The only reason why Im giving it a 3 is because of the staff the lady that took my order was very nice and very polite other than that it was a total let down I had eaten breakfast there before and did not like but my mother keep pleading with to try there dinner so I did not feel like cooking one Sunday so we wen I had Turkey Wings cabbage and yellow rice I got a lot of unseason meat small portion of cabbage and what seamed like a half spoon of rice they state every meal is served with corn bread well I didnt get any probably was a good thing as they dont season there food you have a better chance of cooking a better dinner yourself. ..

I heard about this place over the road so, we stop. I didnt even get out the parking lot before I just had to try my food. Cause, the smells of my order was screaming at me. I ordered the ox tails,greens and mac & cheese. OMG. Best Ive had in years. The black young man was simply the best. (No pun intended)I had to give him five bucks, just on GP. Cause, he called me sir, about fifty times. Which was very koo. This place was a breath of fresh air for souls who love soul food. I highly recommend trying it out. You cant lose. Trust me, Im from Vegas. I can differentiate between good and ok food and or service.

Ok I Googled soul food N this place came up, after reading all the good reviews I thought...WHY NOT TRY IT!!! It was a HOUR away from where I live but I thought y not, if its as good as they say the drive is worth it but BOY was I wrong!!!! The service N price was ok but THE FOOD...(Ugh) it had NO seasoning at all. I git the fried chicken, pork chops, greens, cabbage, n yams...but Im sorry to say that the yams were the best part of the meal N now looking back I think ALL of those reviews r FAKE cause they sound like B.S!!......THAT IS ALL! GOOD LUCK

I eat dinner at this restaurant at least 2-3 times a week and I must say I am never disappointed. I always have carry out, so I cannot speak to the service within the restaurant, but the food is excellent. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed. This is the closest to my grandmas kitchen that I have experienced. I will continue to have meals here because it always reminds me of home.

I eat this food at least 3 times a week.Ive tried many soul food restaurants and must say Simply Good and Simply the best!!!! Everything has flavor and well seasoned.The owner who was called a fat slob in the other review is actually really cool and a nice guy to speak to.If you want great home cooked food this is the place to go!!

Cecil & Tanya are good people! My boyfriend and I eat or order takeout frequently. The food is good and we enjoy talking with the owners and other patrons. This is a good, down-home type restaurant. We also try to support the local community by eating here and not always at chain restaurants. ~ LT

I wanted some oxtails and was referred there by a co-worker. The oxtails were very tough and didnt have flavor, me and my husband is use to tender, saucy flavory oxtails from Moreno Bakery which is 5.00 cheaper so I was very disappointed. Gave it 2 stars because the plaintains were good.

THEY NEED TO PAY THERE VENDORS LOST OVER 350.00 DID NOT PAY FOR MEUNS BUT YOU CAN PICK ONE UP THERE :(, WE EVEN MADE THEM AN OFFER GIVE US BACK THE MEUNS AND WE WOULD CANCEL THE INVOICE, THEY REFUSE TO DO THAT TOO!!!!!!!!!! WILL BE SEEING THEM IN COURT.

Super nice staff. The food is great soul good as advertised.. And it very unassuming for the out side but you very comfortable as soon as you open the doors. Very nice and clean and surprisingly artsy, and even has a piano for customers to play

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR GAS GOING TO SIMPLY GOOD, ITS SIMPLY BS. THE FAT SLOB THAT CALLS HIS SELF THE OWNER IS DOWN RIGHT GROSS, THE KITCHEN AREA IS DIRTY AS HELL, FOOD IS TASTELESS!!! POOR EXCUSE FOR GOOD HOME COOKED FOOD.

The food here is great and the prices are reasonable! Ive had the chicken & waffles and the fried pork chops with cabbage & sweet potatoes...loved it. Will definitely be going back again...and again...and again!

As u can from the comments one unhappy left unpleased.well I think he was unhappy because he had to pay he said the kitchen area was dirty as hell.if u can see in the pic where is the kitchen u cant see it!!!!

The food is good, but they have fallen off with the chicken and waffles. The first few times I had it was good. My last two visits the wings has been nasty with no taste. Please return to the first recipe.

Amazing food. The wait time for food is a little long but worth it. Cant rush perfection. The owner sat down and talked to us while we waited for our food. Great atmosphere. Definitely going back soon
