Went there yesterday and told the hostess and the server about a seafood allergy. It was written on the table card, as I saw it when the chef came out. I also reminded him. He cooked the rice and then placed the chicken on the grill. Right under that he placed the salmon, I told him that I cant eat that now and he said oh ok. Not to mention he was using the same utensils for veggies and fish. I talked to the manager who didnt seem to care either. He said he would cook my food in the back, which I was not ok with at this point. Our server stepped up and said, this should not have happened we accommodate allergies all time. I have eaten there many time and never had this issue. I can say that I will NOT be back. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES.

The food is great if they get it right or if they bring it out still warm. My husband and I have gone several times hoping we will have a great experience. We sit at a table rather than the grill because it is just him and I and we have had to wait over 30 minutes before so they could fill the grill. Everytime we go to the table though it takes the waiter forever to even come to us to get our order and then they forget our order in the back so it is cold when we get it. We only get one drink because the next time we see them they are bringing us our bill. We have been very dissapointed. We would rather go to the kani house and pay a little more for better service.

I love the food. However, the customer service is horrible. The hostess told us our wait, for just a table, not even for hibachi grill, was 10 minutes. It ended up being 45 minutes. Our table just needed to be cleaned off so we could sit but nobody wanted to clean up, thus making us wait that long. The owner even looked at it many times but never told anyone to clean it so we can be seated. We finally got seated only to have to step on food and rice because they didnt sweep. Its frustrating when you love the food but because they cant get the customer service right, Id rather not come back. :(

Host lost track of our party and sat us an hour and a half past our arrival time after an estimated "40 minute wait." 20 minutes passed between our soup/salad and main course. Chef seemed tired and wasnt too excited to be there. Food was fine... when we finally received it. Prices are fine. No other apology was given with the exception of our waiter who offered a "were sorry about the wait, we are understaffed tonight." (they werent) We wont be back and definitely wont recommend this place to anyone else. If you must go, i recommend eating a big lunch right before you walk in the door.

Great cost! The menu is fairly diverse and can cater to vegetarian diets. Environment is compact and loud albeit enjoyable, if with friends and family. My only qualm with the food is the amount of soy sauce (thus sodium) used in the hibachi. I Co some a very high sodium diet and its still too much for me; I assume the Salt is to make up for little to no other seasonings. Overall a very good establishment with a great history in the Dawsonville area.

Might have laughed at the experience...if it had happened to someone else. I took my wife here for sushi. My wife has a few food allergies that we were very specific about when ordering. When the food came, her allergies had been ignored. I spoke to a manager, who did nothing to fix the problem. My food was also horrible (and I will eat gas station sushi). I paid too much money for a meal that neither of us could eat. I will never eat here again.

My husband and I are frequent diners at Osaka! The sushi is always super fresh and delicious! We have always had great meals, great service and are huge fans! As transplants to the area from NYC we really missed having access to great sushi. Osaka is every bit as good as our old sushi stops in the city! I recommend Osaka 100% and think you should try the Hollywood Roll - its my favorite! So glad you guys are in Dawsonville!!

This is my favorite hibachi grill! Ive been in 10 different countries across three continents and I havent had better service, food, or value at any other Japanese grill. I am shocked by the ridiculous comments by another reviewer. Maybe she was having a bad day, but there was little reason to react like that. As for a customer thats been here many times, I can say you will love it!

The meat was good. The sauces for dipping were horrible. The ginger salad dressing was horrible. The fried rice was so plain... try adding garlic, maybe bacon and some green onions... the corn in it sucked. The price was good charging xtra for veg was cheap..... a solid 3 stars for good meat shrimp and scallops the rest... . bring a trash can

One of the cheapest Japanese steakhouses Ive seen, but you get what you for. For the most part, the food reminded me of what you might get off a buffet. The chef who cooked our food was boring to watch and didnt do most of the standard tricks you would expect to see. Overall, not a bad experience, but I probably wouldnt go back.

Its OK for Hibachi, The Chef entertains with food.... I prefer the Bento Box, because Im not able to have mushrooms, but they put it in with my food time before last & cooked it touching my food too, even after I specified it to the Server & Chef. Be very aware of whats going in your food IF you have sensitivities!

The food was good. However, the air conditioner and the hood vents were not working properly. So, there was a combination of sweating through the entire meal, and choking on the smoke coming off of the grill. My throat is sore today, and I have a cough from residuals of the smoke I was breathing yesterday.

Mostly good experience. The food was good and week presented. The sushi was a little sloppily put together, though the contents were appealing. The waitress was week mannered and friendly who offered suggestions. A good existence ultimately though there is plenty of room for improvement.

Osaka has great hibachi and sushi at VERY reasonable prices. Their hibachi chefs and serving staff is friendly and attentive. Weve gotten to know the staff very well and they always make us feel welcomed and at home when we walk in. I love this place.

I had never been and my husband and friends said it was great. I was excited to finally get to go. Will not go back. The sushi was not great and the service extremely bad. I rarely tip less than 15% but I had to here. I tipped my sushi chef instead.

I dont speak for the hibachi, but the sushi at this place is so hit or miss. Once its awesome and the next time its inedible. I just dont get it. Such a variance in quality as well as service and for that reason its hard to recommend this place.

Only reason got one star was the waitress was awesome owner is an absolute jerk food absolutely disgusting dirty restaurant dated and well established that owner is only looking for next subject to pay check and go.
