$37 bill for 2 dinners (used appetizer coupon). $8 tip (felt low). Complaints: The front door feels like its the back door. Really odd. Anyways, I decided to take my wife out. We brought our youngest just in case a nursing emergency happened. We chose Red Lobster because I wanted the endless shrimp and she wanted fish. We chose this location because the slightly closer branch looks run down and previous experiences it does have a smell. We arrived without a reservation and were immediately seated. Our server, Jeff, showed in less than 5 minutes. He looked very serious to me, but my wife thought he seemed to enjoy his job at first glance. He allowed us to use our coupon on the "Create Your Own" and decided to let us have the 3 item version for a meager $2 surcharge. I did go with the endless shrimp and my wife went with the "Salmon New Orleans". He never let either of our glasses get less than half empty, always asked me way ahead of time which shrimp order I wanted next, and even cooed our daughter a few times. He even cracked a joke about a guy who ordered a pound of king crab legs before getting the endless shrimp, and eating 13 orders of it. I told him I might could do 8 but that would be pushing it. Laugh. I dont remember all of the things that happened, but I do know this. Jeff worked amazingly hard and always pointed out any discrepancy above and beyond what my wife or I had. From informing us to the take out box rules revolving around the endless shrimp to getting us to go cups for the drinks. Im creative but respectful, but my wife says I do ask a lot of the server when we go out - she thought we worked Jeff pretty hard. Shes even surprised I remembered his name. That should be telling. Very relaxing trip.

8 of us dined on Friday 4th April 2014. first I ordered tea and the cup came with hair in it the lobster and artichoke dip was corned with salt and could not be had of 8 main courses 6 were too salt to eat. even the fries were covered in salt when I asked for a manager he was really nice but I did not feel as if it meant nothing to him. one of the people in our party was upset from the amount of salt and afraid to send it back 1 because the place was packed and 2 afraid they would do something to the food in the kitchen for complaining. If I have to feel like that I better not eat at the place!! I have been going to Red Lobster from 1981 and this is the first time the experience has been this bad, mind you the food has been not as good as it was years ago but I think this can be addressed and it come back to its original quality. Hope this review will help you come back to your normal good standard of food we have all become accustomed to.

I wish I could only put half of a star because todays visit at red lobster was atrocious . My mother , sister and I had horrible service when our side salads came out they were very drab and plain . My sister ordered the crab fest drink and with the purchase of the drink you can keep your glass in which it came in but however the waitress tried to explain to us that she had to pay for the glass despite what the menu said when it said that you can keep the glass , we demanded the manager to come to our table and even she tried to defend our waitress WHEN THE MENU CLEARLY SAYS "buy the drink keep the glass" so then our food came out and my moms shrimps was nearly burnt very dark and she wasnt given no dipping sauce for them this is our second bad experience with red lobster lol you would think coming to a red lobster located in a better area would give better service lol not in this case we will not be coming to red lobster no time soon

Of the handful of locations to choose from in the area this is our second pick (there are only 2 we will go to; this one and the one on Commercial Way, Spring Hill). It seems the atmosphere is more laid back and quiet here compared to other RL. We have always been pleased with the food though crablegs, whole lobster and mixed drinks are pricey. Their frozen drinks are fantastic though! (I dont get why seafoos is so pricey. The fishermen that risk their lives to haul it in get mere cents per pound!? They should get much more, not the fish mongers and restaurants!) BTW, I do agree with Phil, the main door is in an odd place, the whole restaurant and parking area are odd. AND I believe I know which other RL location he is referring to with the smell (maybe the one by Busch Gardens? Its the worst RL Ive been to)... we ate there once years ago and it is the worst of the bay area (Pasco,Polk,Hillsborough Counties) locations weve been to.

We went as a family of five and were very upset with the food and service. I ordered popcorn shrimp and fried scallops. When my food was delivered the waiter stated he placed the order for fried scallops but was given broiled scallops. He did not make any motion to correct it or anything. The waiter would walk around the back side as not to have to see our table when we were asking for refills of tea and water. When he was asked to bring more biscuits he stated no problem. We had to ask a second time for biscuits as our first request was not granted. He never came back to our table to check on us until he tried to order desserts for us. We went to the Bruce B Downs branch since we were told that several people had been treated badly at the Dale Mabry branch. We will never go back to Red Lobster because the food and service was unacceptable. There were 4 adult and 1 child meals ordered and our bill came to $115.00.

This is absolutely the slowest restaurant I ever encountered. They leave you one hold for several minutes to place a to go order. I called twice and was placed on hold twice for more than ten minutes each time. I finally ended the call when no one picked up. I dont understand why there is no online ordering. Its 2016. You can pretty much adopt a child on craigslist and you cant place an online order at Red Lobster. Seriously. This is why I always end up at Olive Garden. They are fast, the food is great, and guess what, you can place an ONLINE order. So done with this location. Beyonce should have took him to Olive Garden instead! Ugh!

I have to say it can be hit-or-miss, with over-cooked lobster and steak, occasionally bland shrimp scampi, and a less than stellar ambiance, but one trip did a lot to change my mind. It was during their Lobster Fest promotion, and I ordered the "bar harbor bake." It was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly in the broth and it tasted almost as good as the lobster I had at Iron Chef Morimotos restaurant in New York, which is a huge compliment. Maybe it is the broth that makes all the difference, but it was delicious.

Red Lobster in Tampa Palms, New Tampa, FL was Great! Michael was my Server & he was awesome! Kudos to YOU Michael for such great customer service. My daughters said you treated me like Royalty free photo, to dinner for my 58th birthday & I truly enjoyed my food, & my dessert. It was a wonderful 58th birthday dinner. My Friend Rhonda brought me back a day later & my food was equally as good. Good food, great time with my family. :-)
