willing to accommodate us so we left. The GM was rude and did not care to work with us even though there was definitely a breakdown in communication with their employees. I will never ever go back to this restaurant. Neither will my 28 friends.

I am normally a very fair judge that gives the benefit of the doubt to most but this establishment has gone totally down hill!! From the $7 Pinot Noir that tasted like cranberry juice to the $4 cup of lukewarm lobster bisque that had the consistency of cream of mushroom soup by Campbells. It gets worse. After my guests arrived, we proceeded to order Nachos as an appetizer. They were served relatively quickly although the same results. Cheese sauce in replacement of real cheese? Wow. Then came the nail in the coffin. We ordered dinner entrees. 2ea. $25 10oz Ribeyes and 1 pasta dish, steaks ordered Med. Rare and Med. Both came out well done.... to their defense, it almost impossible to grill a steak to Med. Rare and Med. when they are less then a 1/4 inch thick. Really? I was totally embarrassed for me and my guests. I cant comment on the Pasta dish as it never came out with the original order and was eventually brought out to go. I can think of a thousand restaurants in the area that would exceed these expectations for a C note. Time to regroup Managers!!! *** On a positive note, our waiter was EXCELLENT

A group of us went to Arena tavern before going to see the lumineers 3/8/17. Right away a manager was pretty rude and the hostess seemed to not have a clue to what was going on. We finally found our group with no help from them. Our server was good but it was obvious he was being stretched too thin. The food was ok but not worth the price. They ran out of glassware and had to switch to plastic cups, which is fine but pretty unprofessional. My friend waited 30 minutes for a drink and when our food came out and she still didnt have her drink we told the manager, Michael Miller I believe was his name, (same one who was rude from the get go) and he literally laughed it off, told us he would take care of it, then proceeded to instead go talk to another table. Finally a different manager came to our table and apologized and gave us a discount for our next meal. Dont know that well be back but the gesture was nice all the same. Overall pretty disappointing experience.

My first visit here 1/14/17.. Thought it would be a really nice place to stop for lunch on GameDay. I wasnt impressed at all. I ordered the Prime Rib sandwich ($16), thinking it would be hearty and filling. It was literally just shaved meat and cheese. No onion, peppers or mushrooms. No flavor besides the seasoning on the meat. Barely any cheese but at least it was edible. The roll was fresh out of a bag and not toasted or prepared in any way. Simply meat, cheese and bread with some good onion rings (previously frozen). Nice place and nice bar but they dont seem to care about their food. The pickle was the most flavorful part of my meal.. I doubt I return. Overly priced for the standard food. Longhorns Prime Rib Sandwich is 100 times better. Hell, Ill stick with firehouse subs for a prime rib sandwich over Arena Tavern. Cant belive it was over $16 for meet and cheese on a store bought hogie.. shame on me for stopping here..

Sunday evening. 2013 Mothers Day. All restaurants parking lots are full in the area. Arena Taverns empty. Lets give a try.... Even if we heard very bad things about price, food and service. Well its expensive ( thats ok ) , food took more time in the empty tavern the in the most busy ones. Quality of food, at best avaridge. The server was the only good, friendly experience. Because of one guest we all had to watch and listen an Ice Hokey game even during the 30 minutes half time adverts. When we asked and asked and asked again to have some thing else after long time a jerk, rude manager came to tell us off. Basically telling us to leave if we dont like it. And in a rude manner that we have never experienced anywhere in the world as we traveled. Now we know why the place is always empty. Very bad choice of managers. But possibly cant afford getting betters before going out of business. Never be back again!

Stopped by for a quick bite before seeing a show at the Arena. Ordered a "Dirty Hippy" (like a Black & Tan but uses Sweetwater 420 instead of Harp). Not layered properly. It was like she just poured the Guinness on top and didnt use a spoon. No line between the two pours. Anyway, we ordered appetizers. The Onion Rings were clearly out of a frozen bag and "Sliders" were appalling. Little hockey pucks on a uninspired bun with just enough onions to stain the bun and if you looked hard you could find two or three little bits in there. It came with a little iceberg lettuce on the side which wasnt much of an improvement. The server, Chelsea, was very pleasant and the only positive point in an otherwise dismal visit. The food was out quickly, which was a very good thing. It is probably a good place to drink Budweiser and watch a ball game, but Ill probably never be back.

Terrible experience. I had a promotion from local high school for a discounted burger. Before I ordered the meal i asked the waitress if I can use the promotions. She left and came back saying that I can use the promotion. I ordered the meal and receive it in 10 Minutes. I began to eat and the Manager came in. He stated that he can not honor the promotion. I asked him why when his employee just verified it. I told him that if I knew it that I would order something different from the menu and not the item listed on promotion. I told the Manager that I do not want to pay full price on meal listed on promotion and verified before the order. He than took my meal away. I was speechless. We than left the tavern and went across the street where we spent over $120. I will never go back to this taverna even that I live just few miles away.
