Based on reviews from Yelp and TripAdvisor, we decided we had to give Sola Bistro a try, and we are thrilled that we did. Ive been looking for a place like this in the St. Petersburg area for 3 years, and here it is! Everything was just as close to perfect as you can get. Our server, Alicia, was professional and gracious, the host/owner was warm and accommodating. The food was terrific, and the wine list showed careful thought, a good range of choices, and reasonable prices. My partner had the chicken liver pate, which was light and dreamy. His entree, grilled dorade, was probably one of the best grilled fish dishes weve ever had anywhere--it was fabulous. I had the rabbit cacciatore, which was what Italian comfort food tastes like to me. The polenta on the side was the perfect consistency and flavor. We finished dinner with creme brulee, which was quite nice. We will definitely be back often.

I ate at this restaurant last week when in town on business. Checked their reviews on Google , Tripadviser and Yelp and decided to give them a try. Excellent choices on the menu and very interesting specials. Since you never see phaesant on the menus anywhere that what i ordered. It was prepared perfectly, not dry and plenty of food. the wine list was also impressive. Not huge but very interesting wines from around the world. Definitely a great alternative to all the usual suspects when vacationing on a beach. will be back whenever in town

Love this cozy bistro! Fabulous food and wine, very reasonably priced. Friendly, inviting owner and wait staff sets the the tone for a truly enjoyable evening. Would also be great for a happy hour. Highly recommend the figs & chorizo, burrata caprese, Sterlings ribeye (dont skip this delicious sauce!) and the special that evening, Pork Osso Bucco. Melt in the mouth tender...Yum! Finished off our visit with a delightful créme brûlée. Family friendly. Cant wait to go back!!

Wonderful menu selection that changes regularly. They offer dishes that are unique for most places here in the beach. Vinson, rabbit, alligator, etc. Also more traditional offerings: filet, quail, pork belly, grouper, and more. Very cozy and intimate place smaller establishmnet, but definitely worth stopping in to check out. Nice wine selection, beer and wine only (at this time). The owner was at the bar pouring wine for guests and making table visits. Very friendly.

Went here on a whim to celebrate our anniversary with a fancy dinner. Did not disappoint! Friendly staff and delicious food. Everything was exceptionally tasty--pork belly with daikon salad, cheese and charcuterie plate, filet mignon for my husband and grouper Mykonos for me. Even the olive oil provided for dipping the complimentary bread was very good. Service, food, and price were stellar.

Best kept secret in St. Pete/Clearwater! We are local to the area and find it hard to get away from the beach tourist trap fried fish restaurants. This is far from that- foodies will not be disappointed! The cheese and charcuterie (get the burrata), shrimp & polenta, fig & chorizo, beef carpaccio, Gaya Salad, Grouper Mykonos, Carbonara, are a few of our favorites!!

My wife and I ate at Sola Bistro tonight and it was fantastic! We had the beef carpaccio, duck confit and roasted pheasant. Everything was delicious! The wine selection was excellent as well; I had a District 7 Pinot Noir that is now probably my favorite Pinot! Its awesome to see great new restaurants open up along the beach. Check it out, we highly recommend it!

Fine Dining Rating 4 -Excellent! The only thing preventing a 5... I would like to come back at a busier time. Ive never given a five. Shrimp polenta great taste, good textures; Grilled vegetables just right; Honey cake, Ive never had it before... not too sweet and very good. Server was efficient, friendly, and insured orders were correct.

I was looking for a good steak, and Sola did not disappoint. 16oz ribeye with amazing sauce. The price is fair for so much food, and the wine selection is excellent. I tried the wings for a starter, and it was the best wings Ive had in St Pete. Also I was very impressed with the service, anything I needed they were there to assist.

Fantastic experience our waiter John was amazing, and we spoke to the owner for a while as well. Food was top notch and the wine list was great. Lots of house made items and unique dishes in a laid back atmosphere. Forget the overpriced burgers on the beach and come enjoy some genuinely fantastic food and wine in St Pete Beach.

Probably, one of the best restaurants Ive been to. Great service, wonderful owners, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, even the music is great there. We tried: shrimp and polenta, beef carpaccio and grouper entree. Dont skip the desserts, they are fresh and mouthwatering!

Everything is freshly made. The steaks are fantastic and the chef has some unique offerings. Last week they were serving lamb heart and it was delicious! Any place that has Guinness on tap has my vote.
