Ive been coming here for 3 years for blueberry muffins and black coffee of the hot and cold varieties. I was prompted to write this review after my visit this morning because of the manner in which the kind man behind the register dealt with my stupidity and unstable demeanor. I knocked an entire large iced coffee on the floor as soon as I was served with it. Like, I hadnt even signed the receipt and I was making a huge mess. There were few words exchanged other than "its o.k. No big deal" Also, the other patrons in line were quick to assure me that they had been in my shoes before and not to sweat it. Kavarna is a safe space for freaks who are fragile.

MY names Mike, I ran sound for a PALE CLEAR/ Femignome Shoe 6/13/15. . Want to thank Circa , for all her help with the PA set up. The venue has a great stage, with killer sight lines, The House Pa is Provided, but, you need to bring your own Effects Units and a couple of TRS Patch cords to use it in the mixer. The Waitstaff were all very Charming and genuinely nice and served you promptly and Courteously. Id recommend this Venue without ANY reservations.COOL PLACE COOL PEOPLE COOL VIBE , just plain Fun!! AMAZING COFFEE! AMAZING PEOPLE!!! This is by far the best coffee shop in ATL. Kavarna always serves fresh coffee that is smooth with a rich flavor- and it keeps regulars like me coming in every day! They also have an extensive lunch menu that offers healthy and unique alternatives to what can find in most Decatur restaurants. With funky decor and occasional live music events, Kavarna is a great place to meet with friends or just get some work done. Basically, its BETTER than Java Monkey, Dancing Goats, and Tap Room combined...

Staff was unfriendly. None of them were wearing aprons. Didnt see a single person wash there hands before preparing drinks. My hot coffee was given to me without a top. Everything was overpriced! Maybe Im just not use to going to mom and pop coffee shops and there all like this.

Pros: Love the atmosphere, the coffee is great! Love the art on the wall, they feature new artist every week, or so. Cons: Pastries are kind of high priced to be day old, the music can be TOO LOUD, music choices can be TOO "heavy metalish" not enough parking.

Well situated in the heart of Oakhurst. I go here to work in the afternoon to get out of the house. Kind bummed they scrapped the made to order bites for premade Carby sandwiches..Coffee is good nonetheless.
