I must admit that my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine was at Meskerem, yet I am able to say with confidence that this is a restaurant to try if youd like something new and exciting. The staff was friendly, helped our party with ordering, and were more than willing to answer our many questions. For a fair price (about $7/person) all of the four people at our table had more than enough food. We had one of the dinners for a large party, so all of the entrees were shared. Every single one was unique and was wonderfully flavored. I also had the baklava for dessert. All in all, it was a phenomenal dining experience. Id recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fabulous meal.

The food is above average. However, the customer service is the worst I have experienced in Atlanta! Be careful with your credit card transactions. Although they have a lunch special, they will charge you for the dinner price. Also, I had multiple charges on my credit card from one meal. I called to resolve the issue and they hung up on me. I attemped to call back and no one answered. The issue had to be resolved through my credit card company. Although I enjoyed the food, I do not plan to go back and I will not recommend it to anyone unless their customer service improves.

I have been eating here for years. The service varies a bit, owing to some servers recently arriving in the USA & the customary language barriers. The food is superb. Be sure & try the house special sauce made from garlic and jalapeño sauce. They serve coffee second only to Octane on Howell Mill. Try the "coffee service". Coffee beans roasted over an open skillet, ground by hand, boiled in a fluted vase-like pot, and served for you. It amounts to a ceremony and something done in traditional Ethiopian homes. The flavor is amazing.

Went there today (Sunday) at 8:30 at night, the restaurant was Empty! This was my first visit, are they out of business? There was another Ethiopian restaurant called Desta about 1 minute down the hill. I went there instead--the good at that place was fine. If Meskerem has gone out of business, then they should alert Google and Yelp. If Meskerem just happened to close 3 hours early, then that is false advertising.

Having been to Ethiopia, this is as close as youre going to come with out actually being there.I highly suggest the Gomen (lamb & greens) and my favorite kilkil which is like a lamb stew with Injera ( Ethiopian Bread) If your into the raw stuff the Gored Gored are perfectly seasoned beef, cubed and eaten as is.The service is wonderful the ladies do good at suggesting new plates.

It was my first time coming to this place and it was spacious and clean. It was completely dead around 11pm on Saturday night. We had to buy a bottle to be able to sit in a section, but it took an hour and for me and my friends to leave and come back to get a server to help us out. It looks like a great restaurant with great food but that night didnt impress me at all.

Although it was under construction it is the best Ethiopian in town! Its legit too! I have been eating E food for over 25 years and did extensive study on the food and Luv is the only legit in town. DO NOT GO TO DESTA which is right next door just about. It is not good food, service sucks there too. Make the right choice you wont regret it! LUV IS THE BEST!

This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine. The food was great. The water was bad. We received two sets of glasses with debris in them. They finally delivered bottled water. There was something in the ice-bin. The food was great. The service was great, due to it was lunch and we were the only ones in the establishment.

My first Ethiopian experience. The food and service were excellent. The server also gave us tips for how to eat it more traditionally and made sure to warn us about heat levels and that the kitfo was raw, so that we knew what to expect - which was super nice of her.

Visited here recently and couldnt have been more surprised. The food was great, flavorful and well portioned. The service was great as well. We tried the Lamb Wot and the Gored Gored... couldnt have been better. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The service is very attentive, but not overly annoying. The food is great and of course, very authenic (having been to Ethiopia I can vouch for this).
