A beautiful restaurant. I cant say enough about the attentiveness of the staff. Even the owner was out and about checking on each table. I have seen some reviews complaining about the price. I honestly found it underpriced for the quality of food we received. My wife had fish and chips and it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I had a burger and got it well done. Its rare to find a cook who can do well done without drying it out. They done a great job. My burger was perfect. The fries are amazing. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Cartersville. You must visit this one. Oh and they serve brunch..i look forward to return trips and I strongly advise everyone to give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I wont be going back due to the prices vs quantity/taste of food. I just feel ripped off. I am not a cheapo at all but we ordered the crab cake appetizer for $12 and only came out with one small crab cake. I made a "sandwich" with the bread that was brought out to try and make it go farther since two of us had to split it. I ordered the shrimp tacos which came with 3 and was OK. Just shrimp, watery slaw that makes the tortillas fall apart and a few pineapple. My boyfriend ordered the fried shrimp that came with fries and both were very good. Our total bill was $42 and we had water to drink. Their mixed drinks are $10 each so I couldnt imagine having ordered a couple drinks with our 1 crab cake, 3 tacos and fried shrimp.

My husband and I spent his birthday at Maine Street Coastal and had a top notch experience. Our waiter, Chadwick, was as good as any Ive had in New York with a touch of southern thrown in. I had mountain trout in a lovely sauce with capers. My husband had sea bass. We both taste tested the others meal and although my trout was great, the sea bass was out of this world. Perfectly cooked! We started the meal with a dozen oysters on the half shell. Each was large, plump and juicy. The only thing better is to each appalachian bay oysters at the docks in Appalachian Bay. If I have any criticism, is is that the grits were luke warm but they still tasted great. The green beans were really yummy.

The salmon was burned and charred and the staff didnt care. They did however think it was funny and walked past us a number of times saying extra crispy for some reason. I think the joke was on me because I paid over $60 for the worst food Ive had in a long time. Id rather grab a pack of military rations MRE than go here again. The staff cut up the entire time and one guy felt like everyone in the restaurant would rather here him singing while he stood around and did nothing. This is how we were greeted, "Hey, go talk to her and she will get you seated." Ha, no wonder the place was literally empty. Once everyone in town has figured this terrible restaurant out, it will thankfully close.

We recently tried this restaurant again, after a bad experience 8 months ago. What a huge improvement! We were greeted promptly and the wait staff was attentive and courteous. There was a front of house manager making sure table service was good. The Blue Point oysters were fresh and yummy. We ordered steak with shrimp and fresh catch halibut, and both were cooked to perfection. It would be nice if they would list the prices on the fresh catch list like most restaurants do or provide a 1/2 sheet with prices along with the menu. We are happy to have a good seafood spot in Cartersville!

My family has eaten here on a number of occasions and have enjoyed each time. The food is always hot, fresh and enjoyable. The staff serve with sincerity and do a great job checking back to make sure everything is as expected. We order calamari at every restaurant that its offered and Maine Sts is among all time favorites; the sliced jalapenos intermixed are a great touch. I recently ordered the lobster bisque and it was delicious. Its nice to have fresh seafood properly prepared on a consistent basis. We will definitely be back again, and again.

I dont normally review restaurants, but this was exceptional. Im gluten intolerant and enjoy the selection of gluten free options. I had a chicken sandwich with southern greens and my husband had the jerk shrimp tacos. All dishes were well portioned and flavorful. The greens had a cooked jalapeno, which my husband promptly ate with the tacos. Yum. Our server was friendly and attentive and kept the water refilled on a hot day. When she brought the bill it was well reasonable for the amount of food.

We were really excited to have Mothers day brunch with this resteraunt today ..Unfortunately today we arrived as soon as doors were opened ..We had reservations were seated very quickly..We received water & Caribbean coffee very quickly and waited an hour for items off brunch menu ..Potatoes were under cooked as well as poached eggs on brunch item ..Normally a good place to dine ..Today not up to par unfortunately..Doesnt mean we wont try again!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Very fresh tasting seafood, not over priced. My husbands shrimp & scallops grits were remenecant of New Orleans and better than Henrys in Acworth. I loved the pita chips with the trout dip that the hostess recommended. I got seabass - light, fresh and cooked right. Service was great - it was a slow Sunday night. Cant wait to try the dessert we got Togo. Well be back.

I have been here a couple of times and each time the food has been absolutely amazing. The portions are huge for what you pay for and it is a nice cozy atmosphere with a hint of upscale feel to it. If they have it get the grouper it is to die for you should also get garlic mashed potatoes. If you are in Cartersville and looking for good seafood look no further!

All around great experience! Love the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and provide great service! Owner "John" even came around and checked on customers personally. My husband and I both had the fish and chips dinner and were both very happy with our meals. Great home made fries and fresh battered cod that was light and crispy. Will definitely be going back!

Overpriced and rather greasy. This is one of those places that WANTS to be high class so they just jack up the prices. Ive actually had better fish and chips at Long Johns. Fancy digs, but they need to look around. Cartersville isnt a center of wealth. We need more places we can afford with good food....not this pretentious, high priced hype.

Enjoyed this first visit to Maine Street Coastal. The owner, John, was very hospitable and made sure that we had a memorable experience. The food was awesome. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and they treated him well. If you go, ask for Erin- she is a remarkable server with an awesome personality. Thanks-well be back!

I have eaten there 2 times, the food is delicious but I had fish and both times, the size of the fish was about the size of a credit card!!! It was delicious, but for $32.00 I think the portion should be more in line with the price!! I will go back to Appalachian Grill, the food is delicious and you dont leave hungry!
