Awful, absolutely awful. I tried tequilas once about a year ago, my experience was ok at best, I decided to give it another shot a couple months ago and any sliver of hope that this place would remain at the very least "OK" was thrown out the window. The food took about 40+ minutes to come out, me and my buddy ordered Empanadas, shrimp tacos and I believe it was called a Mexican cheese steak. The empanada was over cooked, Actually It tasted as if they cut the fryer off, realized they had an order put the empanada in the cold oil then turned the fryer back on, and I would also guess judging the color of the empanada that the fryer oil hadnt been changed in a week. They served my sandwich on old stale cuban bread that been hastily stored in the fridge in an attempt to keep it fresh, you cold taste the fridge in the bread. There was a party with a buffet going on that night, but that food should have been ready for the party, otherwise there were only 2 tables within the restaurant , I watched several cooks enter and leave the kitchen while me and my friend were waiting for our food including one gentleman that Im sure was the "Lead chef" or "Kitchen manager" None of these guys could bang out A shrimp Taco, Empanada and sandwich in 10 minutes? Actually I didnt really mind the wait, I had no where to be but you dont make someone wait 45 + minutes for food then serve them uneatable garbage. the one bright spot was the server, seemed like a good guy put in a bad position working at tequilas. I dont just hate tequilas because of the terrible food I hate them because they make Ybors food scene look terrible, I want this place to fold as soon as possible so that something better, which could literally be anything, can move in.

Racist manager and staff; do not recommend! Went to this bar with my wife who is a beautiful 28 year old Indian woman who was born in America. She speaks fluent and clear English! We walked in, sat down and the bartender cut me off when I went to order a drink and then helped the people next to us who walked in after us! He served them first (they were white as well all the couples) . Then he comes back and ids me..mind you I am 38. He didnt id the people next to us though. He then refused to serve me and after seeing the crowd in there I realized he had a problem with an interacial couple. I also saw him walk over to the waitress and overheard him say " why did you let this trash in". Mind you both my wife and I have our masters, we are educated. I work for one of the largest wealth corporations in the world and my wife is an attorney. I am appalled by the behavior of the staff and by the manager of the place. Be warned!

Place is dark and gloomy. Look at the a/c vents on top looks like they never been cleaned. Ruined my wifes Mothers Day dinner. Did the all you can eat fajitas her first plate was cold. They brought another one sizzling and said "is this how you want it" with an attitude. My second plate I had to wait over 15 minutes for it and then the steak tasted old and was raw. Later I go to pay and my credit card was not accepted. I showed them my bank account on my phone that it had more than the amount they where charging. As Im paying there is a random lady looking at me dead in my face and tries to kiss me. I pulled away and she kissed me on my arm. At the end of the day I paid my bill left no tip and the waitress looked at me with a nasty face. Will not recommend this place dirty and poor service.

Wow, we paid 14 and change for quite possibly the worst meal Ive ever paid for. Its supposed to be a Mexican dish, and they melted cheddar cheese on my chicken (Why?!). The rice and beans were cold and dry. The chicken was starting to get cold and the cheese looked like it had been melted for a while. Not to mention the staff could not have been any less welcoming, it took us standing in multiple locations throughout the place to get noticed. Maybe if our waitress had asked if the food was any good this review wouldnt be here. Please please do not eat here its really bad food. Oh, and before I forget, thanks for hiring an aging, bald version of the lead singer of Creed to systematically ruin every good song he could think of. Its not the 90s anymore.

The food hit or miss and the service is terrible. Two friends and I met there to grab a bite before going out for drinks in Ybor on a Friday night in August 2014. The server acknowledged us then forgot we were there, brought our drinks 20 min later, then messed up our food order. To top off the disappointing service, a drunken girl dragged an unwilling girlfriend over to our table (of three sober guys - at 9pm) and explained that this was the unwilling friends goodbye party. The drunken girl thought that the unwilling girl should meet us and proceeded to tousle my unimpressed friends hair for about 3 minutes. It was a disgusting, distasteful, inappropriate move....even for Ybor.

Tequila Tequilla Tequilla and Tacos Margaritas were awesome! Get the taco sampler and try them all theyre too good to just get one.. SERIOUSLY. Bar tender was very attentive and the place is affordable. The only thing that Id recommend is if you are someone who like guacamole ask them to show you what their "small" and "large" is.. The small is literally a cup to put a condiment in smaller that small is what the menu should really say but other than that this place is great and would totally recommend and go back

I dont drink, so this isnt really the place for me. The live music was good, the service as good, but the food was only mediocre. So its kinda a 3.5 star rating for me. I had empanadas, but there was nothing special about them. I will go one more time and try something else on the menu before making a final decision about the food quality. If the next time I go, the non-empanada meal is good, I would raise this rating to 4 stars. For the party crowd, this is a great place to hang out.

Hands down worst food Ive ever had. Id rather eat at a school cafeteria, or a hospital, or a soup kitchen. The burrito was stuffed with about 1 cup of pre-made yellow rice and undercooked black beans and they graciously sprinkled about 1 oz. of chicken in it. It was flavorless and tacky. On the side was a laughable amount of brown lettuce and tomato and about 1/4 cup of refried beans. Servers are rude and forgetful. Will not be back and will cheer the day you close down.

My Wife and I booked out baby shower at Game-time only to have the restaurant close for renovations with no notice to us. We found out 2 days before the event and scrambled to find a location. Not only did Tequilas allow us to have the baby shower at their location, but they were very accommodating. I was able to sample several of their appetizers, and really likes the pork quesadilla. My wife and I will defiantly eat here again.
