This was probably the worst food service I have ever received. Just because it is Valentines day that is no excuse for poor service. I called this restaurant THREE times the day before to make/ revise reservations and when we arrived they only had written down the number of people from the FIRST time I called. Even with reservations we waited 30-45 minutes. When they called to seat us the woman moved us from one part of the waiting area to another and then went to retrieve other guests. We waited 10 MORE MINUTES after our name had been called to be seated. Our seats were available and NO ONE WALKED US TO OUR SEATS! Then when we asked why no one walked us to our seats the hostess replied "well youre here now!" The waitress took forever, did not accommodate us when the sweet tea did not taste sweet enough, did not turn the stove on for the chef so we had to wait 15 MORE minutes, the chef ran out of bowls to put sauce in so we went half the meal with no sauce, the sushi looked like it was from a cheap hibachi buffet and they ran out of the desert that came with the Valentines special. The service here was deplorable and down right unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HAVE 4 HOURS OF TIME TO SPARE FOR ONE MEAL!

My husband and I walked in after a long day of shopping .Dont get me wrong dining is 5 stars until Liz, the waitress came, and said in front the entire group that was dining there, well strangers, because we were eating at the hibachi section, our card was declined. Liz also said, "IT is PROBABLY BECAUSE YOUR CARD ONLY HAS $30, and your ticket is $40.". Really? That is totally embarrassing to say in front of people you dont know. You can call anyone aside, or say it in their ear, but say it in a tone that the whole world can hear it is not okay. She shouldnt be fired but it should be fixed, no one can lose their job for not having sufficient etiquette that cannot be fixed. Our card had a hold on it because we had too many transactions because of our vacation. This is not acceptable. Kani please fix this, your dining is great, but service not so much.

Weve been here before and had iffy service. But tonight is the worst. Im out for dinner for my birthday and we are so crammed at the table for hibachi that my chair is in the walk way. Elbow to elbow with my guests and 12 others on 1 side of the table. They dont make their drinks correct. You have to request sugar and a lemon for a lemon drop, unheard of. Took 15 minutes for the server to bring back our drinks. Im not happy with the treatment during busy time, they try to fit as many people as they can at a table and dont care about you having space to eat or breathe for that matter. Im chlostraphobic, i cannot deal with this overpopulated table. But i will sit here and suffer through because my fiance brough myself and 2 first timers to hibachi tonight. Our guests are mortified. As am i do better

Me & my husband went for our anniversary & It was my first time ever been to any Japanese hibatchi grill place & the experience was amazing. The chef was funny and very entertaining. I tried sushi do the first time. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and even explained to me which sushi I should try go my first time...the crunchy California roll....best thing ever. I loved it. Now Im officially ruined. Ill never be able to go anywhere else lol the food was to die for service was amazing. The experience was awesome. Im so happy and will recommend it to all my friends. Thank you kani house for making my 7th marriage anniversary amazing. You guys are the best!!

We were about to have dinner when the cook walked up to the table, looked at me, and made inappropriate obscene jest urea about me to my boyfriend. The dinner was uncomfortable to say the least. When management was consulted, the response was that they would just have a conversation with them. The cook came to the table to confront us and said that my boyfriend had blown it out of proportion. No apology was offered by the cook or management. I have no idea how the food was. The experience was terrible in general.

This was at the Dahlonega location. The meal was cold. I asked for shrimp fried rice it came half mixed with steam rise. I had total 7 small shrimp on it. I know they serve more generous then that at the cumming location. The only reason l went this location because it was birthday party. I will never go back to this location. Cumming location Kani House should teach them how to cook. Service was not friendly either.

Good food and excellent service, for the most part... Though I did order four rolls, apparently another group could get their two rolls of sushi, and meals long before us, and we had ordered about 15 minutes before them. Though let me reiterate, it was a busy night, even though, the service and food was excellent

Our waiter, Drew, was extremely neglectful. He completely forgot the drinks of the couple next to us. The chef also mixed up the orders of that couple and our order. I did not recieve the same deal here as I did in the Cumming Kani location on Market Place. I will be going there from now on.

This place is good. Never made me sick. Nice date place with the wife. Nice ambience. More expensive than the other hibachi place across the street but nicer and Bigger. Standard hibachi fare. The cook does the volcano. The womens are in Asian garments.....

Me and my wife enjoyed our 8th Valentines Day Dinner at the Kani House. The food was excellent, our chef was entertaining, and the service was exemplary! This was our third visit to this location, and would highly recommend them to everyone!

Best Sushi and Hibachi Ive found in the Dawsonville area. Plenty of food for your money and the service is excellent. Ive been here several times and have ordered several different items from their menu and Ive never been disappointed.

The service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was provided in a promptly manner and tasted excellent as well. Dont miss out on this place. I had the sushi. Reasonably priced as well.

The best restaurant in the Dawsonville area. This is a chain located around the Atlanta metro area and its well worth the visit. Sushi is very good along with Vegan/Vegetarian options!

Consistently good hibachi here. I had sushi last night with black rice. It was ok. The chef makes or breaks each experience. We had a hoot of a chef last night so it was a great visit.
