We have been to this restaurant many times and have recommended it to many of my friends. It is reminiscent of Italian restaurants in New York City’s Little Italy. The food is excellent especially the veal. Prices have risen 30% in the past few years, and it would still be worth it if the quality of service matched that of the food. Unfortunately it does not even come close. In Little Italy, waiters treat you like you are a guest in their home. In Stresa’s they treat you like you are an annoyance to be tolerated. Service at this restaurant has been declining for years. When I’m paying nearly $60.00 per person (with tax and tip) I expect to be treated professionally. Our waiter was curt, condescending, arrogant and insulting. He literally ruined the meal. My guests were shocked because I had recommended the restaurant so highly. There are many other fine restaurants in this area, I will not be going back to this one nor will, I am sure, any of my guests. If the level of service that we experienced is now typical of this restaurant, I don’t expect them to remain in business much longer.

I love authentic Italian food but the food last evening was mediocre at best. Also, we had the rudest waitress that I have ever experienced. My husband is working here in West Palm Beach this week, along with four other government employees. Two other spouses are also here with their husbands and we all decided to meet for dinner at Stresa. Our rude waitress never came back to check on us or see if we needed drinks, refills, anything! After we finished dining, we needed to divide the check but she informed us that "this is a restaurant, not a supermarket"! We have experienced wonderful local food and fantastic service at other restaurants this week; however, this was the worst we have ever experienced and we travel a lot with his job. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The servers are always quite friendly but I have had 2 disappointed experiences with 2 of the older crew, my first one was that we were seated by the waiter in a table for 4 people and we were a total of 5, so he pulled a chair so I said to him, why arent you seating us on a round table for 6? he did but kept a grumpy attitude all throughout. Second bad experience was yesterday, the old man wasnt friendly but rude instead, so asked for him not to come to my table anymore and he complied. Im old myself, been a server also and there was always a priority to please the customers not to antagonize them. NO NEED FOR THAT. Let them go into retirement and get fresh blood!

Was excited i found cannelloni stuffed with veal, chicken, and spinach. What does it take to get a good pasta dish for 20 dollars? 3 small cannelloni with sauce that couldnt have fed my 5 year old. Tasted like a Stouffers frozen dinner. Who writes the reviews? I grew up in Philly and our family meat business was across street from La Familia. I guess i was spoiled. Its sad a really good meal is so hard to find for working guy with good taste.

Very simple yet charming Italian restaurant, the service was personal and impeccable, the food was delicious especially the beet and goat cheese salad, the grilled octopus, the eggplant and ricotta appetizer, the roasted red peppers and anchovies, and last but not least the apple strudel was out of this world. This was our first vist to Stresa and we definitely will stop by again in the near future . Thank you Cindy for a great service.

Great food and great service! The atmosphere quaint, local, clean and very hospitable. No need to over dress but nice place for a semi elegant evening. Our waitress Susan was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. This is our new go to place when ever were in Palm Beach!

My absolute favorite restaurant. Whether its the veal gorganzola, chicken parmesean, doversole, capellini pomodore, penne vodka, canaloni, argula parmesean salad or whatever I am craving, I can count on Stresa to be delicious!!!
