I went here for my birthday - the Thai curry. tofu was soggy and tasted like a container of salt was dumped in. The peanut sauce tasted off as well. I didnt want to cause a scene because I was around my family and friends. I called them the next day to discuss the matter. The server that served me told me that I wasnt the first person to complain on the salt matter. He said I could get a free entree and appetizer to make up the issue. He said he wrote it down. So I went to try the place again. Me and my friend went back to eat dinner and they first gave me a hard time about the free entree. So they called the server and he offered to pay for my meal. I didnt want him to pay, thats not his job. I asked to speak to the manager and they refused to come out. We ate dinner and it was pretty good. So before we left I asked again for the manager. Come to find out the manager is the owner. She wouldnt come out to talk us. Which is horrible customer service. Having you server pay for my meal and not even apologizing for the situation. After we both told her we were never going to eat here she pretended to come out. My friend asked if that was owner and our server was scared to answer us. He was obviously feeling nervous about what the owner would do to him. Horrible experience overall. Servers are great besides the guy who was the owners shield from us.

I went there a few weeks ago for my friends birthday. Our food was very salty and she called and spoke to a server about it after we left (she did not want to cause a scene while we were celebrating). The waiter she spoke to was very nice and told her that the manager would give her a free meal and an appetizer. We went there together a week later and a different server (an Asian male) refused to give us the free meal, only the appetizer. I asked to speak to the owner about the mix up but she never came out. The whole night was a mix up of who said what over the phone and come to find out the owner just did not want to make good on her promise to give my friend the free meal. She made the server that had previously taken care of us pay for our meal! Disgraceful! The other server (the Asian man) was very rude to us also and Im not sure why, maybe he was in some way related to the owner. The owner came out right before we left and as I walked up to her to speak to her about our bad experience she literally walked away and ignored me. It was the strangest thing. I do not know why she does not care about keeping her promises or having any form of customer service at her restaurant, but I will not go back again and i suggest you do not as well. This place rests on their laurels because they are in a good location and it is just not right.

A friend and I decided to go out and eat at 8:30 at night, on a Saturday. We walked out the door, as we were, shorts and sweaters, it was a little chilly. We decided on Orchid Thai. We drove up, the place was really busy and the waiters and waitresses were buzzing around helping their customers. We walked up anyway and were greeted immediately by the owner. We saw a table outside that was empty and wanted to sit there. The table still had the first customers dishes on it. She had the table cleared immediately and they still took the time to even change the tablecloth. There was a table full of college students, there were young couples, and families all there and all being treated with the same respect. Our waitress was Brianna and she was extremely busy, but the way she treated us, you would have never known it. The food was fresh and superb. When the check came the owner came out and apologized for the delays, we told her we did not notice any, it was just slammed busy. I have a new Thai place that I will visit regularly, you should too.

Five of us went there for lunch today, May 17th. It was my first visit. We were seated immediately. Just after we sat down, we noticed three customers (two women and a man) in the rear of the place. They were talking extremely loud as though they were intoxicated. They were also vulgar to the extreme dropping the "F" word and all manner of crude language. We then ordered our food and drinks. As we were waiting for our meals, the threesome continued their loud talking and vulgarity. We finally asked our waiter to tell them to quiet down. He never said a word to them. So, one of our group went over to the three and politely asked them to lower their voices. The guy then refused. He blatantly said he wouldnt do it. The waiter didnt get the manager. In the end, we walked out to the jeers of the three loudmouths. Outside, we cautioned three other people who were about to enter the place, to stay away due to the problem inside. They walked away. Based upon our experience, we wont be back.

Made the trip from Viera, and we are very glad that we did. It was a Friday night, so they were busy, but they happened to have a table that wasnt reserved. Nice small restaurant with a cozy feel. Outdoor seating is nice Nice selection of Thai meals. Started off with a white wine and Coconut Lemongrass Saki. The Saki was a hit! Spring Rolls and Crispy Tofu for appetizers. Both were tasty and plated nicely I dont remember what my wife had, but it was a little too saucy for her, but she still liked the taste I went for the Pad Kee Mao, and it was very tasty Dessert was the Coconut Ice Cream and also the Mango Sticky Rice If you are in the area and looking for some good Thai food, this is a must stop by!

I love everything about this place. Its our ten year anniversary and we chose to come here. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is great. The service is top notch. The prices are very reasonable. At the end of the night the waiter brought us a vegan desert that was not on the menu as a gift for our special night called Padgan ice cream. Its tea based with coconut cream. Wow! I cant say enough about Orchids in Winter Park, FL. Surely coming back.

We visited Orchid with a Groupon coupon in hand hoping to have a nice lunch and find a 'keeper' restaurant. We were quite disappointed and will not return. The noodles were very salty. When informed, the waiter apologized but did not offer another item from the menu or other resolution. Overall, the food and service left much to be desired and was definitely not worth the price.

We visited the restaurant for the first time with a Groupon coupon hoping to find a "keeper" and enjoy a nice meal. We were quite disappointed. The noodles in the padthai (sp) dish were very salty. When informed, the waiter apologized but did not offer a replacement or other resolution for the problem. We will not return as the food and service were less than expected.
