I reviewed all of the comments on this place before I went. I was excited to have good sushi and even happier that my kids could enjoy their favorite style of cooking while I at my sushi. I cannot tell you how bad this was. Most of the problem was the service. When our waitress was trying to take our drink order, the chef came over to our table and yelled at her for messing up a previous tables orders. I knew this was going to be bad as this was very un-professional. I never even got my sushi because they were "busy". The kids liked the fried up chicken and rice, I went home hungry. To top all things off, the waitress delivered the bill with the tip included because we had 6 people at the table. I calmly explained to her that I understand this policy, but reminded her I never got any food. She did not care and said I had to pay the 18% tip charge. So sorry I ever went to this place.

Nice location and atmosphere, very long wait! We visited the location as it was very close to our hotel. Our Kids love visiting Hibachi grill, but the perk is theres usually enough entertainment going on that sometime longer wait times arent an issue. At this particular location we were seated immediately however there were 3 other grills nearby all also seated. There was only one chef working so it was nearly an hour before the chef even began cooking. The food quality was good, however some of the chicken lacked flavor that weve experienced with hibachi before. Would probably not visit again as Hibachi grills are usually very pricey. Between the wait and the food not being the best I would rate this a high 3 or low 4.

We went to Fugu last night while visiting St. Pete Beach. We were impressed from the start as the facility is very nice. While the food may seem a little bit pricy, once we tasted it, any apprehension about spending good money disappeared. The waitress was very friendly and made healthy suggestions to us, which we appreciated. We also liked that she suggested we try some of their sauces and then brought us a sampling. We had the Hibachi-Teriyaki Chicken and Grouper. I would recommend both! We also started off the night with a Philadelphia roll which we enjoyed. The spicy mayo is, as always, yummy :) We felt like this place was a great find for us and will be back if and when we are in the area again!

Saw this in a magazine at the condo we were staying at and so glad that we eat here! The atmosphere was very beautiful and represented a Japanese steakhouse very well. The waitress was charming and they always refilled your drinks even when you have 1/3 left (lol). I highly recommend the habichi as it makes the dining experience highly worth it. The chef was hilarious and was amazing at cooking the food in front of us, doing tricks and knew how to cook the food properly. Its a bit pricey, but thats how a lot of steakhouses are. This particular steakhouse, THE BLUE FUGU is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner and we are definitely going back for more!

First off, we walked into the restaurant almost an hour after it had opened and found no wait staff or chefs present. 0. We even looked around the restaurant for a good 5 minutes before someone was able to seat us. We chose to sit at the sushi bar and placed our order. The two chefs got to work quickly, and the freshness of the fish began to make up for the bad start we had just encountered. Our waitress visited once, a bit odd in my opinion as there was no one else in the place. Overall the price is a bit high considering the service we received, however the sushi was pretty damn good.

we are charged over $60 for one titos and soda and two captain and cokes... they were double talls but came in a small glasses and we not strong at all... our total bill was over $100... for 5 rolls and 3 drinks. sushi was not that good at all... when I asked the manager what this was about she smiled and seemed proud of her over priced small drinks... we will not be back there ever. if my wife had not been with me i would have made a scene... I was so mad and even more mad after speaking with the manager... just RUDE I highly recommend not going here.

My husband and I love to eat here! Its our favorite japanese restaurant and every time weve been the service and food have been amazing. I dont know what some of these other people are talking about because our food tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. We havent ever had bad food here, not one time. The decor is beautiful and fitting for the beachy area and always nice and clean. The restaurant itself is a bit hidden but its so worth going! We will most definitely be going back.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sirata and Saturday night we decided that we had enough of the beach style restaurants and found Blue Fugu. We did the hibachi grille and will be going back, as other reviews say this was the best weve ever had. The food was amazing and the service was equally good. On our way out we checked out the sushi bar and well be going back for both the grille and the sushi bar. Finding this place made our weekend that much better.

Early dinner was nice. Got seaweed salad was.a good portion and very good. Sushi was fresh tasty and prepared quickly. Service was as good as any in the resturant business. Price was not too bad two of us had four rolls two were high end seaweed salad and my wife had two frufru drinks. Cost $55. A good atmosphere and nice relaxing place the sushi chef talked to us and answered anything we wanted to know.

We had the sushi appetizer, agedashi tofu, and the Spicy Crawfish Roll. The sushi appetizer (with california roll and 4 pieces of fish sushi) was exactly what we expected, and well done, as was the agedashi tofu (which is fried tofu with benito flakes on top). The Spicy Crawfish Roll was very tasty, though I will probably take a certain amount of grief for my pro-jalapeno-in-sushi stance.

Not as good as a year ago. The chicken was extramly tough and tasteless, same with the shrimp. We also ordered the spider roll and it was extramly burnt that it was hard to eat. We did eat it because we were extremely hungry but we will never be coming back. If we wanted fried rice, its $10! The only good thing this has going for it is the waitress. She was very nice.

We went to the Blue Fugu because of the supposed rating. This was an insult to Japanese food. The sushi was lower quality than most grocery stores, the shrimp tempura was made from frozen shrimp, the seafood udon was way too sweet and the seafood had a frozen taste. Worst Japanese restaurant we have ever been. We know because we lived in Japan for several years.

Japanese steakhouse that has the option for the habatchi table where they cook in front of you or a regular table . Many vegetarian and even some vegan options . They serve udon noodle soup and aedashi tufo but I have had better in London . Overall friendly staff and nice interior with seasonal prices brings it up to 4 stars . Been going here for years !
