Our service was so bad tonight the manager put our dinner on the house.... I have been to this restaurant at least 5-6 times in the last year for personal and business. The servers are consistently in La La Land. The female Bartender always seems to be over worked. For the first time tonight my husband and I did not leave a tip....it was that bad. We should have left early but we would have had to drive to Hiram for another Mexican restaurant and our server kept telling us our order would be out in a minute......more like 50 minutes. They need a stronger Front House Manager to streamline their customer service and efficiency. 1st world problems.

This used to be my favorite Mexican Restaurant in the area until today... My Fiance and I were seated and them ignored for about 15 minutes, a bus boy came by and asked us if we had chips... we said we had not been helped. There were about 10 employees standing around the front door. Finally another customer mentioned to his waitress that we hadnt been helped and after 3 or 4 people came to look at our table to assure that we had not been helped (or whatever they were trying to determine ) someone finally came to take our drink orders. Then our waitress was rude and disappeared until we finally got up and asked the hostess to get our check.

I have never had a bad experience here! They are amazing with hospitality, its clean in here, & the food is amazing! Alfonso was our server tonight & he is the definition of a perfect waiter. Constantly made sure we were okay, pre-bused our table, drinks and appetizers were brought out faster than I could imagine. Also, my husband stole my sour cream & he took off immediately to the kitchen & got me a new one! I thank God this place is 2 minutes from my house, outstanding service & I will forever come back!

Food is good but always have a problem getting seated. Either our name gets passed completely or it just gets marked out "accidentally". Once we get seated it takes 10 minutes every visit to get a waitress. No sense of urgency from employees. Update: Decided I would try again based on owners response. Was seated quickly and immediately had chips. Kasandra was very great and stayed on top of refills, chips and salsa. Was very happy with this visit and hope to have many more good visits.

We ordered the skillet nachos. Had to get them reheated because cheese wasnt melted and beef was Luke warm, but once they came back, awesome!!!!! The house margarita is fabulous!!! The atmosphere is great, and the management really cares about the customers, as was evidenced by one of them bringing back our nachos and waiting for us to try them to make sure they were satisfactory. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone, and we will be back!!!!

Customer service is EVERYTHING to me and it was on point. I think saying "What" to anyone is just simply rude but maybe she was taught differently; the waitress that is. The food was great! Im an excellent cook so to say that is a lot, honestly. When I go out to eat, I like a different taste thats worth me spending my hard earned money. My sons and I will be regulars when we have a taste for Mexican other than my own!

Came for late lunch and this place is slow. So you would think the service would be on point. The service sucks. So many employees standing around and were not getting the help we need took over 10 min to just get a box for food to take home. The food was good except for my soft taco shell it was stale. I just cant slow service when your not busy and employees standing around.doubt we will be back.

Im appalled at how slow the service was! We waiting for an hour and half just to get the food brought out wrong... After speaking to the manager (Miguel) he informed us that we would be recieving an employee discount. Although this was generous, I felt disrespected that my time wasnt worth more than a discount. Some people clearly need to be trained in customer service. -A Disappinted Customer

Came in on a busy Sunday afternoon. Service was slow. Observed waitress having 2 6 tops, 3 booths and our 4 top. She was her own bartender. Food was good but missing the extras we asked for. She was too busy to check so we didnt get to say anything about it. Had to get our own to go box and thankfully we paid cash and didnt need change. Probably will go back hoping we get better service.

My fav go to restaurant. Best mexican food in this area even though there are alot of mex places around. Indoor atmosphere is vibrant and a little loud at times, and there is some nice outdoor seating available. This place is always busy which is a good sign. The food and the margaritas are great. Staff is friendly and remembers there regulars. Would recommend to anyone.

1 star is too much but hey I didnt have much choice. After sitting for 15 minutes we finally got chips and salsa but no drink order taken yet people that just sat down got chips salsa and drink order take. Seeing as how I have a choice of where to spend my money, we left and went to Huey Lueys...much better service. I choose to spend my money where it is appreciated.

Good food and service, we eat here regularly. They went through a rough period a couple years back with a change in management but they got it together after a few months. Particularly apreciate their willingness to acomidate requests such as adding diced jalapenos to various menu items prior to cooking them so all that flavor and spice bakes in!

I return because it is convenient to my home and the food is pretty good. It can get crowded on Friday and Saturday but most restaurants are between 6pm-8pm. Prices are very reasonable and SO FAR (knock on wood) they have not gotten my order wrong. Servers are quick and you get plenty of hot chips to go with the fresh salsa.

I am sitting in the restaurant now and my waitress Katie needs more training. When i have to flag her down to get something its an issue. She took our order and then we didnt see her till our order came out. Other than than that the food is great but i think you nees to hire ppl that want to work in cusyomer service

Excellent Restaurant, the service is great and I like that your servers are from all over the world, not just mexico or the united states. the food is delicious and the restaurant has the feel that they are trying to become a city landmark. I love them and would recommend them to anyone in the Dallas-Hiram area.

Dined here for the third time and I must say it was really good. Usually, I wait until dining a few times before I post a review to make sure the first time wasnt a fluke. La Cocina first take wasnt a fluke. The food is delicious and the services is amazing. We had the chimichanga (shredded beef and chicken).

The food was ok. Service was not bad but could have been better. Ordered a couple of combinations and the beef was not seasoned very well. Chicken was good though. Could not find health department score, but place looked clean. I know there were issues in the past.
