One star is far too high to rate this establishment. I have tried Hawkeyes single slice pizza a few times while stopping at the gas station. The pizza was pretty good considering it was probably sitting under a warmer for hours. When I saw they were on Uber Eats I decided to give something else on the menu a try. I do not eat sausage and was sure to state no sausage. When I received the order there was not only sausage but onions (which were not listed in the food description). I called the store and was told they were not sure how to handle the situation and they would call me back and let me know what they could do. I never received a call back. Months later, today, I decided to give them another try. After being sick for a week I did not feel like leaving the house but since my online order was wrong/mishandled last time I phoned in the order to be sure it was clear. I stated no ricotta cheese in my calzone. My boyfriend picked it up and once I cut it open, surprise, ricotta cheese! I called the store and was directed to a manager. After explaining to him this is the second time my order has been wrong and last time I was told someone would call me back he refused to refund my calzone. He offered to make another one or give me store credit, neither of which I wanted after giving them two chances. My boyfriend also offered to drive the calzone back. After refusing to refund my money several times I threatened a poor review (which I could have done after my first poor experience). He then flat out told me he wouldn’t refund my money because “it comes out of his paycheck”. So now I have a whole calzone sitting in the bottom of my trash that came out of my paycheck. He stated his name was “John” in the beginning of the call but then said that was a fake name. I hope the owner realizes that, “a business is only as good as it’s employees”. In summary if you enjoy overpriced pizza that is not even what you ordered with horrible costumer service then this place is for you!

Mediocre at best. Placed an order for pick up, lady seemed nice enough on the phone. This was my first time eating at Hawkeye so I wanted to try one of their specialty items. I ordered cheese sticks (specialty) and the bruschetta bread (a new item). Lady said 20 minutes. I arrived on time for my items. Lady barely greeted me because she was on a personal phone call during my check out. I didnt want the food to get cold on the drive home so I had a nibble. COLD! These cheese sticks appeared and tasted as if they were fried in old oil right out of the box. The bread was cold. I think it is a good recipe and would have been better fresh out of the oven.

Quality has fallen greatly. Ordered from them frequently as they used to have great pizza. However, despite the recent decline in quality (this area doesnt have much in the way of good pizza), I tried to place a to go order this evening. As I was ordering, the line broke up and the order taker started cursing at me because he couldnt hear my card number. I literally did nothing to instigate this, I even tried to walk outside so he could hear me better. When I called back the manager only pretended to care. Will never order from them again.

This review is of the pasta dishes, not the pizza. My husband and I ordered the chicken Marsala ($11.99) and chicken Alfredo ($12.99). The guy at the counter said they were "homemade". I wasnt expecting homemade pasta, but I was at least expecting homemade sauce. The Alfredo sauce tasted like pre-made jarred sauce that you can buy at a grocery store. I was upset we didnt eat at Olive Garden instead, the pasta is much better and it wouldve been cheaper! On a positive note, the staff are very friendly.

Order food tonight, had a steak sub, pizza, and baked ziti. The sub was excellent, the pizza was as well, and the ziti was made with meat-sauce good blend together. Had it delivered, and I live in Wesley Chap, it took a hour, which the lady told me that when we ordered. She said the bbd delivery takes longer because they are at the end of cross creek, but I thought we got it pretty fast. Highly recommend, do not do what I did by not ordering because of a review, I was impressed.

Ordered a Greek XL pizza while on vacation in Tampa from this location. We ordered the pizza mainly because of the gyro topping, although each slice had 1-2 tiny pieces of gyro meat. Contacted them as soon as I received it and all Nick "the manager" had to offer was 10% off next purchase, after telling him I will only be in town until the next night. He rudely hung up the phone in my face. All in all horrible service

We ordered a pizza at 5:30 at 5:55 i got the text saying its being delivered at around 6:30 we got our pizza semi warm and they are maybe 10mins from our house. Then when ordering online the toppings is not adding in to the price properly so we had to give the guy the money for it, ok I get that no problem but he didnt come with change for a $10 so we had to go searching for $5. Dont think we will ordering again.

Please dont let looks deceive you. This establishment is a secret gem. The food here is amazing. Not only is their pizza out of this world but they have some outstanding pasta dishes too. Every time I go here I try something new and so far Ive never been disappointed. Staff is funny and I always feel welcomed. Also major bonus points for delivering when I dont feel like getting out of the house.

Food wasnt bad. But it took over an hour to deliver. We called and said theyll be there in 2 minutes. after another 15 minutes waiting food finally came. Then they forgot one order. So we call and they said they will send the guy again. Its been another hour and food still not here. Absolutely horrible service. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!

Flavorless. For a place that advertises New York style pizza, one would expect a really great pizza. I ordered an extra large, sausage with 1/2 bacon and 1/2 pepperoni. The pizza was large and appeared ok. However, the toppings were minimal and there was very little sauce. The pizza I had was bland and flavorless. I am not ordering pizza from this "NYS Pizza" place again.

I had the Chicken Philly and Cheese.... it was horrible. The green pepper was under cooked, the onions were over cooked and the mushrooms were surprisingly under cooked. The chicken was dry and tasted as if it came straight out of the freezer. The bread was good but the actual sandwich was bland and dry. First time going there and last time going there.

I recently discovered this place and loved it, I was eating it pretty frequently. Until today on my break. Got some pizza from here and when I picked it up there was a smashed cockroach under the pizza. Didnt even bother to waste my break trying to get my money back just not ever going here again and sharing why no one else should eat here.
